Mine has really really upped it's movements the last couple of days. Last night I saw either a knee or an elbow move accross from one side of my belly to the other. I almost wondered today if there is such a thing as an over-active baby??????

RE: Baby Moves

Andy,

Molly & Daisy were very active babies & moved most of the day & night, try drinking fresh orange juice/squash/fresh lemon, then you will really feel baby move all of the time, I remember once I had a lemonade drink with lots of slices of lemon in & they moved all night & I didn't get any sleep, it's the citrus that make them active!!!! horrible mummy!!!(me that is not u!!)

Junior decided that tonight was a good night to make its presence well and truly felt. Was relaxing in the tub when the little kicks started, followed by what felt like a somersault. Movement continued for over 5 minutes and I could feel it with my hand and even see my belly quiver in one or two spots with the force of the movements. Was absolutely amazing to feel and see!
Wonder if I'll get a repeat performance tomorrow night?

Hi

I felt my first flutterings at about 18 weeks, and the only way I can describe it is like a twitch. Do you ever get a twitch in your eye? If so it is like that but in your stomach!!! (Hope that makes sense). Since then it has just got stronger and stronger each week, and now I can feel definate kicks.

Its impossible to describe exactly as everyone has their own interpretation, but it has been described as bubbles, butterflies, muscle twitches, something prodding /stroking from the inside!! The list goes on!! For me it felt like wind, I was around 16 weeks and I felt a gentle but rapid series of taps low down below my belly button. I just knew that it wasn't wind. It is very irregular at first and hit and miss where and when you feel it, but gradually as your tum gets more full up you feel it more often and with more force!

Your 2 will be fighting for room in there soon!! :D

hmmm, a few days ago so 19 weeks. Felt like something prodding me very gently from inside. Each time I feel it now (and it is still infrequent) it feels different.

Just past 20 weeks......like being poked on the inside but also like you need to go and have a nuclear fall out in the loo...dont like the actual sensation myself but love the fact that I can feel pip and that he is well and happy.

I got nothing but flutters for ages and when I got past 20 weeks I started to get a bit worried that something was wrong because I still wasn't sure that what I was feeling was the baby moving. I was at least 22 weeks before I was cetain what I was feeling was the baby moving.

Today my bump is really tight, and feels really uncomfortable. It's as though Junior is spasming - anyone else getting this? Could it be that I'm getting nearer to the 3rd tri?

my main problem seems to be bloody back ache. esp late in the afternoon after being sat at my desk.

oh and swollen ankles and feet now and again ... oh the joys !

Some days it's like spasms, others it's obvious kicks.

Today I've got the stretching pains, back ache, sides ache, tired, aching everything. Everyone is convinced baby will come early and I'll have finished work by end of Aug!
