morning ladies, can't believe I am in the third trimester at last!

Seems like the second tri dragged on for ever, I suspect the third may be shorter and far more rapid - time does seem to be speeding up now! I'm hoping for a slightly more relaxed couple of months now after the stresses of the past few - my mother sadly passed away 3 weeks ago after a short spell in hospital, I just got back home yesterday after helping my sister with the massive task of sorting out the house ready to go on the market. This weekend, the slightly cheerier task of decorating the babies room - off to Homebase in a minute to get yet more tester pots!

kazzy - :congrats: on the safe arrival!

I've been getting some period type pains over the past week or so, usually just a couple of times a day, lasts for half an hour or so then fades away. It is really mild, just a slight low down ache. Any one else get these? I wasn't sure what Braxton Hicks are supposed to feel like, but I got the impression they were a more definite tightening feeling - this is just a mild ache, so a bit confused!

love the bump Amber :) I still haven't taken any shots of mine, really must do that. We've been doing the cliched "pregnant woman up step-ladder painting nursery" thing today - its looking good, just need to do a second coat on the walls tomorrow then we can get the new curtains up, put the cot together and move the rest of the baby stuff in. Still need to choose stencils/stickers or something to liven up the plain walls though. We went with green and purple in the end - sounds hideous I know but the shades we chose work really well together, honest!! Its based on the Lollipop Lane Prickles and Twoo collection, which we've bought a couple of items from.

Hope everyone has a good Easter weekend - those who are allowed, enjoy the :easter5:

Caraz just a quick reassurance post, I to experienced period like pains during the 3rd trimester.. It really felt like I was gonna come on.. Exactly the same feeling as a period.. Very strange. But do not worry its just your body getting ready for those contractions on the big day!

Hi Ladies,

It's taken me a few weeks to get around to moving across here but I'm 30 weeks today!!

I still can't believe we're going to have another baby and a girl too - it seems unreal. I've had such a sweet tooth during this pregnancy but not put any real weight on to speak of - less than half a stone since I found out I was pregnant. I did lose a lot at the beginning but the midwives say she's measuring fine and not to worry? I too have had period type pains recently - all part of pregnancy I think.

We started on the nursery yesterday - clearing the room and today DH is preparing the walls etc for paint. Next weekend he'll paint and assemble the furniture - very exciting!! It's DS's first birthday on Tuesday and we are having a party on Monday for him so spending the rest of weekend getting ready for that (hence why we won't finish the nursery this weekend).

Amber - love the bump photo :)

Caraz - sounds like you are making good progress too. I remember once my DS's room was finished, I kept going in to have a look :)

Congratulations Kazzy.

Well hope everyone has nice things planned for Easter weekend.

Nikki x

Hi ladies,

Welcome Nikki, Caraz and Amber :)
Lovely bump pic Amber, i posted one in my diary yesterday.. feel massive lately ;) All worth it though :D

We had an in depth scan on thursday to measure baby's bones all is fine, but because im short they are measuring at the lower end of normal!!!
So had to sit there for ages while the docs were basically blaming me because of my height!!!
As long as he is happy and healthy thats all that matters to us, so what if hes a bit short ay ;)

Have a lovely easter weekend ladies xxx

Hello ladies (especially the new faces from the 2nd tri)

Mim you are getting so close now.. how are you feeling?

Amber you have a lovely bump

Caraz and Nikki you'll have to take some pics of your nurseries once you have completed them

Cheenab your little boy will be gorgeous no matter how tall or short he is.

