Net- i read you only need to be doing light stuff so walking the dog is great and your doing really well esp when you have asthma too , the only reason i am swimming is because my DH is a triathlon freak and i just feel like a big frump beside him if im honest its more of a paddle than a swim lmao and its just to be doing something as he is a chef [zx188] and works alot of evenings so its to curb the boredom. i walk with the girls at work on my lunchbreak but thats more of a chatting session [zx108] but im telling myself its because im trying to be healthy

Tonight it is helping my sister feed the twins and make the dinner cuz she has a kidney infection and im then zzzz cuz today im tired

Hi everyone

Cleo - my DH is also an exercise nut - running, kayaking, mountain biking and climbing. I am usually sitting on the sofa when he disappears out the door to do something healthy (often with some chocolate in hand - ah well). I am trying to make sure I walk every day.

I *think* I may be feeling the first flutterings from the baby - that or it's gas
At night time and sometimes at lunchtime (in fact, just now) I can feel a little fluttering/popping sensation in my tummy - very weird. As I said it could be gas, but my midwife said I might feel something from anytime now - all the books I've read says more like 19 -20 weeks for a 1st baby though so maybe I am just imagining it.

Other than that not much else to report. Had a bit more brown spotting today but brown is OK for me - had been warned it could bleed a little bit right up until my due date.

HI Kittenlove, hope it's nice and sunny in Portugal!

Cleo - have you had your scan yet? Was it today?

How is everyone?

Not much going on really, I had to try 7 outfits on this morning to try and find something half suitable for a formal business meeting and lunch. Then after lunch my bump had grown so much I was almost popping out of my skirt! Two of my clients weren't supposed to know I am PG so I had to hold my bag in front of my bump, was quite comedic if I hadn't of been so bloated from lunch! What are you all doing for work wear? I work in a formal corporate office and the norm is shift dresses/suits etc, none of which fit me anymore as they are all so fitted in style. I have bought some trousers and a skirt in the next size up but maternity clothes are too big for me at the moment. Not sure what to do next - Primark maybe for some cheap and cheerfuls to keep me going!

Have also felt more little flutterings - hoping it's all a good sign, have scan Sat and feel really nervous about it.

Hey ladies
wow it is so quiet on here!

Cleo - hope everything is ok?

Amyeliz - I think it must be the baby, don't have it every night but most of them now.

Kittenlove - hope you are enjoying Portugal.

AFM, bleeding started yet again last night, but although heavy it was brown and has stopped again so not too concerned. Luckily I had a private reassurance scan booked for today anyway and all was well, AND we found out we are having a girl!! SO excited.

bab21

Really hope you are all well.

Thanks Sazlou and welcome to the second tri!!! Bleeding seems to be more common than I thought - still blinking scary though! I have also been told I may get it throughout my pregnancy - lucky old me!!

Very excited about the pink news I must say. I was convinced it was a boy as well - shows how much I know!

Hi Kittenlove,

was just flicking through and noticed your post!!!! Glad scan went well and try not to worry too much about low lying placenta...I was told that my placenta was low lying and was partially covering the entrance to my cervix at my 20 week scan with my 1st pregnancy, but I had a growth scan at 28 weeks and it had moved up out of the way completely...I was told that most do so hopefully it won't cause you any problems xfingers XXXX

Hi Girlies- I am just back to work after a week off, i spent a wonderful week with hubby and bump down in the south of ireland it was fabulous. All i did was walk along beautiful beaches, eat gorgeous food, sleep and swim and spent loads of quality time with my hubby. soz i didnt stay in contact but i was nowhere near a phone or computer just how i wanted it

Kittenlove- I hope everything works out but as far as i have read low lying placenta is common enough and usually moves and try not to worry about heart murmur my sis in law is pregnant with her first and she always has had a heart murmur and she has just be advised that she will have a hospital birth so they can keep an eye but dont perceive any problems

Welcome Mrs A- you finally made it over

Well done girlies on all the girls that are coming along. Hubby doesnt wanna know the sex so i have agreed that we wont find out boo spoilsport

