slapped cheek... worried

Evening ladies ... just wanted to air my worries..
Im 9 weeks today... but ive just hsd a call from my sister yo say that my 12 month old nephew has slapped cheek.
Id never heard of it before...but according to the net... it can be dangerous to unborn babies if the mother has never had it.
I am going to contact the clinic tomorrow and get some advice but im feeling quite worried.
i still havent had a booking in appointment from midwifes yet so feelin limbo a bit x
ps sorry for spellings... im on phone x

Oh hon, what a worry for you. However, it is highly likely that you are immune to it, you may have had it but just not realised it, it is quite common. My friends child had it when my friend was pregnant and she was just fine. Chat to clinic tomorrow for reassurance and if there is anything you need to do xxxxxx

Try not to worry, like dusty says you will probably be immune. We have had at least three big out breaks in my school over the last two years, I had the last one when one of my staff was in early pregnancy, she got tested for it and was found never to have it! I also got tested as I was worried about it, surely three out breaks in school I must be immune so already have had it as I had very close day to day contact with many children with it and I've not had it either! I'm not worried about it now even if I did have an outbreak in school!

But do ask the clinic for advice! Hope all is ok ;)