AFM I've been helping my parents clear out stuff from their house over the past couple of days and feel worn out. I can't believe how much of our stuff my Mum has kept and safly most of it (school work etc) went straight into the recycling bin. I did find a few forgotten treasures though and now just need to find space at home for them!

morning ladies

I hope you all had a lovely weekend, and didn't get rained on too much!

mim - not long to wait now, but I know what you mean about still not really believing there is a baby in there!
Curlytails - I hope you didn't get too bogged down looking through all the old stuff at your parents - it took me so long to go through all mine, and it was so strange throwing away so much old (but useless) stuff! A level notes, and toys I hadn't even seen in 20 years etc ! We now have a few boxes of stuff downstairs that we need to find space for somewhere.
cheenab - love the bump and scan photos :) Great names too, love Zachary especially - we haven't managed to narrow our list down that far yet!
nikki - hope DSs birthday party went well yesterday :)

AFM, baby's room almost finished, all the painting done, but we are waiting for the wall stickers to arrive, then the instructions say to wait 3 weeks before applying them to new painted walls, which seems a really long time! Plus we need to decide on pictures for the walls, as they are a bit plain at the moment and the stickers will only cover part of it, over the cot. Love the colours though - I'm not usually that brave with strong colours, the rest of the house is fairly neutral! The curtains are too long - I need to shorten them a bit as they are dragging on the floor at the moment - DH liked that look, until I pointed out that they'll just be gathering dog hairs, cat hairs, dust etc! At least the new sofa bed is upstairs and out of the dining room now!

Feeling really tired today - went to a country show yesterday, was on my feet for about 3 or 4 hours wandering round, and was soooo tired by the end, with a really achy back, I could barely move by the time we got home! I have to dig out that yoga DVD, try and at least pretend I am maintaining some level of fitness!

Not long now mim :) what date is your c section booked for?
Glad to hear baby's room is nearly finished caraz, we got one of them wall quote stickers and it said to wait a week after decorating, but we left it a couple of weeks just to be sure, and it went on fine :)

Hope everyone else is doing well?

Not much going on with me, just plodding along ;) cant wait for him to arrive!!!
Had a massive cleaning session today, been putting it off for a while but decided I had better get on with it ;)
Was absolutely shattered afterwards and curled up on the sofa and watched a DVD :D

Amber - great bump & only days to go?? xx

What do you mean days to go??? Please, don't scare me!! If all goes well I still have 6-7 weeks.

Our nursery is taking it's final shape. We built the cot finally, but have screw sticking out where it snapped when we trying to ut some different screws to hold it. It also have more holes than originally designed! The changer has arrived as well, and now is built, just need to find the changing mat. What confused me s that on the box it said recommended size for the mat is 80cm x 45cm, but the place to put it is 70cm x 45cm! I think I will get a smaller one, as I don't really want it overhanging. Still got no curtains. And I can't find the nursery curtains to it our window - it s huge, 220cm wide. I was thinking to make my own from some material that I have got already, bu it is not a childish be, the original intent was for the living room curtains when we bought the material!

My house is still a mess, but I am getting a cleaner! I think I know which one I would like to go with, but have another one coming for a visit today. This one is cheaper, but already expressed preference for cash in hand, which I am not happy about. She said she does her own taxes, but the cash in hand part is not giving me confidence that she is doingball by the book. Maybe it is just sceptical me. Anyway, if all well, i could have someone starting tomorrow (too soon, need to get around the house and tidy the stuff under the beds, the junk, etc,so cleaner can actually clean the place), but would go for start date next week. You can't imagine how muc. Am looking forward to this - more than Christmas!

It was pretty exhausting as we had to try and do bits when DS had gone to bed each evening. It's pretty much done now though. I did have to cancel my order for the cot today though as I ordered it from Tesco an the mattress was half price when you bought a cot, but they don't have anymore matresses. I would have had to get one elsewhere and overall it wouldn't have been such a good deal.

When I had DS the third tri went very quickly! I wonder if it will this time too. I look forward to chatting to you all over the next few weeks. xx

Welcome to the 3rd tri Jasper  lets hope it goes quickly for you.

I don't feel like time is going quickly for me although I've hit 34 weeks today so hopefully the next 6 will go fast.

Amber I'd love a cleaner, even if it only encouraged me to do a bit more :snigger:

Cheenab and Caraz I hope you are both feeling more rested

Hi Jasper!

