I'm not pregnant but if I was I would go for it. I was in our doctors surgery a couple of weeks ago and there was a baby with (I'm pretty sure) whooping cough. She was tiny and her parents looked so drained and worried. The cough sounded horrendous and there was nothing they could do but hold her and comfort her.

I know that vaccinations carry a level of risk but I would have it.

3 x MMC, 3 x :BFN:, 1 x failed thaw
Two gorgeous boys.

I'm ringing my Docs today & going to have both flu & whooping jab. Not that I remember but when I was little I had whooping cough & was hospitalized seriously ill, I also was poorly with mumps & became a bit of a sick child for a period afterwards - perhaps the illness weakened my immune?! Vaccines are always a worry but a sick child is a bigger worry! xx

Thanks for this info, I must have missed it on the news last week so didn't know anything about I until now....another one of the many reasons I love FZ!

Had a letter for my flu vaccine today so I've booked that and the Whooping Cough one for this Friday. I'll be almost 34 weeks then but hopefully the twins will stay put a little longer to allow it to work :)

My GP rang me this morning about this. I'm now booked in for both the flu and whooping cough jabs next week, although TBH I am not sure they are going to do much for my LO as it's the day before my due date! Still, having had a quick read up it seems like it's better to have it than not so I'm going to go ahead.
