Raspberry leaf tea and IVF?
Hey ladies
I just had a quick question, I went to an ante natal class at the weekend and they discussed raspberry leaf tea...in the description provided it said you should not drink it if you have conceived via IVF?
I asked the coordinator why this was and to be honest she gave me a unsure look and said she guessed it was because there was not enough research...but surely there must be more to it than that?

I have no idea and have never heard of it before. I drank it towards the end of both my pregnancies!!
Feb 15 Shock BFP
How odd... I have been drinking one cup a day for the past week or so after it was recommended...but when the NCT woman said not to drink it if you have had IVF i now worry i shouldn't be......
I don't see how IVF pregnancies would be effected by some herbs lol

hiya
the advice they give not to drink it is
if you have had a short first labour
you plan to have a section
you have had a premature baby
you have had bleeding during pregnancy
have a family history of cancer, endometriosis or fibroids
high blood pressure
or expecting twins
if you clear it with your midwife you should be fine.
i no lots of people who have taken it but not sure it helped there labour or helped bring it on, i didn't due to bleeding at 29 weeks and had a 4 hour labour.
good luck
