Please help ladies any info on cervical incompetence

Here it is ladies, today I have had a massive scare had a heavy bleed with clots and been in hospital today! I am 14 weeks and 5 days have had 3 previous losses one at 15 weeks one At 14 weeks and one early one about 4/5 weeks. I am on clexane and aspirin for mthfr heterozygous type but also been checked for cervical incompetence.... At 13 weeks my cervical length was measured as 46mm on a scan now today I have had this big bleed my consultant did an internal and said my cervix is closed and waters are still in tact BUT my cervical length is shorter than he would like he said its about a finger tips length he said to go home stop taking clexane for a week stay on bed rest and hope for the bleeding has settled then to see him exactly a week from today and he will more than likely arrange for cervical stitch to be put in. I have a scan tomorrow to see if baby is still ok.... I'm so scared does anyone have any info on any of this please help! I pray to god my baby is ok for once! X

Hi sweetie, I'm afraid I don't have any information on cervical incompetence, but I just wanted to say how sorry I am that you're having this worry. I'll be keeping everything crossed that the scan tomorrow will show your LO hanging on strong in there, and that the stitch does what it's supposed to do xfingers xfingers

Thinking about you loads xxxx

Hi, I am really sorry to hear about your bleed and your losses. My friend had an incompetent cervix and had a stitch put in trans-abdominally. I believe that it is often done vaginally however. She now has a beautiful 8 month old. She was on bed rest for the whole of her pregnancy, but I think that was more her choice than something she absolutely had to do. Do take care, put those feet up and rest. :xxx3:

Well had good news but also confusing today the scan turned out fine baby is fine everythings where it should be and they said no blood showing there so must have been old blood or hormones causing it or something and they said my cervix looks nice and long on the scan how odd???! X
