Advice please....can't stop being sick :(

Am after any advice and tips to help with sickness. Im 10 weeks pregnant. Have been suffereing with nausea from week 6 but the last few weeks i have been vomitting alot and since Monday, all day everyday. My doctor is keeping an eye on me and says im not dehydrated at the moment, but today i cant even keep down sips of water. I have been given a prescription for anti sikness meds but have been told theres no research to show its 100% safe to take in pregnancy so i am very reluctant to take it. So, anyone else had sickness this bad? Any advice would be very welcome! Thanks. x

Yes.

I was sick solidly till about week 14. I was on some tablets which were amazing and let me actually eat because I could even brush my teeth or drink water.

The tablets did wipe me out though and I was signed off work till week 14.

I totally know how you feel and it's horrible.

What tablets have you been prescribed?

Hiya,

I don't know that drug, I was on prochlorperazine. It totally knocked me out but I could actually eat.

Best thing to do would be to speak to a pharmacist. They know everything about drugs. Just explain that your doc has prescribed it for morning sickness as you've got it really bad and you just want to know if its safe to take in pregnancy. Pharmacists know everything about drugs I've found!

Its horrible isn't it. I didnt want to take anything but in the end i went to hospital with sickness. I had an injection on my bottom. Ask the pharmacist advice x

No problem chick.

I know that the drug I was on really did make a difference to how I felt and enabled me to actually eat and drink. Hopefully the pharmacist will be able to help.

I ended up being admitted and ive been diagnosed with hyperemisis. I spent a few days on a drip and anti sickness meds and im feeling abit better. I had a scan and baby is fine. Just praying this passes soon and baby stays healthy. Thanks both for your advice. xx
