Girls I really need your help and opinion. I'm still in hospital after 4 days. Altogether they have induced me 4 times, put me on inducing drip, membrane sweep twice and rupture of remaining membranes this morning. I felt two pops when they did that but no water actually came out. When they examine me they say they can still feel membranes intact! I am now faced with a big decision to make over Night. Either abandon induction and go home tomorrow and start this process again in 2 weeks or have a C section tomorrow morning. I have worries about both of them. If I have a section, maybe baby is just not ready to come into world at moment as it appears to be telling me. If I go home, am I in risk of Infection if waters have gone! I just want to cry because I want to do the right thing..... Please help...

Oh my dear lass what a dilemma! Not an easy decision at all. I personally don't like the sound of an infection (I had that when my M/C didn't come away by itself and I was really ill!). That said I have never had a c-section and it is a major thing, especially if you had your heart set on a natural delivery. What are you thinking now, your heart or head coming out on top with any suggestions? How's your DP feel?
Sorry I'm not much help I just wanted you to know that we're thinking of you, Cxx

I really don't know what to to say. This is obviously not an easy decision to make. I have a friend who had the same problem she went a head and had the c section she was left a week with no waters as her midwife was as trainee and didn't exam in her properly. Her little girl is now 1 year old and absolutely fine.

Oh lordy kittenlove- i dunno what to tell you either its a huge decision but you know in your gut what you want to do its just doing it. What does your partner say about it all? i only know my own personal feelings as i am impatient and i would have the c section in this situation but thats just me and because i know i recuperate after operations pretty quickly but like all here i know a natural birth is what we all wish for. We are thinking of you babes whatever your decision

Oh Kittenlove you poor thing. 37 weeks is considered full term so your LO wouldn't be 'premature' if you had a C section, I'm with Cleo on this I think I would go for the c section, but again that is my opinion only and you need to do what feels right to you. I am so sorry you are going through all this stress and worry. Thinking of you xxx

Oh Kittenlove so sorry you are going through this, sending you big hugs :hugs: I don't think anybody can give you advice as it's such a personal decision. I know I would prob opt for C Section as I think I'd continue to worry about infection etc if sent home. I guess there is no right or wrong answer & hopefully you will be well advised/looked after by the professionals xXx

Hi ladies

Kittenlove, have been thinking of you. Hope everything is OK. :hugs:

Hi everyone else, thought i'd pop in and say hello and see how you all are. Has anyone heard from Amyeliz? I think from her diary that her LO has arrived but don't know the details (so impatient!).

AFM I am really starting to struggle now with lower back ache and my contiuning carpal tunnel. Definitely looking forward to meeting my LO in the very near future! How is everyone else feeling? I don't think I am made of very strong stuff as there's no way I would have been able to continue working (in fact at about 34 weeks I was done!). Hope you ladies who are still working aren't too tired. Have midwife tomorrow then a private scan on Saturday just to check all is well. LO is pretty active - her back is on my right hand side and I can often feel down her whole back when she decides to have a little stretch - so exciting!

Anyway, hope you are all well. :xxx3:

Hello Ladies,

Oh it's so lovely to read we're all very much on our way to starting a new life with our little miracles. I can't wait to meet my boy, I'm getting so impatient :hmm: My boy is so active every day I'm convinced he's gonna make an early appearance lurve

Thinking of you kittenlove :hugs:

Net sorry to hear you're still having issues with your wrists. I know all about CT as both my mum & sister suffered with it bad & ended up having an operation - not related to pregnancy I may add. I've had problems with my wrists myself & have a 'special' keyboard & wrist support which makes a massive difference. I can also join in with the back pain as I've suffered with sciatica for weeks now & I'm constantly hobbling about humph It's makes me feel grumpy & hot baths, back presses & massages from DH don't really make a difference. I guess at this stage in your pregnancy you can only takes things easy & relax with your feet up

Sorry for lack of personals but I'm at work & i'm busy busy busy.... Love to you all blowkiss

AFM - aside from constant backache & sleepless nights, my last blood results show I have anaemia & I started taking iron tablets yesterday. It may explain why I'm constantly knackered which I put down to long days at work. Once the Iron tablets kick in I may be able to stay awake after 8pm thumbup

Can't wait to finish work in 5 weeks which feels like a life time away right now :mood:

:xxx3:

Hello lovely ladies and bumps

Kittenlove, still thinking of you!

Emmajayne - any movements?!

Mrs A - my goodness those are some long hours. Do you mind me asking what you did for work? Sorry you arer being sick, I've also read sickness can come back in the 3rd tri. How are you feeling now?

Sazlou, I have just purchased a bump support band for £12 from Mothercare and I cannot tell you the relief it has given me from back ache. It hasn't gone 100% but at least 90% better instantly. Best £12 I have spent! Wish I could fix the carpal tunnel so quickly. Hope the iron tablets kick in soon. Get lots of spinach and kale down you too! Glad your LO is nice and active.

Hi everyone else.

