I'm bleeding

Hi everyone,

About two hours ago i went to the toilet and there was bright red blood on the tissue paper. The bleeding seems to have stopped now but as you can imagine i'm checking every 10 minutes.

I've went to the doctor and they've booked me in to the hosp tomorrow morning at 10.30am. As i'm over 14 weeks now they wont do a scan straight away. They'll listen for the heartbeat first and if they cant detect a really strong one they will do a scan. If i'd been just under 14 weeks they would have automatically done a scan at the epu, but as long as theres a strong heartbeat i really dont care.

I'm so upset and cant stop crying. I'd just started my shift at work too and have had to come home. DP is working til 11pm tonight and i cant get in touch with him til at least 7pm.

i'm just so upset and worried. Just want everything to be ok

Oh Michelle. Are you able to ring a relative or friend just to talk to someone? I wish I could say rest and try not to worry but I totally know how you are feeling. I'll PM you my mobile no if you want to chat.

I'm pleased about that. The last thing you need is to be on your own. Its then you worry more. Having your mum there will help you and I'm sure she'll happily get you tea etc. Don't worry - keep mobile in case you ever need it okay?

SamD - there wasnt a lot of blood. Just a little bit on the tissue each time i wiped. i went to the bathroom about 6 times in two hours and it was there each time. It stopped after that and hasnt happened again. keep going to check and i'm not in any pain either. I'm just really scared cos it was bright red blood

mum24premmie - thanks for sharing your story. its a bit more reassuring to find out other people have had this - and yours alot worse than this - and they have gone on to have beautiful healthy babies.

I'm off to have a shower and then get in to bed and try and get some sleep now. I'll let you all know how i get on tomorrow

I think at your stage that there would be more sweetie if its any reassurance, it probably is nothing but better safe than sorry, I was one of the ones that bled all the way through and you can't help but panic, stay strong I'm sure bubba is hanging in tight for you

How did it go?

I had a bleed that went on for 5 weeks (from 13 weeks) and I am still pretty damn pregnant and the baby seems happy as larry.

Bought myself a doppler so that I could check the heartbeat on my own. Not recomended by my con as it can give double heartbeats and sometimes it can be hard to find. I found it every time and it is super reassuring!

Lots of love...
