First trimester symptoms

Hi everyone :hi:

I got my

on 30th July.....my body is now really letting me know I am pregnant :headache

just started feeling bit queezie but not too bad but my problem is headaches :box:

feels like someone is boxing my head :pullhair:

can anyone advise if there is anything we can take? My DH got me some cool strips that go on your forehead which felt nice but didn't get rid of pain! Everyday for four days I have had this! Is it normal? [zx037]

I have been suffering with the same, especially in the sunshine but I have no doubt it's hormonal as a lot of ladies seem to get them! I have got some 4Head - only thing that seems to relieve it! I have had a headache for about 5 days straight now and am really don't want to keep taking paracetamol so have been using this. It's amazing and whenever you feel it coming back, you just put some more on! BRILLIANT!

Yes that's the one - I think it's in a pink box. I'm not sure that it would get rid of a headache entirely but it does keep it away enough that you can concentrate on something other than the banging!!!!

Morning

The headaches are normal hun. Loads of PG ladies get them but you dont always hear about them do you? They are hormone related i think. I had really bad headaches and used the 4head stuff too which was brilliant but it is safe to take 2 paracetamol if you really cant shift it. Sometimes you just need to take the drugs and go for a lie down and at least that might get rid of the pain. I found that if it was a stonker and had gone on for a couple days, 1 paracetamol just wasn't enough, sometimes you need 2 to kill the headache and hopefully you can have at least one headache-free day. On the brightside, they do go away. happydance

Thank you rallygirl.....yes my headache just lingers day in day out and by the evening it really is a banging headache! :headache

Hi kitten love, I used to suffer from migraines and they say pregnancy can make headaches worse from your normal ones. My midwives advised to keep up with your fluids as you could e dehydrated which causes your headaches. She also recommended to only take 1 paracetamol in the first trimester but it was safe to take two in the 2nd trimester - this is because a lot of development happens in the first tri.

Good luck - i think u just have to experiment ad find what suits u best xx

Hi

I had the same thing sunday to wed. Not too bad in the day and then horrendous in the evening. Think the heat had a lot to do with it as well.

The only real thing you can do is lots of water and lots of rest.

had a lady doc that obviously wasn't too happy about people having IVF :angry:

left feeling quite deflated !

Yeah, what a horrid GP - I replied in your other thread yesterday. Boo to her :blowrasp:

Apologies for stating the obvious too but make sure you drink plenty of water, it might help with your headaches a bit. Hope they improve soon.

Hi Kittenlove - I suffered really bad with headaches I had one that lasted all week, I took 2 paracetamol each day as this was the only thing that kept it at bay but never got rid of it I made an appointment with GP and he said I was probably not taken enough to get rid of it in the first place so thats why it wasnt going and to take up to 8 in 24 hours if needed but not more than this, he said you will probably find that it then goes after a day or so. I must say he was right and that same day after vistiing him I took 2 paracetamol every 4 -6 hours the follwoing day I was fine and was for several weeks later, if I get one now I take them for as long as I need them whch is usually just the day, if unsure talk to your GP or midwife xxx
