Clinics will not treat you if you smoke. You will need to be smoke free (and also nicotine free) before you start the treatment.

Hi there, sorry for late reply but I really appreciate you getting back to me. Yes I've been vaping since the new year and unfortunately thought that would be enough but at our first consultation i heard the words "nicotine free" mentioned....... I had no idea, I thought it would be a standard breathalyser. Does anybody know how they go about checking for nicotine.
Since reading the reply I've ordered a 0% nicotine e-liquid for my vape....... I won't lie, this will be a struggle for me at short notice but if that's the rules then I'll need to abide.
Small price to pay and all that.
