If you're on a low income then children are entitled to 15 hrs child care from 2 yrs old, but higher income then unfortunately they have to be 3 yrs old to get 15hrs and then depending on income again it can go up to 30 hrs, I think I have got that right x

Yay that's great news Sasha!

Cheenab is right. The entitlement begins the term after their 3rd birthday.
Hope things are going well with the big move!

Can't believe J is 2 on Sunday! I still have the occasional urge of wanting to try for another and wonder if I would always have that feeling no matter how many children I have!

Hope you are all well x

Potty training!! Help ;(
I’m getting nowhere, trying stickers pick a wee sweetie etc, if they don’t want to sit on they won’t, they know they r doing the toilet tho and they know where they r supposed to do it, just doing it when they feel like it and no more, o is now getting upset if I ask her to sit on toilet or potty, don’t know if I should give up and try again in few weeks, or stick we have been doing it since Friday so if I give up that’s a waste ?o(

Hope everyone else is ok

Hi Pip,

It's maybe a bit too soon? I know people say that if you try when they aren't ready it's a nightmare and can take months. I think I would leave it a few weeks and then try again. I got a potty for R a couple of weeks ago but haven't really tried properly training him. I just wanted to get him used to seeing it and know what it is for. He will sit on it and do a poo but absolutely refuses to let me take his trousers or nappy off! So all a bit pointless at the minute! I think he's just not ready yet so I'm going to wait until I have some time off at Christmas and concentrate on it then.

Have you moved your girls out of cots and into beds yet? I know a lot of people do it when they are younger but I still have R in the cot as up until now he has been happy in it. Last couple of weeks though he's been waking loads at night and I think it is because he is banging into the bars so think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and get a bed. Dreading him wandering around all night though!

How is everyone else? It's gone very quiet! xx

Oh man the rest of my post vanished
It was the nursery who said a was ready for pants, she is doing it there apparently but I think o is not quite ready, she is back in a nappy today, but feeling a bit left out when a gets a reward.

They have their 2 year old assessment on Friday, do u have that in Ireland?

Maybe when O sees A doing it she will copy her. I just got a new sofa so to be honest I'm in no hurry to start potty training in case R pees on it or worse lol!!

Yeah we get the 2 year assssment. R had his at the end of September. It was all good. I thought they would maybe refer him for speech therapy but she said to wait and see how he gets on in the next couple of months before doing anything. I think he probably will need it though. He's definitely making progress and is trying to talk more but I don't think other people can understand him very well.

Hey ladies

Re potty training - I would leave it then try again. With L, we tried and failed a few times then it just clicked one day with her. We still had some accidents but it a good success. I knew she wasn’t ready when she did a poo in her Wendy house in the garden lol!

I just put E in a bed as we are going on holiday in December and there’s no cot and she’s too big for a travel cot so my hand has been forced a bit. I’d have left her longer if I had my way. Mind you she’s been a super star and adapted really well. I got a foam bed guard and it’s so much better than the old style one I had for L. Even at 1am the other night when she woke up asking for a drink and then told me ‘ I get up’ ( I was like, ‘ it’s 1am, I don’t think so!’) she just settled back down ( phew!).

Hope everyone is well? E turned two last Friday - agh growing up so quickly!!!

A done well today only 2 accidents all day, o was opposite only 1 pee in the potty so I’m leaving her just now but it’s a shame as A is getting all the treats for using it, she has a full sticker chart the lot.
Hopefully A gets it soon and I can drop the rewards a bit, then try O again in a few weeks.

Time is just going so fast isn’t it! The girls are having proper conversations with us now it’s crazy, they r not the best behaved tho, had a friend round today’s who’s kids r like angels in comparison bit embarrassing

That's great that A is doing so well with it. I'm sure O won't be far behind her. Oh I know what you mean about other peoples kids seeming like angels! This is R all the time. He's perfectly well behaved until I take him out with someone who doesn't see him very often and then he turns into a monster lol!