AFM saw MW today and LO all good. Best news was that I now get the option of birthing centre or the labour ward - yay - originally I was told i had to use the labour ward but turns out I don't so going on a tour next Thursday and will make my mind up then. Met my NCT class today, we have dropped from 8 to 4 though as 2 are currently in labour, 1 has given birth and the other was ill.Making it feel rather more real!! Really looking forward to my scan on Saturday as long as I can get there with all this snow. Ironically I made DH sell his 20 year old 4X4 because it's not safe and we need something more modern and of course sod's law the next day we are forecast thick snow

Right, off to finish making dinner, a change from last night when i couldn't even get off the soifa. Sorry for any typos, so hard to type using little fimngers (try it!)

Big congratulations kittenlove and Amelia :balloons:. Lovely names too. Hope you are all keeping well and enjoying your new family.

:goodluck: today Emmajayne. Can I ask why the c-section this time? Let us know how you get on, will be thinking of you.

How is everyone else today?

AFM - saw midwife yesterday and she thinks LO is head down so that is a relief but that I am measuring big, but that is no surprise to anyone who can see me! That said she didn't refer me for a scan, so hopefully not that big! I had bloody awful indigestion/heartburn yesterday, couldn't eat and thought I might be sick, just an acid taste in my mouth all day. I ave gaviscon, does any of you know if I can get anything stronger from the doctor?

Woohoo!! Congratulations to the new arrivals in the group....hope yourselves and your lil bundles of joy are resting well.........i would personally name you but as i go to write this my baby brain has forgotten your names already lol, do not be offended please whoops3
Cant wait til i get given the date for my c-section.....im 34 weeks on 21st but been told i should be given a date for 38 weeks. I have complete placenta praevia and these constant bleeds (like a weeks worth of period bleed in half hour - soz for tmi) is really getting me down. It's happened 5 times since 23 weeks and i just want to be calm and enjoy the rest of this pregnancy, instead of checking each time i go to the loo and do away with wearing maxi sized pads everyday. Soz if i sound like a bore, just had to vent. But genuinely very happy and excited for all new mummies here xxxxxx

This last trimester is passing so quickly eeek!!
Hope all those still with bumps are doing well & managing to work around the slippery paths. Everywhere I step it's like an ice-rink where I live, really caution as I don't want to fall & hurt baby. Went for a walk in the country with DH today & we both got really excited seeing all the mums n dads sledging with the kids - that will be all of us in a couple of yrs :snowangel: :xxx3:

Good luck tomorrow watermelon. Hope everything goes smoothly :goodluck:

Hope everyone is doing well. And those who now have their little miracles are enjoying being mum's.

Net how's the Carole tunnel going. I have had a ruff time with my hands and arms lately. Woke up last night and was in sooooo much pain I couldn't even pick up a pillow. Think I am gonna have to mention it to the mw on Thursday.

Sazlou how's you getting on. Have you done any washing yet ?. Sounds like you and dh had a nice walk. How long till mat leave.

Waylou so sorry to here about your bleeds. Fingers crossed you get to enjoy your last few weeks of pregnancy.

Afm- off for a few days now with dh which is nice. Going to pick up pram on Wednesday. Has anyone kept theirs at home or have you all got someone else keeping them till baby is born.
Have mw on Thursday so am gonna mention my hands and arms. They are so sore all night then by the end of the day they are really tight and I have pins and needles. The last mw said it was water retention. But they are never swollen .

Hi Lucyloo, I'm afraid that sounds like carpal tunnel to me. It's due tro fluid pushing on the median nerve in the wrist, mainly affects middle finger, first finger and thumb plus palm of hand. Mine sometimes hurts up to my elbow especially at night. Wrist splints are helpful, I got some from Amazon just google wrist splints for carpal tunnel, definitely helps, but i'm afraid to say there's nothing else you can do. I tried acupuncture but it was agony and didn't make any difference. I've got used to having permanently numb hands and fingers, it's not nice and i send lots of sympathy. :hugs: I find shaking my hands lots when the pain and pins and needles are bad helps.

Oh and my pram has been at my mums since we got it.

KIttenlove, how is little Millie doing? And how are you feeling?

Sazlou, your walk sounds lovely. I have cabin fever as quite a bit of snow here and DH won't let me go out walking - haha.

Waylou, really sorry to heasr about your continued bleeding. Hope you get your date soon.

Watermelon - good luck!

Emmajayne, hope you and LO are well.

Hi Cleo, Mrs A and anyone else I have forgotten.

AFM had 36 week scan yesterday and all well, growing well and pretty much bang on average for all measurements. Head not engaged yet so need to get active. LO has had a quiet day today so of course worrying about that but I know now that she does this and yesterday she didn't stop.

Hello ladies,

Quick question [zx128] has anybody noticed any bruising around the bellybutton? I've had bruises for a week or so now & I wondering if I need to pay the Docs a visit??
Had my whooping jab Friday & I still have a dead arm. Managed to squeeze in a pregnancy massage yesterday which was a little slice of heaven smile2

Lucyloo & Net - god damn carpal tunnel, like we don't have enough going on without painful hands/wrists. I feel for you both [zx127]

Lucyloo all baby clothes/bedding washed & ironed & ready to go :P Don't start maternity leave until 22nd Feb, what about you? I'm with Net & left my pram at my dad's until baby arrives.

Love to you all blowkiss

Sorry Kittenlove I have never posted a picture myself! I assume they have to be a certain size, maybe try and resize it smaller? Bit of a faff though! Hope you're getting some sleep and aren't too sore. xxx