Curlytails, I know what you mean. I always thought of it as luxury, but now it feels like necessity, I am 31 weeks and I can just bend enough to reach the floor, int cupboards, etc, and it is painful. The guy I talked with yesterday said that opposite to believable that it is service for rich people, most of his customers are either pregnant or just had a baby...

welcome Jasper, good to see you over here :)

Amber - very jealous of you getting a cleaner - we used to have one when we both worked long hours, but have managed without since I went part-time 3 years ago. It was so nice to walk back into the house at the end of a long day and find it all clean and shiny, I miss that!! You will need all the help you can get when the twins arrive - not sure we could justify it with only the one on the way.

cheenab - we've just done a massive clean too, stuff I've been putting off for months, so the place looks great now - won't last though! With 2 dogs and 3 cats, the place gets covered in fur far too quickly - I must remember to get short-coated, non-moulting beasties next time!

I'll post some photos of the baby's room when it is totally finished. The wall stickers arrived today and look fantastic, but I can't put them up for another couple of weeks (have to leave the paint to thoroughly dry), so will do some shots then. I got these in the end from Amazon.

Been sorting through the boxes of stuff I brought back from my mum's today - the plan is to do a car boot sale over the next Bank Holiday, if the weather looks good, so trying to get it all sorted. Its a bit emotional going through all the stuff again, but it needs to be done, else we'll have the boxes and bags sitting in the dining room until next year! I have an enormous pile of cuddly toys to get rid of - I collected a lot as a child, so hopefully they will go to good homes. DH suggested we keep them for the baby's room, but to be honest I'd rather not - they take up the entire cot at the moment!

Caraz I'm sure it's been difficult clearing your mums house but hopefully you've found lots of happy memories on the way :hugs:. We're thinking of having a carboot that weekend too although I'll be 38 weeks and I'm not keen on the idea of having to pack the car in a hurry and rush to the hospital if things started happening :snigger:

I had the MW today and she was supposed to talk through birthing options. She didn't and when I asked her she said we'd discuss them at antenatal classes. Sometimes I really do wonder about her!

Hope you've all had a good Thursday... nearly the weekend woohoo

Morning everyone!!!

Amber- Lucky you getting a cleaner, worth every penny though I am sure! I would love one but can't justify the cost and I would feel the need to clean first!!!

Caraz - Those room stickers are beautiful!!!! They would look great in my LO's room but it is so small there is hardly any visible wall space. I have made some lovely pictures to go on the walls though.

CT- When are your antenatal classes? I remember doing mine very late last time but atleast it meant I didn't have so much time to ponder over things anyway. I always new I wanted things as natural as possible but just wanted to be aware of the options. I plan to go to a BF session again aswell just to remind myself what I need to do!!!

DS got up VERY early this morning so has just been back to bed for 1.5 hours and we have been very productive clearing out the garage! I have made room on a shelf for all of the nappies and wipes that I have got. I have been buying them when they are on offer and have quite a stock pile alreday! I am just sitting down with a cuppa now while DH and DS take the first load of junk to the tip!

Have a good day everyone!!! x

Hi Jasper, my antenatal classes start on Monday. There are 3 Monday sessions and a Saturday but I'm not sure whether I'm going to go to the Saturday one as it is a live demonstration of bathing a baby and early childcare. I've got 6 nieces and nephews so am quite practised in baby bathing!

When does everyone else go to theirs?

You are lucky getting so many!!! In my area, you get one which is a labour workshop, nothing about how to look after the baby and one about breastfeeding. Its one of the reasons that I did NCT last time as I felt completely clueless about it all!!!! It's amaxing how much it varies you would think it would be the same everywhere. Last time I did go on a 6 week post natal course ran by the Healthvisitors which if any of you get the oppertunity I would really recommend. It was one afternoon a week and I really looked forward to it. I met quite a few other mums and have stayed in touch with some of them. Some of the stuff we talked about was very basic, but it was nice to get out and chat to other mums with babies at a similar stage.

hi ladies, hope you are all having a good weekend

We start our NCT classes next week - we've got two all-day weekend sessions, and two evening sessions - feels a bit like we are going back to school! We are both clueless about babies though so need all the help we can get!!