Ladies I'm wondering if any of you can help me? When you were going through treatment in the past did any of you pay for it privately or was it all on the NHS? I'm just asking as I'm starting my fet soon and obviously have to pay for it. I have a health insurance policy through work however and it just occurred to me that maybe they would cover the cost of the initial consultation etc. I know i will still have to pay for the treatment but anything I could get back would be a help. I rang them though and asked and they said that they won't pay for the cost of the consultation with the specialist. Apparently they would only cover the cost of tests to find out the reason for my infertility. Does this sound right to anyone? I'm not having any tests, just the consultation and then hopefully straight into treatment.

Sorry for the long waffling post! Hope it makes sense x

I think almost all private health insurance excludes fertility treatment unfortunately. The only thing they ever helped me out with was post birth surgery to assist with my botched episiotomy lol! ( well not so lol at the time I have to say!!). I had L on my NHS treatment but had to go private for E. X

Pip how are things going? The girls will get there before you know it.

As for behaviour I so agree! L always seems to play up in company. Mind you I was mortified today. L went on her first school trip which was a walk to their local parade of shops where they had to answer questions about the shops etc. Lots of mums and dads went to help including DH. L was with the Mum of a girl she keeps telling me is very naughty and once picked her up and dropped her resulting in a bruised knee. She only went and told the Mum that her little girl was very naughty and mean to her!!! Of course she totally omitted the fact that she asked the girl to pick her up. Oh man that Mum must think L is such a tell tale haha!

Hey ladies hope your all well :)

Please please throw your best disciplining techniques at me........
This pair are driving me insane lately, literally don't listen to a word me or dp say, it's getting really stressful!!
Z is answering back to everything, being rude, telling us he hates us, just generally not being nice, and of course F is copying everything he does, except F doesn't understand as well as Z so he just laughs in my face when I tell him off.
I try to be stern and not shout, I shout and sound like a crazy person, I try and ignore it, but nope nothing is working....
How do mum's get their children to be good? All though far from the worst behaved I know, I still feel I have no control over them lately, and want to get it back on track before we have a third one following them :(

Any magical advice gratefully received :)

Hi ladies, hope you are all well?

I can also sympathise with the bad behaviour. R is very difficult at the minute. Constantly throwing tantrums when he doesn't get his own way. He's also still really clingy round me and won't let his dad lift him etc which makes it very difficult. I'm also having trouble getting away from him to go to work in the mornings as he holds on to me and cries. Very stressful and hoping it's just a phase! We're also having some sort of sleep regression. He has been a great sleeper for ages but lately I can't get him to sleep until late and then he's waking during the night screaming and crying for ages. I'm beginning to wonder if it could be night terrors?

Finally had my consultation for my fet on Wednesday so it's all happening! Dh wasn't able to come to the appointment with me so he has to call at the clinic next week to sign the papers and then we've to make another appointment to get treatment schedule etc. Starting to get nervous about it!

Hey all

Pip that’s great that potty training going so well. It’s sad isn’t it when they aren’t babies anymore but think of all the fun stuff to come! Also what you can treat yourself too with the money saved on nappies lol.

Ashastar that’s great that treatment is now being planned etc. Keeping it all crossed for you!

Cheenab how are things going? Sorry to hear about the behaviour. L has defo changed since going to school. Do you think something is happening there? I try my hardest to ignore as much as I can but it’s so hard when they are being naughty. E constantly punches l and makes her cry and I just cannot seem to stop that. Being a mum is hard!!

Not much going on here really. L had a sickness bug last week so was off school and E has a horrid cold and cough which she cannot seem to shake. Doing last planning forDH’s 40th birthday in December. We’re going away for a few days, should be nice! X

Hi ladies, how are you all?

Pip that's brilliant about the potty training. They have caught on to it really quick! R hasn't a notion about it! I know what you mean about them not being babies any more. Every day I can see R getting more grown up and I just wish I could slow time down a bit. I am going to an open day next week for the pre school I want him to go to. Hard to believe I am at this stage already!

Net, R has had that lingering cold and cough too. As soon as November arrives it just seems to be germ season! Hope E is over it now.

DH and I have decided to wait until next month before starting the fet. I think it means I will be starting the meds around Christmas. I just really want to enjoy Christmas with R this year without worrying about whether it has worked or not or being a hormonal mess! Hoping that having transfer in the new year will be a good start to the year lol.

How is everyone else? Heather, how are you managing living with your parents? Cheenab, how are your boys?

