Congratulations Hope! That's lovely news!

Bic: It might be time to bounce on that gymball! I reckon if bub's not ready to meet you and is just so snug in there then you can't force it along, he'll appear when he's ready.
Rachael: that's good news for you, although I'm secretly hoping twin 1 turns around so that the decision is taken away from me, as I'm getting progressively more worried about labour.
EJL: my answer to the ironing is just to avoid it!!!
Yes I am mad for replying but they've been very clear that I've not committed to anything, they'll check with the hospital and keep in touch and see how things go if I get to feb and am still pregnant. I probably won't get to do it even if I really want to. I reckon that having film crew there might help distract me from the drama! I've never seen OBEM, it used to make me feel sad, and since being pg I've been too chicken to watch it!

Well tomorrow is my antenatal class on childbirth so hopefully I'll come away from that feeling a little less worried!

Fuzzybee, Yet got a gym ball...love it, cud not live without it!! It's so comfy if nothing else!! Am bouncing, bouncing, bouncing on it, I even put on the music channels to bounce as it gives me sum rythm (sorry bout my spelling) lol!! Don't be worried bout labour (says me who hasn't been thru it either yet) lol but just go with the flow, thats my plan, he gotta come out sumway!! lol Over here (in NI) they nearly always do sections for twins @ 38weeks, don't know it thats a good or bad thing!!

I will be watching OBEM tonight, I love it, tho I cry even more now than when I was ttc!! If thats poss!! :bye:

My hospital encourage natural birth if twin 1 is head down, and he is so I really should try, EEK! I feel confident with delivering him, because they're both going to be smaller than the average baby. It's twin 2 that I'm worried about, that she'll find all that space in there and wriggle about and come out feet first, youch! not so keen on that!

Bic maybe you should just get a space hopper that way you can bounce and be mobile at the same time? :snigger:

Ok so I have question about sleeping arrangements. The midwives all say that it's recommended that babies sleep in the same room as you for 6months but I was thinking more like 4-6weeks. What are you folks planning on doing?

I've been too scared to watch OBEM! Maybe I'll give it a go tonight!

Lol fuzzybee, a space hopper might be a good idea!! I'm defo going to keep baby in my room for at LEAST 4-6 months! Cot death scares the life outta me, so I just wanna do everything by the book to reduce the risks, my health visitor was telling me that in my dr's practice last year there were 3 cot deaths! x

Congratulations Hope on the safe arrival of little Harrison. Enjoy every second!!!

Fuzzy Bee... I'm with you on the 6 week mark..... I personally think 6 months is excessive but I do understand where you're coming from Bic. I've bought one of those Angelcare baby movement monitors I didn't even know you could buy anything like that until my friend bought one and it's saved her baby girls life so I've invested!!!!

I'm also putting baby in the cot straight away too rather than a moses basket!! I spoke to a client of mine whos an ex midwife and she says do what ever you feel comfotable with cos mum does know best. And like she said years gone my babies used to be put in drawers!! x

Well as we haven't bought cots yet, they might end up in drawers!!!
Ok that's reassuring. We haven't decided on monitors yet so will take that tip EJL.
The advice on sleeping is certainly conflicting! On the one hand the WHO say six months, when I said what I felt was a reasonable 6weeks to my brother he was appalled that we were having babies in our room at all! Then every second person has their own opinion about it, makes my head hurt! :headache
We haven't got Moses baskets, babies will be going in the carrycots for the pram, but then I thought that means separating them and I'm not sure I want to do that either, more :headache
Decisions decisions!

Bic is today d-day?

Morning ladies

Midwife went well yesterday, not only is she still head down but also 2/5 engaged.
As we already have three boys between us & only live in a small 3 bedroom house, we shall be having our baby in with us for probably for at least one year. Which isnt a problem untill you want some adult time & all you can see is s baby looking at you :snigger:
One other thing before i log off, i have been bouncing on my ball like most of you, but my midwife told me off as we are supposed to be rolling our hips around to open the pelvis & bring baby down even more. If you U TUBE it, you will see most people do different things on their ball.

We bought the Angelcare monitor, thats has the sensor pad and a video monitor, haven't set it up yet as will wait till I get hme with baby but it looks a good job!! Was expensive tho...
Fuzzybee, Sunday is d-day, tho am ready ANYtime!! lol
Rachael, yeah the mw @ my antenatal class used to chant 'rotate to dilate'!! lol I thought it was quite funny but it does help to remind me what I should be doing!! Good job baby has got the msg and is not only head dwn but getting there in the engagement department!! YAY

Rachael glad your mw appt well and baby is doing all the right things! I reckon nothing wrong with a bit of bouncing around, but rolling also good. The difference is if you're trying to get bub moving then bouncing will use your muscles more and stimulate your abdominals to contract a bit too, and if nothing else is good for the old pelvic floor!!!
I like the idea of the space hopper!!!