Has anyone else been waking up in the morning and having a temporary panic for half a second, convinced that the bump has gone down and the baby disappeared? Its happened to me several mornings lately - quite funny really, but odd at the same time!!

Birth plans - I have given some thought, but so far can't even decide where I want to give birth!! I need to have a chat with the midwife (seeing her again at 34 weeks). We have lots of choice:
Home birth (possible, but worried I am too old, will scream the house down and frighten the neighbours & dogs, have to be transfered etc);
MLU in nearby small town (25 min drive from home, appealing as it only has 3 rooms, all with birthing pools which I really like the sound of, and will be nice and quiet. Has really good rep locally);
MLU at the local hospital (can't guarantee a place though as much busier, only 1 of the 3 rooms has a pool);
Main delivery suite at the hospital (big, busy, probably noisy, doesn't appeal tbh).

The first two have a 20 minute transfer time to the hospital should it be required, which worries me slightly. Home birth appeals because it would be a more relaxed experience I think, and we wouldn't have to get anyone to babysit the dogs! Really fancy a waterbirth though - and not sure we could stretch to hiring a pool, and we only have a small bath! The stand-alone MLU is probably top of the list at the moment, the main problem being what we do with two dogs if we are in there for a day or so - we can't book walkers or sitters in advance, and if it is the weekend, the walkers aren't available anyway, so dependent on the neighbours being around, and they are away a lot at weekends in the summer.

Sorry to waffle on, but I really need to get my head around the options and make a decision sometime soon!

I am having a similar dilema Caraz but not with dogs but with my DS!!!! All of my friends either have young children or work or both so I can't really call upon theM and my parents live nearly 2 hours away. I think I am going to have to call them to help out. In an ideal world I would drop DS at nursery at 7.30 and be home to pick him up at 3.30!!!! How long are you able to leave your dogs for??? If you have straight forward birth you may not be away from home long anyway. I was only away from home for just under 12 hours when I had DS. That may be too long for your dogs but as a one off would they be OK???

As for the options about where to have the baby, I wouldn't worry about the transfer time to a hospital. Many people do not need to go to the hospital and the MW will not take any chances and if you need to go there you will be sent or taken in plenty of time. I gave birth to DS at the MLU at the local hospital and was lucky enough to get the room with the birthing pool, it was great for pain releif but I choose to get out of the pool just as I started pushing, not the easiest thing to do but I just didn't fancy giving birth in the pool. I am hoping things happen exactly the same this time but you just never know!!!

I'm hoping for the MLU at my hospital. There are 6 rooms and 5 of them have pools (although I don't fancy a water birth). The only problem may be my iron levels as they were borderline last time and I've been told that if they are still that low then the MLU won't take me. I've got another blood test at my 36 wk MW appt so hopefully it will be better news then.

I'm worried about the dog too. Originally she was going to stay with my parents for a while from the week before baby is due. Trouble is my mum is due in hospital that week and they won't be able to have her. My sister is also away that week so she may just have to cross her legs

I'm planning on packing my hospital bag this week. I can't quite believe I've got this far!

Caraz I sometimes think my bump has disapeared too! It is never as big when I'm lying on my back (not that we're supposed to). I bet we'll miss them once the babies are here!

Hi ladies hope you have all had a lovely weekend :)

I too have been worrying a bit about the dogs lately, my sister will come sit with them in the day but if I go into labour at night they will be left on there own!!! So I really hope it happens in the day ;) I won't be able to relax if I don't no there ok and not on there own!! There like my babies, never been left on there own for more than a few hours ;) will be sending dp home every few hours to check on them!!! Imagine telling baby when he's older why daddy missed him being born 'because he was letting the dogs out for a wee' rotf

Anyone else been feeling a bit anxious lately? I'm sure it's perfectly normal at this late stage, but I just keep worrying that something is going to go wrong!! ;( Guess the worrying never stops ay!!!