I can believe Christmas is in 5 weeks! What is Santa bringing to everyone's houses this year? xx

Hi everyone...
How quickly is Xmas approaching?!
I just don't no where the time is going.
Any spare time I have been adding the finishing touches to our extension. The 2 new bedrooms are finished and B & I were separated and have their own rooms now...after the initial excitement there were tears but they seem to have settled ok. On Monday we have a bed being delivered for J and he will go in to the other new room. I'm hopeful that he might like sleeping in there as it's still hit and miss and he spends a lot of time in with us.
His behaviour is awful at the moment, pushing biting and pinching. I'm finding it exhausting but keep reminding myself it's a phase .

Ashastar that sounds like a good plan for FET

Hope everyone else is well x

Hi ladies how are u all?
I’m not at all ready for xmas I need to pick it up a bit

I’m feeling really stressed a good job opportunity has come up in my work it’s a good career move for me, but would mean going full time, although my earnings would go up I would be paying for nursery so in the short term not much gain, but long term better prospects? It also involves a bit of traveling just don’t know if I’m ready to be away from the girls as much and how it would impact them, but in a work sense I don’t want to let opportunities pass me by
What would u do???

Hi ladies,

Apologies for going AWOL but has been a bit crazy hectic recently.

Pip I'd personally go for it. Can be hard working full time with guilt at times but I think I'm setting my kids a good example esp the girls that women can work hard and do well too. Staying at home isn't for me but I really admire Jose that do but I need other stimulation!!

Ashatar how's the xmas planning going. I understand the reason for enjoying Christmas without the crazies that tx brings.

Jasper hope the new bed arrived and has been a hit.

Wardie hope you're keeping well and life's being kind.

How's everyone else?

I'm slowly going a bit crazy tbh. Living with my parents is really hard work. My mum is not coping with my dads worsening dementia so he's stressed and she's really stressed and then put my 5 kids and me in their house and it's no fun for me at all. It's like having to look after another 2 children, whilst working full time and being a single parent at the mo whole organising our move to England. I don't usually feel stress but I'm tired out. Kids are all ill with H and P having awful coughs and on antibiotics and puffers. They are in my bedroom and keep waking each other up so lat couple of weeks I'm getting about 3 hours interrupted sleep a night.

Feel like if I stop going I'll never get back up so just trying to keep motoring on.

P is such a little character and so happy even when sick. She has started to crawl properly and has pulled herself up to standing a few times. She loves her food but is less keen on her bottles. But I'm not worrying she gets a good range of foods and is definitely putting on weight.

H had an initial speech therapy assessment and he has been referred to child development centre re query over autism or some developmental problems but it'll be months before he'll be seen in NI so as soon as we move on 28 Dec need to get him registered with GP and get ball moving there. His behaviour is hit and miss and in some ways he's going backwards but he's making a few more sounds so that's good. No words yet but some small progress. He is learning some Malay on which helps his frustration. He's such a boisterous boy but so loving too.

Had a fantastic time in Florida with the twins but whilst we were there one of them started to stutter. She was really bad. She's a real worry wort and is anxious about moving to a new school and misses her daddy so much. Was really distressing to hear her but she mostly stopped now but she really consciously has to stop when she's about to stutter and what she wants to say and then it's ok. Hopefully her full fluency will return when we are back together as a family.

It's been so mad but I put in for a promotion process in my new police force so I have my interview this Monday. Never one to stop but a full nights sleep would really help!!

Got kids into a great new school and our house sale completes this Tuesday so my hubby has job of unpacking before we get there, lol !!

Think that's it. Sorry for the ramble but just wanted to record what's been going on at the mo.

Love to you all xx

Hey all

How are we all?

Pip - it’s a hard one as I know how much I love being part time. However if it’s a really good opportunity I think like heather says you should go for it. You could always negotiate down to 4 days after you’ve proved yourself in the role or maybe try and work from home sometimes if that’s possible ( I’m not sure what you do for work sorry!) maybe write down the pros and cons and have a think. Let us know how you get in. How are the girls?

Cheenab are your three excited for Xmas ? Well maybe not T lol as too little but bet Z and F are!

