Hi sparkle,

I’m not too sure of your protocol but in my previous ivf attrpmts where I down regulated for 2 weeks approx my period always arrived before stims. I would imagine that you do need to have period at this point. You are probably 2-3 weeks away from egg collection if you haven’t started stimming yet so you need to bleed before that starts, as part of stimming is not only to increase follicle size but also to increase lining thickness to prepare for potential pregnancy. Although since I’m not too sure of your protocol, I’d recommend giving them a call in the morning. Xo

Hi sparkle its normal to bleed on prostrap.i did both times.the agonist diary is your protocol (treatment plan).try relax its good they want you to bleed before your stims.

This is my first time using prostap, with NHS it was spray and with Origin it was via self injection every night. All protocols and treatment plans are different so they are difficult to compare. I’ve had 2 stun injections so far and I already feel my ovaries responding, quite how well they are responding however.....

It is lonley journey and you do feel alone because i dont think people understand if they havent been there themselfs.im lucky enough to konw a few people who has been there so i can chat to them.i did tell my sister as we are very close and i know i can trust her.she got very excited about the idea of getting a neice or nephew.and realy got involved .she even came in with me for my first embyro transfer because my man was away working.so if you have a sis tell her she loves you.

Well said babydream and sparkle, this forum is keeping me sane. So nice to have people who understand, and who you can rant to and who don't judge.
I told my sis and a few close friends when we went on the list, but haven't told anyone since we started treatment. Couldn't handle the pressure!

I’m the same girls my sister knows absolutely everything, but we dnt talk about it to much unless I’m the 1 that brings it up, she definitely keeps me positive!! My bff knows that we went on the list but dsnt know that it is happening now and she has only asked about twice if there was any progress and at the time there wasn’t!! Sometimes I think even hubby hasn’t a clue what’s going on haha

quick update girls on my down reg.

so i had my bloods done friday past and they said my LH was a wee bit too high to start stimming ( it was at 7 they would like it below 2.5)
so they had me back this morning for bloods again they are now at 4.4. so i now have to go back on thursday morning again. nurse is happy enough she said we are going in the right direction and not to worry some people take longer to down reg than others so fingers crossed all is good on thursday and i can start injections soon.

just thought id post this up incase it helps anyone. i didnt know it could take some people longer and i was worrying for no reason.
roll on thursday x

hi CQCQ im feeling ok, def have hot flushes and a bit moody. but nothing i cant handle. im pretty tired too.. bed early every night.
have you had any down reg symptoms?
im back on thursday morning to see if im down regulated enough yet.. ive had bloods done twice already this week but they just arent right yet so fingers crossed for thursday then ill be starting stimms.
i had my period a while back and ive been bleeding on and off since but nurse said its ok its just as my levels are dropping ill be experiencing blood, its not much anyway, not like a period.
still having my reflexology and my therapist recommended some meditation videos that are ok a site circle and bloom. ive only tried the free sample and it has me out like a light on the sofa the other day so im considering buying the ivf one. anyone ever heard of these or used them? they are basically for relaxation x

Yes sparkle i used 225 menopur.they did consider me taken one more dose of it at the end but i had none left and would have to buy one more dose.we went ahead with out the extra dose.i think my amh is 3.5 or 4 cant even rember now but it is quite low to.we wete only expecting to get a coupel of eggs suitable to fertalize but i was lucky and got 9 .8 of them fertalized and all made it to day 5 and transferd 2.the keeped the rest till day 6 for freezing and 3 were froze.all we need is one the right one hopefully.

thats good to hear babydream, my amh is 9.8 and they are starting me on 300 so hopefully it works well. thats amazing you got so many fertilised and able to freeze some, you have to tell me your secret to get those eggs to grow lol xxx

mewsbabes... NO!! lol my bloods were down again from 4.4 to 3.3 they want them below 2.5.
im back again on monday morning, the nurse said its nothing to worry about at all everyone is different and she said she notices women with lower body fat take longer to down regulate. she said its a quite recent thing they are very particular about as patients like me had other troubles late on in treatment because they were not down regulated properly so im just glad they are being so thorough i suppose. she said there are more top up drugs they give women if they need the to help get down so ill just have to see what happens.
easter monday might be my day fingers crossed x