Hope everyone has a lovely week xx

I think the anxiety is normal. I also think we are more aware of what can go wrong because we have read of sadness here on the forum. You have to remember that the majoriy of births are straightforward and the majority of babies are born fine. I know it is hard and I am just as bad, but your LO is nearly here and it won't be long before the worrying moves onto something else.. like his eating and sleeping patterns.

Some anxiety is totally normal, like CT says. I don't think we'd be human if we didn't have some concerns about everything that is going to happen over the next few weeks/months! I'm not overly worried at the moment, more focused on the practicalities of what has to be done, rather than worrying about "what if..." scenarios.

My dreams have been getting very obvious though - several nights now I've dreamt about places I have lived in the past, especially my university days, and in the dreams I have literally been trying to find my way back to the campus, find my old friends - not too difficult to interpret that kind of thing :) The three years at uni were by far the most relaxed and stress-free of my life, nothing to worry about except the occasional essay or lecture! My subconscious is clearly trying to get back to that idyllic state!! (beer3)

DH is finally doing his bit of preparation - so far I'm the one who has spent ages researching buggies and cots, and hanging out on ebay grabbing the bargains (which has all been good fun tbh!). He has the job of finding a baby monitor though - and sure enough he has gone for the all singing, all dancing, video over wi-fi, infra-red camera etc etc!! He is really excited that we will be able to see the baby downstairs on the laptop when she is in her cot asleep :-) Will be useful I suppose. At least he refrained from getting one with a motion sensor mat - one of our friends strongly advised against those as they just make you even more paranoid and stressed!

I think I have decided on the MLU in the neighbouring town, assuming I stay low-risk. I like the idea of having everything ready for us there, no preparation to do at home - and someone else gets to clean up :) That just leaves sorting out the dogs really - we may have to take them with us in the car. We have a dog gate in the back so can leave the boot open if it is a warm day (we used to do a lot of dog shows, so they are used to spending all day in the back of the car, and we have the kit to make it comfortable and safe for them). Hopefully it'll happen mid-week when the dog walkers are available though, which will be easier.

When are you supposed to pack the hospital bag? I know I'm nearly 31 weeks now, but it still feels like the actual birth is a long way off!!

Went to see my MW earlier and have been booked in for a stretch and sweep on the 30th (due date) but I'm seeing the con this Friday so she said he may want to do things differently!! But we'll see :D
I'm sooooo eager to meet our little boy, every morning wake up thinking is today the day ;)
Knowing my luck I'll go 10 days over due and have to be induced!!! ;)
Hopefully it won't come to that xfingers

Thats a good idea about leaving the dogs in the car if you need to.

I think CT is right about the worrying, we will spend the rest of our lives worrying about something or other!!!

I have been getting really restless legs, its driving me crazy! I just can't sit still ad find it hard to settle in bed. I hope its just a phase and passes soon!!!!

The restless legs are SO annoying - I don't get them all the time, but usually in the evening when watching tv, or in bed trying to sleep - neither is good! It seems to be triggered by food sometimes, but I haven't figured out specifically which foods. Its been really bad this evening, hope it eases off before I go to bed!

Just back from my 31 week GP appointment, and my blood pressure has gone up a bit (130/80, I'm usually 120/70), my haemoglobin levels are 10.8, my urine sample was cloudy and showing traces of protein (+3), so now of course I am worrying!! I've got some iron tablets to take, and they are sending the urine sample off for testing to see if I might have an infection. GP said it is normal for BP to start to rise at this stage, and didn't seem overly concerned. No swelling so far anyway, but of course my mind goes straight to pre-eclampsia ohthedrama

I suppose I've had such an easy ride so far (physically anyway), I'm now worried that it is all going to start going wrong! I have been feeling really flaky and lighheaded lately, any exertion makes me really short of breath, and I can't cope with warm or stuffy conditions at all - I've had to abandon DH in a couple of shops already to go and get some fresh air ouside!