Heather. Wow. Now that’s busy! You must be very stressed but hopefully can see that the end is in sight. I admire you so much for even considering a promotion through all of that!! Good luck for your interview. I bet you cannot wait until you are back as a family and have settled into your new home. When do the girls all start their new school? January? I hope that H gets the help he needs once you are settled. P sounds like she is getting on brilliantly!

Ashastar how is tx going? Have you started dr yet or are you waiting until after Xmas?

Jasper how are you doing? I saw on Facebook you got two nights away without the kids. Soooo jealous!! Hope you had fun. X

Sasha are you still reading? Wardie? If so I hope you are both well x

I’m just back from a weekend away for DH’s 40th. Had a fantastic time. We had a cabin in the forest with a hot tub. All the family cane. I drank far too much booze but had a great time and the girls had a blast. Back to reality now and off in a conference for work tomorrow until friday. Only one more week of work then three weeks off!
L had her nativity today. Was so good. It’s a big school so they had 120 kids up there - they all did brilliantly. Proud mummy!
E is coming on great guns. She does not stop talking! But her behaviour is also getting more challenging. She’s pinching and biting her sister and also having so many tantrums. Hard to deal with sometimes. L was never like that!!!

Anyway do hope everyone is well. Xx

Hi ladies, is anyone still around?

Pip, what did you do about the job? I was in a similar position a few months ago when a management job came up in my work which would have been a great opportunity for me. I actually applied for it but ended up withdrawing my application before the interview as I realised I had only applied mainly because they expected me to and not because I actually wanted it. It would have meant going back to full time and spending a lot more time in the office and I'm just not ready to be away from my wee man so much just yet. I probably sound totally unambitious but the way I see it is that I spent a very long time concentrating on my career during my long journey to have a baby and it's now time for me to take a step back a bit. Appreciate its maybe different for you with having 2 already and not planning any more treatment etc. Either way I'm sure you have made the right decision.

Sasha, very exciting new year ahead for you! Keep us posted on how it all goes.

Heather, wow you have a lot going on!! I hope things have settled down a bit and the move goes smoothly.

Net, cheenab, jasper hope you are all well? Busy, busy at the minute in sure preparing for Santa!

Well I had my pre treatment consultation for fet on Tuesday and collected all the meds. I was expecting that I would be starting to dr on Sunday which will be day 21 so I was a bit gutted when they said I would have to wait until the next month as they are too busy to schedule me for transfer until the beginning of March!! So much for private treatment being Quicker! I suppose it means that I can properly enjoy Christmas and have a wee glass or 2 of wine and it gives me a few extra weeks to get healthy but I was still disappointed and DH was a bit annoyed.

Anyway wishing you all a wonderful Christmas with your lovely families xx

Hi ladies how r u all?
Ashstar, I applied and found out today I didn’t get it, I’m a wee bit relieved as I wasn’t 100% about being away from the girls yet, but in a work sense I’m really annoyed as they have given the job to some1 a lot less qualified than me so I feel it must be because I’m a Mum, and they think I will end up being unreliable I know they could never say that but there is a big difference between us experience wise.
The girls are great and looking forward to xmas so not dwell on it

Ashstar that is a bit rubbish about the delay to treatment but just try and enjoy xmas and it will be here in no time

Jasper big birthday I’m sure it will be fab

Just a quick one sort ladies am so tired! Wishing you all a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.

Pip sorry you didn’t get the job. Is it worth asking them to explain why. They can’t discriminate because you have kids. Bet the girls are super excited for Christmas?

Ashastar sorry to hear the tx is going to be delayed. X

Jasper - I spent all evening wrapping! I watched The Holiday whilst I did it. Super cheesy but very festive. Will be fun to plan the big 40!

Heather hope things are settling down a bit for you? Hello Sasha, cheenab and anyone else reading!!

We have all the family here for Christmas. Am stressing about it but am sure will be fine. Wishing you all a great Christmas. Xxx

How's everyone's Christmas been?!

We have had a lovely Christmas, but stressful dealing with other crap!!
I don't know what's happened to my little baba, he literally cries/whinges non stop, he doesn't want to sit on your lap, then he doesn't want to sit on the floor, Or the walker, or the jumperoo!! He's just cut a tooth so I'm hoping that's the problem, He's had bronchilitis the past couple of weeks so that is still lingering, i have a poorly dog that literally just poos everywhere constantly, trip to the vets in order for her!!
We bought a car just over 2 weeks ago, and has been in the garage twice and needs £1200 worth of repairs on it, So we are now in arguments with the garage we got it from that we want a refund!!!!!
So stressful.

