Glad to hear all is going well wannabee and sparkle, ladies it really does only take one so I wouldn't get to hung up on the quanity of eggs at egg collection that's my only bit of advice, there's people out there that have one egg collected and get pregnant you just never no! I had 17 eggs ended up with 2 tranfefed on day 3 and none in the freezer and I have my 12 week scan on Monday! I hated the whole " what's meant to be will be" saying through my treatment but it really is the case! I remember crying my eyes out at my tranfer thinking how did I loose all them other eggs and be left with 2 not amazing quality embryos but look at me now! I wish use all the best in the next few weeks and hope to see some BFPs! X

Hi ladies, the egg collection wasn’t painful just a little uncomfortable and nurses and doc were all really nice and put me at ease. From the time they put in the iv into my arm and egg collection was complete I’d say 5 mins in total. So if going to RFC for egg collection don’t worry you won’t feel much

Only got 2 eggs feeling disappointed as on tue I had 6 so was hoping I would have had 12 today (I think they were eggs, doc said 3 in each ovary).

Then today they couldn’t access my left ovary so couldn’t get the eggs from it.

Last summer grove hill noticed one ovary wasn’t easy to see so sent me for a laparoscopy to fix it as it appeared to be stuck to my bowel, but when they went in it was hanging freely and looked healthy.

I’m disappointed with what happened today, but they told me all I need is one. I just wanted a few have put on ice. But at this stage if I get one for transfer I will be ecstatic. I need to ring at 1030 tomorrow to see how my two little eggs got on.

Curls! Don't be worrying around the time of my eggs collection a lady had one egg and ended up pregnant please try to not worry or count yourself out, them 2eggs could be stronger than any of fhe 17 i had we just don't no, I think it's while when people get hung up on how many eggs, I done it myself but in the long run aslong as you get the tranfer what difference does it make x

yes daisy thats so true. i was such a slow starter with my eggs i was totally happy with quality over quantity.. its just all different for everyone isnt it.

good luck for ur 12 week scan on monday.. : D

curls so many times on here you read about that one egg at collection that sticks.. dont worry one but about it, get to transfer and then everyone has the same shot.
even people with a day 2 transfer with a low quality embryo fall pregnant, its just up to our bodies once its in there xxxxx

I had a day 3 tranfer so wannabeee, when I went back for my 7 week scan they even remembered me because I broke down at it saying "just tell me the truth do use think am out" I was convinced this wasn't going to work because all I read on here was about how day 5 was better, I convinced myself that much that it wasn't going to work that I think I took about 15 tests in total and booked an early private scan where I even thought they were gona tell me I wasn't even pregnant lol It was just such a shock to me when it worked but now looking back I realise EVERYONE who has a tranfer has a chance at getting pregnant regardless of what day it's transfered it's up to that embyro and your body weather it works x

That's it hopefulgirl if it makes us better thinking we can do anything extra to help then we will do it, plenty of protein, water and hot water bottle just from 1st day of stims.
I've got the pinapple and Brazil nuts in now for after transfer lol. I was lucky my reflexology lady specialised in fertility. I did acupuncture last week and booked in for after transfer.
I just took pregnacare every day and OH took a multivitamin. I have had 1 glass wine during spray and nothing bar that for months xx

Definitely wannabee anything we think will help we will try. Iv a small water bottle got so I can sit at my desk with it without any1 seeing lol I'm going to book accupunture for before egg collection and after transfer too. Are u to ring tomorrow to see how your wee embies are? Are u taking time of work next week or just seeing how things go? Soo exciting we are at this stage I mind months ago when the cuts were going on and we thought we'd never get to this stage and now it doesn't even feel that long ago.

Hi ladies, bad news one egg didn’t make it and the other fertilised but hasn’t developed as well as it should have so won’t be implanted. I was very upset but after chatting with my mum and hubby it’s for the best as we see what’s wrong with my ovary and next time get a higher number of eggs as I really want some to freeze to give us another chance if the fresh doesn’t take, so unfortunately we’re back in limbo

Wannabee and Sparkle that is fab news about your EC's, im super excited for you both. Curls sorry to hear your news. I'm gutted for you and wish you well for the next time.

Unfortunately not good news on my side. I tested on Thursday which was negative and was also confirmed by bloods at the clinic today. I've had a wee cry but I'll battle on and try again. Im just taking the attitude that unfortunately I haven't gained anythg from the experience but I haven't lost anythg either as I still have my wonderful hubby and supportive family. Wishing all you girls good luck over the next few days. I'll keep watching for your news and hopefully you will hear from me again soon. X

Hi girls. I'm on the spray for 12 days now. I'm normally a 33 day cycle so I'm expecting my period tomorrow and due to start injections on Friday but I just checked my schedule and it says if my period isn't here by today to ring the rfc. I know from doing iui treatment that the spray normally makes my period late anyway. Should I ring them today? And will it affect my schedule?