Bic I'm going to go and have a look at that monitor as a few people have mentioned it to me, but DH wants the most hi-tech thing available that connects to his i-phone and whatnot, I just want something that works!!

I've been watching OBEM, well sort of watching, more like sobbing all the way through it! I don't think I'll be watching again though, ignorance is bliss!
I always have questions so here goes.... twin 1 is hiccuping lots like every couple of hours now, it was only twice a day for a few minutes but it's become really frequent, and he's moving more, where as through the whole pregnancy he's been quiet as a mouse hardly feeling him move at all. Now I know I should be glad he's moving but I can't help but feel this is out of the ordinary for him and I'm worried. MW on the phone said not to worry, but would I be insane if I went to the hospital anyway? Any advice welcome!

I stopped googling, I checked with doppler, his hb is fine, I figured I should stop stressing!
Bic I think you're right I think he's moved further down and he's probably just getting his head kicked in by his sis, that would make me hiccup too!
I hope you're all having a lovely weekend!

Hey Girls, wow, its been such a long time since I posted on this site.

Just wanted to say Congratulations on all the new babies and the soon to be new babies, sooo exciting :clap .

My little miracles are 4months now, times really flies by.

Fuzzy Bee - My wee boy used to get hiccups all the time when I was pregnant, if it wasn't for those I wouldn't have been able to tell he was in there. It got a little uncomfortable when both babies got them together but it's totally normal x

Take care x

Hi Everyone

I can't believe I've made it to third trimester!!! Took 7 1/2 years and 7 cycles to get a bfp. Feeling really great tbh. Get tired but apart from that loving being pregnant and feeling little one growing inside

Little one is breech and I have bi-cornuate uterus so it is very likely I'll be having a c-section. Not worried about that as long as they take care of little one and I.

Look forward to the final countdown with all of you! Less an 10 weeks to go now - crikey!!!

Hi!
Well I'm relieved to say that I'm going to be in here a little longer!
I had induction booked for next week, but it's now been cancelled and I'm so glad as it seemed too early. So routine appointment next thursday for me.

Thank you for the hiccup posts! It is really uncomfortable when both babies hiccup at the same time, it's like a constant bubbling, but makes me want to pee!

Welcome Devchick and Hi Gemma! It is a bit quiet in here!

Hi Gemma

Little one implanted in the left horn so the left horn is quite stretched. Now her head is on the left side and her little feet in the right side - bless! She has been in this position for a few weeks now. Her head moves up and down on the left side but never moves sideways. To turn around her whole body would need to go into the right horn which is smaller so highly unlikely this will happen.

Still can't believe I'll be 30 weeks on Monday. So exciting to be here with you.

Thanks for the welcome Gemma and Fuzzy Bee [zx127]

Just thought I'd check in with you all and see how you are all doing?

I'm overdue at the mo only by one day but hey I thought my little one would have been here by now  I can't say tho that I'm fed up like most women do at the end of their pregnancies, yeah of course I can't wait to meet Junior but I've waited soooo long to be pregnant that now I feel like I'm really going to miss my bump.

Welcome Cheenab!

And hello EJL I was wondering where you'd got to! I know what you mean, every day I wake up and ask the babies to stay in just a little bit longer. At the same time I want to meet them I really am going to miss being pregnant especially as we aren't likely to have a third! I hope that you get a few more days of enjoying the bump before it disappears and you have greater responsibilities!!

Devchick how lovely you have a perfect shaped womb for valentines day tomorrow!! Although complicated for baby making, I'll bet your LO will find a way of turning if she really wants to, depends how she scores on the feisty-scale!!

I'm plodding along, appointment on thursday, will finally meet the consultant who I'm under as I've started to be awkward and I think there's going to be a bit of discussion as to when to book induction if babies don't appear on their own.

Take care all!

Hello Ladies and bumps, my little one still hasn't made an appearance yet going in to be induced on Friday if nothings happened I'll be 40 + 12 by then :( Midwife tried to do a sweep yesterday but my cervix is so far back that she couldn't do it so it is just a case of waiting until junior is ready or till next Friday!!

Getting sick of people checking everyday if there's any news, not asking how I'm doing just if there's a baby for them to cuddle!!!