But the boys had a good Xmas that's all that matters :)
I've started a new job doing nights, had to leave my old job as the were making it unbearable for me to work there :(

Sorry for the long whingey post I didn't intend it to go that way, life is just a tad stress ful at the moment ;)

Hope everyone is well, and happy New year xxxx

Ah cheenab you poor thing. So sorry about the car. I hope the garage do the right thing and refund you. Take them to small claims if they don’t. It only costs £60 I think - might be wrong but pretty sure it doesn’t cost much to do it. Hope your doggy is ok too.

Poor T. E had bronciolitis too - it’s horrid isn’t it. I’m sure it’ll be a mix of that, teeth and general growing spurt etc. Did Z and F enjoy Christmas?

Where are you working now? Nights must be hard with three kids. Superwoman!

Hope everyone had a good Christmas? Ours was fantastic but so tiring! I was having afternoon naps in the end lol. My nephews were here and it was so much fun, the 4 cousins get on so well. Drank so much booze and have eaten so much. Need to get on a healthy eating regime now and get running again. After the bubbles tonight of course haha. And the big pub lunch I am going on today. Oh dear!

Have a happy new year everyone. Speak in 2018!! Xxx

Happy New year everyone!

Oh Cheenab what a nightmare! So were there lots of things wrong with your car as I know on FB I told you about the depollution thingy...I think we have same car! How do you manage working night's, when to my sleep??? I'm still keen to get a job but need sleep too!!!
I need to get He's name down for pre school as this time next year he will get funding and they all seem to have waiting lists.
We had a fab Xmas....all 3 have been challenging with this behaviour most of the time but that's standard for most people I guess!!!

It's my 40th in 2 weeks time so I'm just party planning! I've always said I'll have a party planning! I'm excited but anxious at the same time! What if its boring?! I know more about how to host kids parties these days!!

Net I've totally overindulged too but I've been running over the Xmas break as if instilled I'd never get back in to it! I've had an injury so only been managing short runs but just trying to do what I can!
Hope everyone else is well and wishing you all the best for 2018!

Oh god where to start jasper!!
Took it to Citroen as it wasn't drivable to where we got it from they diagnosed it it needed a new heating block.. £400 later!! Then 2 days later it comes on again back to Citroen it's now a timing fault and going to cost between £600 and £800 the garage we got it from are being complete aholes and a Google search on reviews shows it isn't the first time they have sold cars faulty. I'm fuming, dp is a mechanic so can technically fix it himself he just never has time to do anything nowadays, and that just let's the garage get away with it!! Kevin is just far to easy going about it all which is also doing my head in, look at small claims and would cost just over £100 but dp still moaning is it worth it. Ggrrrr so annoying!!!

Awww I bet your party is amazing, they always look so fun from your pics!!!
Maybe a job as a party planner ;)
I only do 2 nights then some cover but those 2 nights pay more than the 5 shifts I was doing at the other place so can't argue at the moment I do Fri and Sun so dp sorts the boys while I sleep sat and my parents take Z school on the Monday then watch the little ones till about 1 while I have a sleep it's working out quite well at the moment, some of the people there are so bitchy though which I really don't like. But I just keep myself to myself really and let them carry on with it!!
I've put F down to start at a pre school this month I think it will really do him good as he's always around older kids I feel bad I haven't made more effort to make him little friends!! The place he is starting at seems really good though and he was sitting with one of the keyworkers playing cars so that really put me at ease :)

Anyways hope everyone is doing well xxx

Wow what a nightmare! I had my last car for 13 years and it's stories like this that means I'll probably have this one for as long!!!!

Well done on the hours you do....I'd be hanging! Shame it's bitchy. Where/what is it?

Last day if the school hols for us. It's been hard work as we haven't got out so much due to the weather . But I can relax a little tomorrow!

Reception work for Travelodge, nice easy job really.

Advice needed, I think you may be able to help jasper as no you've been through it with J.