Hi Carlie, This happened to me. I was to call on a Tuesday if period hadn't arrived but wasn't due to start injections until the Saturday.
They told me to hold out until the Thursday and if it still hadn't come i had to get bloods done.
Went for the bloods and P came that afternoon so they were happy for me to continue with Stims on the Saturday as normal.
So all being well it comes at least a day before your stimming it shouldn't affect your schedule xx

I have my first scan tomorrow morning at 8am! So an early start!

Is it ok to take you spray before the scan? I normally take them at 8am and 8pm but might be a bit out tomorrow out with the time of the scan.

Hope everyone else is getting on ok.

Looking some advice ladies. Just off phone to RFC and the nurse told me NHS treatment is now finished and I will need to go private if I want more treatment. Brief account, they could only find one ovary so this resulted in only collecting 2 eggs of which both didn’t make it so weren’t transferred (on my previous scan I had 6 follicles 3 in each ovary).

I said I thought I would have a 2nd chance due to transfer not taking place she said no that I did get a full cycle. Anyone been in a similar circumstance.

Hi girls

First scan yesterday and all went well so back on Sunday for 2nd scan. Relieved to hear yesterday all was going well.

Have to say i am totally exhausted atm especially yesterday and today. Not sure if its a side effect of the meds or I'm maybe just a bit stressed. Anyone else suffer from tiredness??

Hi curl sorry to hear things didn’t work out. Yes they consider it a full cycle once eggs are collected. That’s the case for RFC and GCRM. You could try to argue that your cycle should have been cancelled due to poor response (this has happened to me on several occasions). You could also ask why they didn’t get to other ovary (this has happened to me at every egg collection (4 in total). It seems to disappear. But were they aggressive enough? When I had my first cycle at origin they had to pierce the next of my womb to access second ovary. This meant that I had to have fet instead of fresh. Next cycle at RFC they couldn’t access as it was too high up. Next two cycles at GCRM, two different doctors and again could only access one ovary. Interestingly my only child was conceived from the FET at origin.

Each time I’m so frustrated because I know the follies are there but because they can’t access them they go to waste. So sorry your treatment ended in this way xx

Thanks my time for the info, I have another app in May, so I can prepare case in good time and write down all my queries and points.

Also i just remembered I asked embryologist on fri when he told me bad news was that my ivf chance over and he said no don’t worry we will get you an appointment ASAP to move forward. He also said he would come along to my review meeting. So I will see how it pans out and if they say that’s me finished I will ask why they didn’t stimulate me further when they already knew there was an issue with ovary. Also during egg collection consultant said he couldn’t find other ovary and I said there was an issue and he said he wasn’t informed as there wasn’t any notes on the system (nurse also checked while egg collecting was taking place and couldn’t see them )so hopefully this will help me sway them.

Thanks everyone for the support on here and lovely to see all the good news stories, any one that hasn’t got good news keep positive 2018 is our year we deserve it

Thanks

I thought it was my belly. I start injections today 225 menopur morning and night today and tomorrow then night time.

My period only came yesterday and will prob be here a few days so Is it not sort of pointless starting the injection. I also also just realised the clinic have not given me enough drugs to do me to scan cate next Friday on this dose so I will have to call them today xx

Unfortunately we are back to square one. We said that we would only do 3 rounds but I feel like I could do one more before we close the door on treatment. I was so strong after the failed treatment & I was helping my husband to get over it but 2 weeks later and it's hit me full on. But I'm focused on the good things in my life and it is helping me. Good luck to all you beautiful people bursting to love to their future baby ❤️

Scan tomorrow

Dusky

My injections are going well. As I have said this is my 6th go so I am well use to them by now. I have my scan tomorrow morning to check sizes etc ... I imagine I will Be the same as last times ... “growing and back for another scan on Monday “ lol it seems to be the same for me every time. I a lucky though I don’t feel any symptoms and sail through the treatment with no side effects.

I’ll update you tomorrow with my results. Xx

Blessed ....... what can I say except for I know how you feel. Each time I get a negative it does not getting easier but harder as I keep thinking when is enough enough ...... I did get a positive on my last treatment which resulted in me delivering my daughter still born at 6 month there in January and that is the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I’ll be honest I would rather see a negative than actually get pregnant and loose another baby. It’s like getting half way for it to be ripped from under you. There is no words to offer you as I know along with every other woman on this site that there is nothing more that you want than to have a baby and you feel like it is never going to happen. My only advice I can give you is to believe that it will. I have had almost 4 years of cycles and my DD born sleeping. I feel like my world is in darkness but I genuinely do believe that I will get my chance. I do think you need to try and stay positive and acknowledge that this is just another set back. Be thankful for all the wonderful things in your life and hold on to the thought that it can happen.

It’s hard to hear all the positive stories on here at times as you really want it to be you ... and in some ways i could even say i get jealous to hear others success stories .... but don’t feel like that .... take good from hearing them as it helps you understand that many woman go through similar and worse situations and good comes to them making it clear that it can happen.
Enjoy your husband and the life you have and trust in god that you will have this opportunity xx big hugs and keep strong xx

Princess, I am so very sorry about your little girl, there are absolutely no words, so cruel and devastating. You are in my prayers and everything is so tightly crossed.

If it wasn’t the middle of the night I would be follie dancing for your scan later :) xx
