when you wrench yourself off the sofa - have you ever looked at your stomach? Goes into a right weird shape (and mine hurts!)

Mine never did that. Always stayed neat. We never got to see little feet sticking out either :( I really looked forward to that bit too

When i was pregnant you could clearly see my daughters arms and legs moving about. Towards the end of my pregnancy my daughter got hiccups at the same time every night and you could see her jumping - it was amazing. Enjoy all these little movements.

GIrls

pointy tummy when you lean back, get up go down etc means that your stomach muscles have parted...fraid you all need to be careful and make sure you engage your abs before doing such things or you will make it worse...which is not ideal!!!!

It happens to a lot of PG women..it has in fact happended to me...I thought I might get away with it cos of my excercise...but no!!

We all jst have to hope that with ysome care to redue furhter parting and time they will go back post birth

DP has got the pointy tummy muscles above bellybutton but below solar plexus (due to his beer gut)
Mine has started to make that shape when I do situps etc, not as bad but still there.
Think we are all buggered!

Wella

HAve a firm word with yourself young lady...sit ups are banned...and we know someone who would know all about that dont we!!!

ANdy pink...your tummy ideally shouldnt point but if your muscles have parted then you will see the tummy peak in the middle running down from the top just undet your bust....basically eventually it will be the full length of your tum but is most obviuos at the top .....you need to be careful doing things like getting in and out of bed/bath/chairs etc..you should always get up from anything by rolling slightly to one side and pushing up with your arm!!!

Listen to your auntie tink now !!!!

Tinks - I've been 'rolling' out of the bed and off the sofa for a while now. Last night I flopped into bed and it hurt! Then yesterday I got out the sofa the wrong way and it really made my stomach sore.

Andy, the woman who owns my gym has had 2 children and has the kind of stomach you could scrub your washing on. It will come back Hon. Just take your time working at it.

I'm stiil at the stage where I'm rubbing my bump so everyone knows I'm pregnant and not just fat!

But what the .... is wrong with the restricted space in my tummy! Can't eat like I used to.
Have to go and lie down now, feeling sick.
Yesterday I overdosed on sushi, that has NEVER EVER happened before...
Today I had a burger, not a huge one, just a normal burger with fries and I can't move!!!
(could have something to do with the 3 icecreams (non dairy) and the bacon sandwich I had for breakfast).

I need my food otherwise I get cranky and unplesant... There is still a pretty long way to go and I fear that I will starve to death!

Placenta is anterior high so that might be a culprit too... bastards!

Oh the inability to eat a meal!!! During the last few months of my pg I could only at half of what I had done before!! As for drinling, my bladder would be full, or so it would seem, after a glass of water!! I am only now getting used to the idea that when I feel like I'm bursting, I am, and its not cos I have a baby lying on my bladder :D

You lot are so funny!!

I agree with the 'feeling like eaten a 3-course meal' thing. But then I blame my full pre-tea stomach on the packet of fat, cornetto and snack size galaxy I have before my meal. If Junior wants Junior gets.

Baby Moves

What kind of things make your baby move? Mine seems to like evenings best and has a good old wriggle and wouldn't keep still when the midwife was trying to find its heartbeat, the little monkey! My niece used to really kick if my sister ate Chinese food. I think its a lovely wayto get an idea of their little personalities.

I miss this so much!!

Eating spicy food used to make Lolly squirm like mad! Also, in the evening after tea and at bedtime, if I was hungry she used to tap as if to say 'will you eat something woman - I'm starving!!' - she still has a good appetite LOL!!!
