Babymoon!

Anyone thinking about/has actually had one of these? A nice final holiday for you and your partner before the baby arrives?

Me and DF are thinking about it. We're looking at the UK and would like to do it during 2nd Tri (end of maybe) but cant think of any ideas. x

DH and I are going the week after I start maternity leave when I'll be 30 weeks as it's our 5th Wedding Anniversary. We're not going too far from home though, probably a few nights in a hotel in Dorset or something as our last getaway before the babies arrive.

Theres a fab website i know of called 'room for romance' and they have a selection of stunning hotels. I then look on late rooms to see if i can get a cheaper price etc but im thinking about doing that. I just think it would be a nice 'last couples brake' for us before we become a family. Its just thinking of the area we want to go x

Barnsley House, Calcot Manor, Cowley Manor and Cotswold House are all stunning (but pricey). The Mr and Mrs Smith website always has great hotels.

The Cotswolds are amazing - we loved it there. We went in Feb for my birthday just before we started our second IVF cycle. If my husband had agreed, our house would have been on the market the day we returned and I would have moved there tomorrow - loved it!

We have actually just booked a holiday today. We had 2 weeks booked off work starting this coming Monday and saved all out for a real blow out holiday such as Mexico or Bahamas as our consultant pretty much told us the treatment wasn't going to work. But when we got our amazing news we put the lavish holiday on hold and just waited until after the 12 week scan. Since we have told everyone they have all said you must go on a holiday as it will be your last just the 2 of you so we just booked a week in Spain all inclusive just for a relaxing break. We go Thursday so really looking forward to just chilling out.

I had a look at those places online- STUNNING!! I see what you mean about being expensive though!! lol.

A week in spain would be lovely but I think for me, it'll be too hot (were looking at august). We did think spain originally. x

Normally i'm out catching tan all day. This time i'll be tucked under a parasol just relaxing in the shade. Always a first for everything but I'm actually quite looking forward to not trying to compete on the tanning front with my husband (yes he is a slight bit of a tart!) ha ha