I'll just keep taking the pills and drinking lots of water - and probably spend more time than can possibly be required just lying down and taking it easy :)

Hope everyone else is ok and not being a drama queen like me :loony:

Caraz- The restless leg thing is weird isn't it. I am fine all day..its just when I am trying to relax in the evening! Like CT said if your GP isn't worrying then try not to worry yourself either. We all need to take it easy over these next few weeks! : D

I haven't started packing my bag yet, but I having putting bits in to a drawer in the nursery. Today I bought some very cheap knickers from Tesco they are horrible but I prefer this option than the paper disposable ones. I got 5 pairs for 2.50 so probably the same price at the disposbales anyway. If you do unpack your bag CT make sure you repack it straight away....a friend of mine unpacked hers and left it all out on the bed and went in to labour that night! Her labour progressed very quickly so it was a mad panic to get it all in the bag ready to go!!! I have been showing DH what I have bought and where it all is just so he knows if something happened and I had to go in earlier than expected!

I let DS have a long nap this afternoon so that I could too! I managed to get 1.5 hours which was lovely, but I am sure we will pay the price late when he isn't tired at bed time!!!

Hope you are all feeling well. x

Hi all. 32 weeks today, have a scan and consultant appointment tomorrow. Fingers crossed all is going to be well.

My cleaner(s) have been here yesterday, and the house looks so much better! There were 4 of them to start with, and as a special offer, they were doing the spring clean for the same cost as normal clean if you get the regular cleaning booked. So, for £36 they spent here about 10 manhours. I have tidied up the place before hand for them, so they don't need to walk around the stuff, and the kitchen counters were as empty as they ever going to be, but I haven't cleaned anything. Just put the things away and sorted the junk. Yes, there are still bits of dust, and an odd cobweb, but it looks so much better, I can't believe. It just makes me more relaxed and happy, if that makes sense. Also got OH to join me for a tripto the skip on Monday night, so we loaded his car (the big one) when he got from work and the garage already looks better, with some more space! There is at least another trip, or maybe two including the shed, but slowly we are moving ahead. I would love to put some shelves up there that don't look like they are going to break any minute if you put anything more on them (like the current ones), but as we may be moving within next 6 months, I am not going to press for that. It will be enough if we get the cloakroom and another room downstairs sorted.

And this morning and got myself another treat and had my oven cleaned - the difference is amazing.

So, I am spending the money, but at least I am getting some rest as well instead of crouching on the floor trying to clean the oven.

I still have a few vouchers to use up to get the nappies, so might do this before the end of the month. Also, I am getting free pack of Sainsbury's nappies every time I spend £50 (Sainsbury's offer - not sure if it is for all, got an email saying that 'we have been selected'). I got my first voucher this week, and it is supposed to go until June, so if we do our weekly shop there, we might get quite a few more packs of nappies! And I have loads already!

I have been looking at some stickers as well, and have to say, I prefer the ones that look 'a bit more grownup'.... Like these:
Decowall,Graphic Wall Stickers,DGS-08813,Whisper of Birds_Black,Home Art Decoration-wall stickers/wall decals/wall transfers/wall tattoos/wall sticker: Amazon.co.uk: Kitchen & Home
Decowall,DK-0043, Kittens on the Branch & Poem Wall Stickers, Home Art Decoration-wall stickers/wall decals/wall transfers/wall tattoos/wall sticker: Amazon.co.uk: Kitchen & Home
Decowall,Sweet Kiss,DGS-08817Black,Wall stickers/wall decals/Wall paper Home Art Deco Mural Point wall Sticker: Amazon.co.uk: Kitchen & Home
Decowall,Wall stickers/wall decals DP-08091 Tree & Swing, Wall paper Home Art Deco Mural Point wall Sticker: Amazon.co.uk: Kitchen & Home
3 Black Kittens Wall Stickers for children and nursery rooms

Ok, I think it is enough from me for this time...