AFM- nothing to report...i had to go lift my notes and was supposed to get scan last week and my stupid consultant wasnt there so got no scan i was so so annoyed and this was before my holidays i didnt let it disappoint me too much. i went to midwife yesterday and heard my LO heartbeat going a mile a minute so i am reassured and i have my 21 week scan on the 16th October so just gonna sit back and enjoy my pregnancy. I have popped definitely so maternity trousers all round. Went walking yesterday and am swimming 2 nights a week and when i am not doing them i am getting the practice in with my twin nephews who are 4 months old now and are just so yummy i could eat them. So im a dab hand at nappy changes, bottle feedings and clothes putting on(not as easy as it looks)

Hi all

Hey Cleo - sorry about my 'where's cleo' post when all you're trying to do is have a relaxing holiday - sounds amazing! My mum is from Co. Wexford and we went on the most amazing holiday there a few years back, driving across the south cost up to Ring of Kerry etc - just stunning. Glad that you heard LO's heartbeat but sorry you couldn't get your 16 week scan. All the best for the 20 week scan.

Not much happening with me other than the fact my bump has suddenly expanded massively over the last 3 or so days - cannot believe the difference a few days have made. In my maternity jeans today for first time, soooo comfy.

Have a good day everyone.

Mrs A- im sure they will they usually have the wee machine with them. It took a while for mine yesterday because they move about so much so as Net says dont panic if it takes a while and then you hear the loud whoosh whoosh whoosh. Forgot to say think i felt the bubbles this morning when i was lying in bed its hard to know but i think so lol

Net i have been in maternity jeans and trousers from about 13 weeks oh so comfy dunno how i lived without them lmao

Holiday was amazing and i had forgotten how beautiful ireland can be its been years from i travelled round it it just shows you your own country can be just as amazing for an old holiday but would love to do scotland maybe when bump arrives and is old enough to travel xxx

Hi ladies I hope we're all good today? Thought I'd come join you guys finally : D
I remember a few of you ladies from previous threads :)

Mrs A did the midwife listen in for you?

Kittenlove glad all was well with baby at your scan, I've known a few people and family members with low lying placentas some had moved by later scans and others booked for a section, also my cousins wife was born with heart murmur and she's about to have her second son any day : D all had beautiful and healthy bouncing bubba's though.

Cleo I've only been to Ireland once I went for the day to Belfast and a service at st Anne's cathereral. I'm off to south Devon for a few days with dh and my kids next weekend good old sun holiday a few days away will be good I hope :)

Xxx

Cleo I'm lagging begins aren't I :) I've been meaning to write in here for ages but kept getting side tracked. Good intentions and all that :) and better late than never ah : D and thank you yes cooking nicely he he.

Sounds lush : D and bless you needing another holiday sounds all systems go at your end and yes I hope so too I do love Devon cliffs (Haven) spent a lot of time there as a kid holidaying.

Building a house and mortgages sounds promising and exciting sorry to hear your stressed though :( it'll all be worth it though won't it : D

Kittenlove my calves are tight too but I thought mine was down to extra weight I'm carrying around as I've only got skinny legs and I experienced the same with my other three children : D Hope your now in the reclined position chilling now.

Hello Ladies,

I have finally made it to this page...I am 15 weeks today and only got better on the sickness about 2 weeks ago! It was really bad i had nausea all the time :puke: so glad to be back on my energy level. I was completely off everything including phones, computers, internet, food but all ok now.

I had a scan at 13 weeks and all ok as LO was seen kicking all over the place. I have felt some movements since and sometimes d left part of my tummy gets hard, ball shape and i'm guessing could be LO's head especially when i'm not so full. I have changed all my pants to maternity as they dont fit anymore and very uncomfortable, so also my bra size! I still manage some tops :)

So glad everyone is doing ok. So sorry no personals as i feel way behind.

Have a lovely evening and a relaxing weekend ladies blowkiss

Been in maternity jeans/clothes for a while and i dunno how i lived without them. dont worry you will catch up soon

Amyeliz bless your little princess kicking the Doppler : D Glad to hear your measuring spot on. I read you'd sorted your date discrepancy with your midwife too which is fab, I'm still arguing the toss my end even though he's measuring days ahead they scribbled all over my notes then crossed out because I moaned he he.

