Pains
Hey guys
Im 14 weeks with twins and feeling loads of heavy pain and period like backache and abdomen pain. I spoke to my midwife she said it's normal but I'm worrying as discharge has increased also.
It's really painful in there when I just stand for like 5 mins. I'm in bed at the moment with a bad virus, again but even laid down I can feel the soreness.
Has anyone else had this? I've been for a swab re discharge & waiting for results but wondered if anyone else has this too?
Tmi as always I'm sorry!!

Hi tab
Are you still on the pessaries? That could be the cause of the discharge, also the fact your having twins your body will be producing loads more hormones which could also account for it.
Hope you get some answers soon

Hi Sasha
Thanks for replying- I finished the Pessaries 5 weeks ago.
Pain is really staby at times. I'll call the midwife triage again tomorrow and see what they advise.
Maybe the pain is more pronounced because I'm ill too. Just so worrying.

Hi Tab, It could be round ligament pain. The midwife said to me today that's what I've been having and it's really painful. I've been having it in my hip, going in to my groin and really low down in my tummy, and it's had me in agony at times especially at night time, if I wake up I struggle to stand (which is a laugh because I'm up constantly to pee). The midwife said to me today it can be more severe with twins because everything is stretching quicker. xx

Thanks ladies I have tested positive for heavy growth Stephylacocus aurea from a vaginal swab.
Not sure if this would cause tummy pain but I'm waiting to hear from my doctor to decide what next steps are.
The on call doc already said to start antibiotics treatment but it's such a heavy dose 2000mg a day for a week I want to be sure.