I have been on iron tablets for about 3 months now, and my iron levels are no higher (at last appointment). Will see if they do another test tomorrow... It was 9.7 when I started taking it, dropped to 9, so increased to 3 tablets and it was back at 9.7 last time.

I know it is different with twins, but my hospital bag has been packed for about 3 weeks now. There are a few more things to put in, but in case something happened, there are basics to see me through.

Amber it sounds like there is some serious nesting going on at your house!!! Great that you are paying someone else to do it for you!!! Thats a good deal you got from Sainsbury's, it's definitely worth stocking up.

I have an extra MW check tomorrow as I was measuring 30 weeks when I was 28!!! I think the baby was just lead with its bum sticking out, so I am sure I will be back on track tomorrow!

I have quite a few friends who are pg at the moment and I have to say I am getting sick of them moaning!!! It seems they are never happy, I know we all have bad days bit there are 3 of them that seem to moan daily. Contstant FB updates about how ill they feel or tired, I could go on!!! I really want to update my status with something along the lines of 'Am I the only one that feels truely blessed everyday to be pregnant and will NEVER moan about how I feel!!!' It would annoy me even more if I wasn't pg too! They are all expecting their second so they knew what to expect!!! Anyway, that's my rant over!!!!

Have a nice evening everyone!x

Jasper I'm so pleased I'm not the only one who feels like that! I have a friend who is expecting her first any day and all she has done since announcing it (on FB very early) is moan. She moaned at Christmas that she couldn't drink, she moaned when it was hot, she moans about her bump, moans about the movements.... a month ago she posted that someone in her 'expecting in April' group had lost their baby and I really thought that would be enough of a wakeup call for her to think about how lucky she is but no she still moans. I've only mentioned my baby once on there because I remember all the times I would beat myself up reading other peoples pregnancy posts and you never know who of your friends is silently battling infertility.

Sorry rant over!

I'm sure the way the baby is lying plays a huge part in the measurement because I was under size last time but I could feel myself that baby was lying low.

Amber that is serious nesting!

evening ladies,

amber - I love the kitten wall stickers, I was tempted with those ones myself, but decided on the woodland/owls/squirrels in the end. The cleaners sound great, so jealous! Good luck for the scan tomorrow.
jasper - good luck with scan tomorrow to you too. I'm measuring 32 weeks, so 1 week ahead - no extra scan mentioned though, I think usuallly if you are within a couple of weeks it is not a problem?

I suppose I'd better start doing a bag - I need to find a list (there's one on here somewhere I think) and see what I need to get for it. I'm not really worried over today's results, I was just a bit surprised that both iron, protein and BP were all suddenly starting to look slightly iffy!

I think I've mentioned weird dreams before - had another last night, someone telling me what we have to name our daughter. She was a relative (in the dream, not in RL), and was insisting that we have to name her after my dad's aunt Effy (who doesn't exist). Effy was short for Iphigenia, a name I would swear I had never heard previously. When I woke up, out of curiosity, I looked it up on google - I genuinely thought it was something my sleep-deprived brain had made up, but it turns out to be a character from Greek mythology!! So bump is now named Iphiginia, for a few days at least :)

I am releived that someone feels the same as me!!! I thought maybe I was being OTT! April Fools day was the worst, I saw a number of updates from people pretending to be pregnant and I really didn't see the funny side as I am sure you can all understand!!! But I guess unless you have never been through the pain you don't think about it.

I haven't got a scan tomorrow just another measurement with the tape measure, which you do wonder how accurate it can be!!! I tried to do it myselfbut obvioulsy had no idea what I was doing!!! :snigger:

I wouldn't call this nesting, just catching up with the housework that was ignored nice I got the bfp.

As I am expecting twins, they cannot estimate the sizes of the babies by measuring the bump, so they have to scan. Also, for finding out what position babies are in. I would like to find out the tape measurement, just to see how my bump compares to the singleton bump.
