scan and hcg

had a scan today at epu.

they couldnt find a pregnancy sac as dated 4 wks 6 days pregnant, so the nurse took a blood test to chk levels of hcg.

hcg came back at 493, so she confirmed me as positive and i have to go back saturday for another test.

what i wanted to know is this level of hcg ok for 4 weeks 6 days

BFP May 07 - HB seen @ 8 wks but CRL only 7 weeks, m/c @ 9 wks
BFP Jan 08 -m/c @ 11 wks (D&C)

thejadematthews- Jade your levels look good but you wouldnt know for sure til you get your second blood test asthey cant tell with just one they need another one to compare it with in order to see if they are rising properly. dont panic about the scan it would be way too early to see anthing i didnt see anything til 6 weeks and that was only with a super dooper scanner at the fertility clinic. :goodluck: and let us know how you get on

second test came back at 618. so i dont suppose its looking good, really.

got to have rep bloods done on monday and they'll decide what next then.

shes thinking it could be ectopic or ready to m/c so all in all i think im pretty down

thanks, but a foregone conclusion i feel.

all pg symptoms have gone, not hungry, not peeing excessively, so my best hope is that its another m/c.never had ectopic pg in my life and i dont particularly want to start now.

of course, will update tomorrow after blood test result and what the hosp say, but i think they wil only confirm what i suspect.