Cleo bless you feeling like you swallowed a football I know what you mean, alls systems go sounds good building from scratch must be fabulous as you can put/size everything as you want : D

Jumsy hi :) sorry to hear you suffered badly with sickness and glad its eased now I didn't fit in anything straight off :( very swallow from the start. It's lovely trying to guess what you can feel isn't it  I hope you have a good weekend.

I'm still unsure of my movements during day he shuffles 5.30am/pm and at 10.30 at night he has a rave shaking my belly from side to side like jelly. Apparently is because my placenta in lower my right on stomach very weird never heard of that before.

Kittenlove I hope you enjoy the baby show but no I'm not going :(

Xxx

Hellloooo Ladies- Hope you all had a lovely weekend.

Welcome over Lucyloo!!!

Emmajayne- it aint all that much fun because you make the final decisions on a house you have to live in the rest of your days imagine you made a mistake and ended up hating it LOL!!! No its a lovely simple house loads of room left around it for big gardens just cant wait to get started the husband is even getting a room for his bikes lol how sad one for the baby one for his bikes (baby 2 and 3) the way he treats them.

AFM- No news worked all weekend so shattered today, alot of stretching and aches and a few pains in my abdomen over the weekend and huge indigestion but i know bubba is growing so i dont mind. Felt more bubbles over the weekend mostly at night when i am lying at rest it is nice to feel them at this stage but cant wait to feel a proper kick so bump can really tell me "mummy im in here". DH asked me for the first time last night do you think the baby is gonna be alright? So innocent god love him, the reason being he hasnt seen bump since 9 weeks and i explained at the big scan we will find out....just as i was calming down now its another worry what happens if its not!!!!Just have to deal with it at the time....fingers crossed. I have midwife next tuesday again so at least i get another listen in on the heartbeat.

Amyeliz beautiful to watch isn't it so I take it you won't be urging her to do that again but she may do I could see my daughters foot through my skin at full term very strange. As for the X etched in your belly very random good that its not itchy though or sore I will look out for your pic of it.

Hi Lucy loo and sazlou very pleased you took the leap sooner than I did : D Sazlou sorry to hear your suffering with sickness and hugging a bowl ;( I do hope it passes soon for you. Very sad you had to cut your celebrations short because of sickness too. Lucy loo I hope your doing well today?

Kittenlove good on you for arranging yoga your very good I do hope it helps our Bp Hun :) two buses too I have admiration for you I hope you enjoy your session.

Hi Cleo the house sounds fab : D hehe at your husbands bikes boy and there toys as they say I'm sure you'll be very happy when its done, how long will it take to be built? Big gardens are definitely a plus with children helps alot I have a 10ft trampoline and a twin swings and see saw set and a shed full of toy tractors, bikes and other outdoor toys as well. Definitely sounds like your little one is making present known so nice when you can relax and feel/see baby moving  bless your dh all will be fine I'm sure it's such a anxious time isn't it I've paid for two private scans on top of my two nhs ones due to anxiety and I have a 4d scan booked for 28weeks. So roll on your midwife appointment so you can hear your little one again ah  I have antenatal appointment with my doctor on Friday morning.

Mrs A :-( naughty midwife not letting you hear you baby I would be annoyed too with my other kids they listened in at 11-14weeks this time my doctor listened in at 12weeks things chance so frequently I do hope you get to hear little one at your next appointment. You are very organised doing your nursery furniture I need to get into gear I think I do have my pram though : D

I hope everyone else is ok too?

Xxx

Emma Jayne- Hopefully all being well the house will be started in the next 3 weeks with the view to have it built by the time bubsy is born in feb but i know it doesnt always work out that way. We were extremely lucky as my father gave all of his children a site to build our houses on with plenty of land round them to make big gardens so im gonna make sure im fully garden equipt lmao I know DH can be so sweet when he sounds worried and i have to admit im anxious about the 21 week scan a bit too but im trying not to let him see that and this is the first time in all my time of pregnancies that im starting to grow a bit of confidence about my pregnancy and my expanding belly helps as well .

Mrs A- im sorry to hear your midwife is being lets say uncooperative, i cant understand why she wont listen in. My midwife does it at every appointment to but my mind at ease she is very good and she has booked me in every 2 weeks with her as well. Maybe you shud just explain to her you would be more comfortable due to history my lovely.