I cannot imagine how you ladies with twins must be feeling I'm shattered and waddling everywhere and I've only got one in there.

Hiya :D
Welcome to the 3rd tri :) it is very quiet in here!!! Have been nosing at you all in the second tri :whistling:
Such an odd thing woke me up this morning, a small wet patch in bed!! I thought I'd been dribbling but then noticed my nipple was wet, so I'm guessing it's them leaking!! Will have to pop out and get some pads I think!!!!

Hope everyone is well xx

Hi girls. Hope u don't mind me joining u! I'm actually abit late as I'm 32 Weeks now. Cheenab and curlytails- nice to see some familiar names! I'm currently in hospital and have been parked here now for 8 Weeks with placenta previa. I keep bleeding and i've nearly been delivered 3 times so I'm just very grateful to still be pregnant. I've got a max of 6 Weeks to go but if I have another heavy bleed they will deliver. Have finally felt confident enough to start doing abit of online shopping as we had literally done nothing. Anyway, hope ur all having better luck than me and feeling well. Xxxx

Poor you Poppy although at least you are in safe hands. I hope LO can hang in there a little longer.. long enough for you to get organised anyway!

There are all sorts of bargains in the Boots baby event Cheenab so worth a look if you have one nearby. I bought 2 boxes of the avent pads but I've not needed to open them yet.

Hello ladies and growing bumps.

Just thought I'd share my news with you all!!! I had a little girl on Sunday 19th February at 13.15 weighing a rather heavy 8lb 15oz. Bit of a shocker she was so big as I'm only tiny!! We've named her Jorgie.

She is a total dream come true!!!

Elaine, I'm not sure if it was anything to do with my sweep but the next day my waters started leaking so who knows.

Sending all my love, hugs and kisses to each and everyone of you as without the little chats I think I've have felt very much alone during the last 9 month!!

I hope that you all go on to have painfree births and you all enjoy your bundles of joy.

Lots of love Emma - Jorgies Mummy (waited too many years to say that ;( )

Congratulations Emma! I really thought I had lots of time left and we'd hear your news long before me!

First time mummies in third tri I have a few bits of advice.... get moving with your perineal massage if you haven't already started, I'm certain it helps! (ahem!), also breast massage and make sure you've been to breastfeeding class or read up a bit about bf and expressing as I thought I knew enough but really didn't and wish I had prepared more.

I'm sure there's more but can't think of it! Good luck with the rest of your pregnancies, as Emma said I hope your babies arrive with as little pain as possible xxx

Hello 3rd tri ladies, we're still very quiet!!

Have many of you been getting braxon hicks and if so when did they start and what do they feel like? I keep reading that they start in the third tri but am yet to feel them.

I'm pretty sick of my mat bras although I think I'd be finding my pre-pregnancy ones uncomfy too. I seem to get really achey under by boobs where the bra meets my bump (if that makes sense??) Have you been finding the same ?o(

I keep getting a real tightening feeling across my belly, from what I've read it sounds like BH. Not really to sure though it's not majorly uncomfortable!!
I'm seem to be out of my bra more than in it rotf they are so uncomfortable lately, I was a comfy 32dd pre pregnancy and now a 32HH!!! They are getting really heavy, and my right nipple has started to leak at night, it's quite messy!!!

It is very quiet in here!!! :P c'mon ladies get chatting ;) xx

I'm glad I'm not the only one Cheenab. I guess we need to think about buying nursing bras too... but what size? Are we supposed to shrink a bit or get bigger after giving birth????

Hi Ladies

We are getting there!!!!

Re mat bras. I haven't worn a bra since getting preggers. Have no idea what size I am just know they've grown tons! I wear the gap tank tops with built in bra. So comfortable! And nice around bump too. Strongly recommend them. Sisnt want to spend lots of money on bras tbh.

Braxton Hicks - seem to have started having them a bit. Couldn't get out of bed last night. Stomach rock solid. When I did get out of bed shooting pain - ouch! Then it stopped when I stood up.

Lovely to see you both CheenaB and CurlyTails xxx

CT - very sorry. I can't make it now on Saturday. Have a visitor oming down. Hope you all have a nice time.

Hi devchick lovely to see you in here hun, hope you and LO are doing ok?
When I'm round the house I just have the sleeping bras on I bought, they are so comfortable ;)

Any plans for the weekend ladies?

Quick tip Mothercare do nursing vest tops which are a one size fits a lot of people and they are suprisingly comfortable....

No idea about BH, I thought that's what I was having but it was just labour!!

CT I hope you googled perineal massage and have started already?!