Teddy was sleeping great up until about 4/5 weeks ago, he won't sleep in his bed now will only sleep in ours, dp has been demoted to the sofa, I'm just so worried about him suffocating in bed because he won't keep to one side with pillows road him no he likes to wiggle across the bed so he can snuggle up to me, it's becoming a nightmare and we are to tired so just leave him to it for an easy life, he's still in our room which I don't think is helping but our little room is currently the junk room and needs a massive clear out which we never have time to do.
Any advice would be really great even if it is just advice on how to let him sleep with me safely, freaks the life out of me him suffocating xx

Cheenab I ended up having to move P into her own room recently as she was waking up so much and only settling when she was in bed with me, which I hate for the obvious reason of squishing her but also I have worked really hard to not have any of the kids in bed with us so didn't want to fall at our last! When I put her into her own cot, moved up a size in her grobag and put her in her own room she is back to being great sleeper (touch wood!) You must be tired out with the night shifts even if you are getting support at home. Hope you have got the car problem sorted out.

I like the sound of your party planning Jasper. It is my 40th this year (can't believe I am actually writing that!!) and would love to go to Vegas with my hubby again but not sure we will manage with the finances / child care cover! Personally I can't face the thought of planning a party besides since I don't know one person outside of work since we have moved to Yorkshire it would be a v small party, lol !!

Net how are you? Any less pressured with work?

Ashatar I hope you made the most of the slightly delayed tx and had a few drinks over the Christmas period and relaxed and enjoyed the festive season.

Hope everyone else is good.

I can't believe that I am actually writing this but my beautiful little baby turned 1 yesterday!! Where has the time gone? Well it has been a totally manic and hectic few months but there is something so sad that our little baby is no longer really a little baby. She is such a little character but she is the happiest child ever. She just smiles constantly or eats all the time! She is crawling around and making a few moves to pull herself up but no signs of walking just yet but she'll get there.

So we had Christmas at home and then made the big move on 28 Dec so just been getting the kids sorted and trying to find my feet and get doctors / kids gymnastics etc sorted. 3 big girls started school on Tuesday and it has been a big hit which is a massive relief because one of the twinnies really didn't want to move as she was going to miss her friends too much but she has made loads of friends and is happy. K has got a classroom assistant permanently to help with her dyslexia which is fantastic too. She will get the specialist help she needs too in due course but I am content she'll get what she needs in a bit of time.

I started into my new job and it's going grand just need to get used to new terminology and acronyms but I'm not sure what to make of my boss yet. I was meant to be going to a different role and had my childcare arrangements in place as DH and I are both working shifts but I got a call last Weds night asking me to move to a different role. I didn't mind as I prefer the role but there is a weekend when both DH and I are down to work an early turn and I have said to my boss but he says it is my problem to sort but I don't think it is my problem as I had my childcare sorted and then I have done them a favour by moving roles at short notice so he can sort it out!

I have been to the GP and she has made the referrals that H needs for his speech therapy and assessment with community paediatric team re possible autism or some other development issue. He still has no words at all although he has slightly more sounds. He is being referred for special needs language therapy and I just know that there is something else wrong with him. It's not too bad whatever it is but hopefully he can get through the assessment period soon and start to get whatever support he needs. Waiting lists aren't as long as back home so hopefully it'll happen soonish! His behaviour is hard work at the minute and from being easy to get to go to sleep at night he has turned awful. It is taking at least 2 hours to get him settled now and he keeps going and waking up his sisters. It's funny I really can cope with most things but him being so hard to settle at night is really stressing me out. I always knew no matter how busy I was during the day that come 9pm all the kids were in bed and everything sorted for school the next day etc and I had a couple of hours to relax but now with him not going down I'm not getting stopped until 10 / 10.30 and it is really bothering me. I have tried all the usual techniques I have used over the years with the rest of the kids but nothing seems to land with him. I just don't know what is the best way to manage it because I don't know if he understands the concept of me ignoring him when he is being bold or if he really gets what I mean. I ended up shouting at him last night because I was so frustrated and I hate myself for doing that with him. I know that he understands most of what I say to him so if I tell him to go and do something he will do it but I don't think he grasps the idea of being naughty so naughty step etc doesn't seem to make any difference with him !!!!

Sorry wasn't meaning to come on and moan here but that's what I have ended up doing!! Anyways hope you all have a great weekend and have fun with your LO's x

Hi ladies, just a quick one as I'm on my phone and I usually lose the whole message when I type too much on it!

Heather, glad the move went well and the kids are settling in. Hope you get the work issues sorted.

Jasper, hope the birthday party was a success. Many happy returns!

Cheenab, hope the new job is going well? I don't know how you do those night shifts! I've no real advice on the sleeping issue although I found putting R in his own room when he was that age really helped.

Net, pip, how are things with you? Sasha, are you still around? Have you got your new arrival yet?

I start my spray for fet on Saturday! Eeek! ET is planned for end of February. I can't believe it's finally happening!

Jasper happy belated birthday! Looks like you had a great party
Cheenab how is the sleeping going? Has T improved?

Hello everyone. So busy just now with work and E has been ill - she’s literally been on a diet of calpol and strawberries as it’s all she will eat. Think she just has a viral coldy thing but she has been hard work!! L good and enjoying school. Will be on to give proper update soon. Xx

Hi everyone, hope you are all well. I miss all the chats on here!

Pip has the sleeping improved? I still have R in a cot but definitely going to change him into a bed once I have this get out of the way. He doesn't make any fuss about the cot and has never tried to climb out so I've just let him stay in it!

Net hope E is feeling better. There's a lot of illness around at the minute.

Ladies I don't have a good feeling about this fet. It's been a bit of a disaster from the start. A couple of weeks before I was due to start my uncle died and I have been devastated. My whole family have taken it really hard and it just hasn't been a good time. Then a couple of days before starting the spray I got the flu which has since turned into a really bad chest infection. I've been off work for 2 weeks with it so far and have never felt so ill. I've been taking my spray but to be honest it seems like it hasn't even really sunk in that I am cycling and I feel a bit like I'm just going through the motions. I'm also on antibiotics and steroids which I don't even know if they are OK to take during treatment! My plans for healthy eating and exercise have also gone out the window as I've pretty much just been lying in bed and barely eating! ET isn't planned until 28th Feb so I suppose I have some time to turn things around but all in all I just don't feel good about it. To top it all off I had planned on getting a sick line for a week after ET but as I have been off for so long with this chest infection I don't think I will have the nerve to go off sick again so soon! Aargh!

Sorry for the depressing post! Hope everyone else is having a better time! Xx

Ahh poor you Ashatar some nfs like you've had a few awful weeks. So sorry to hear about your uncle. The only thing I would say after coming on to this site for so many years now you just can never tell with cycling how it's going to turn out and some ladies who've had awful cycles get fab news and vice versa so don't give up hope yet. I do think cycling when you got a LO is different anyways x

Net good to hear from you and hope life settles down slightly soon.

Pip any improvement in the early morning waking? I've had to cut H nap slightly too so I can get him to go to sleep at night xx

Oh ashastar I’m so sorry to hear aabout your uncle and your illness too. Could you just stop the sniff and start again next month? Not sure if that’s possible - I can’t remember. However as heather says I really think you just can’t tell and some people on here as she says have had awful cycles with a bfp at the end of it all. I really hope you start feeling better very soon xx

Aw pip - I sympathise. My eldest is always up by 6.30 no matter how late she has gone to bed. E has started sleeping in till 8 if I let her some days!! If only L would do the same lol. The girls might change - E used to be up at between 5.30 and 6.30 until about 4 months ago.

Thanks for the words of encouragement ladies. I think I need to just pull myself together and get on with it. I'm still feeling a bit rubbish but hoping to get back to work later in the week. I've a feeling that it's partly the spray making me feel a bit yuck so hopefully when I start on the tablets things will improve.

Pip I had to stop R napping during the day completely to get him to bed at a reasonable time. Even half an hour nap is enough to have him up until after 9pm!

I have to say I insisted on injecting for DR as I hated the spray so much. It agrivated my asthma.
Hope you feel better soon x

Thanks net. I wish I had asked for injections too but it never occurred to me. I have asthma too so maybe the spray is contributing to my nasty cough. I never thought of that. Ah well, it will be so worth it if it all works! Please everyone keep your fingers crossed for me! xx
