Hi Lucyloo, I think the 'we week' scan can be anywhere between 11 and 14 weeks, (that night be for nuchal screening purposes, but either way, e days won't make any difference, I had mine at 12+3) so you'll be fine! They may redate you anyway. I got 2 days added when I went and I think Kittenlove got a whole week added!

Lucy loo- its grand at this date i actually got mine at 9 weeks so very early and then i wasnt due the next one until i was 20 weeks!!!! but i went to epu when i was 12 weeks as i was worried as such a gap between my scan and the hospital have agreed to give me a new dating scan at my 16 week appointment but as all the other girlies said quite rightly scans are now carried out between 11-14 weeks usually depends on your hospital so dont worry

Hello Ladies

just thought I'd pop in with a quick update - no sickness for 2 days now happydance I still have the retch at anything still going on, but I think it's become psychological. For example if I'm passing through the kitchen & think i'll see/smell something I don't like I start retching at the thought. Or when I go to the loo I start retching before I've got into the bathroom at the thought DH may have left a smelly one. I'm sending myself :loony: I'm finding sucking on glacier mints helps with the nausea, the down side is I'll need a new set of teeth the amount I'm sucking my way through :whoops:

Hope everyone has nice things planned for the weekend? I'm having another relaxing weekend whilst DH is at work :bath:

Hello ladies

Lucyloo - I'm always falling asleep on DH, it's become a given now  That said it gives him an excuse to have a quick power nap :snigger: I'd mention something about your MW app at your next scan for sure. I had my 1st MW app today & gained loads of information. Plus she did my bloods, blood pressure, weight etc which surely is important at this stage?

AFM - think my sickness is definitely easing happydance I've only puked once in 3 days, still retching at odd things & feel a little nausea which I can just about cope with this. I really was beginning to think I was doomed
I'm certainly eating better & I now have a little pot belly which I keep rubbing like a heavily pregnant woman :snigger: Can't wait to go shopping for maternity clothes, think I'll need to put the weight back on first which I lost from all the spewing

Sazlou - GLad your MW appointment went well. Pleased to hear your appetite is back up and running. It won't belong before you won't be able to get off the sofa with your bumb [zx187]

AFM - Scan tomorrow starting to worry now don't know why. Think I am going to mention I have no MW at the appointment see if they can help as it was them who gave me the number and all the info in the first place. Got my neices tomorrow as well after school so they are going to have to come with us and wait in the waiting room xfingers they don't make a noise.

Lucyloo - good luck with your scan tomor, mines not until the 18th & I'm already worrying nailbite

AFM - feeling much better by the day regarding my sickness. My new issue is I'm constipated & feel so bloated, haven't been for a number 2 for 4 days now :hmm:I don't suppose all the carbs & lack of fruit is helping. I'm not quite feeling where I can get back to a healthy diet just yet, lot's of foods still make me feel queasy. I also had a bit of spotting yesterday, it's gone today so I'm pretending it never happened sshh

I had this at 10 weeks but nothing since. I got fed up of worrying all the time it was making me misserable and I wasn't enjoying being pregnant at all. I wouldn't worry about it if the epu say everthing is ok. :hugs:

Mrsandrews - I've had the brown discharge on & off from about 8 weeks. I had an early scan & everything was ok, was told unless it's fresh blood try not to worry - easier said than done :S

Lucyloo - i have my scan on 18th which feels like ages away. I just wanna see my bean again & know that it's ok, I hate this waiting game ?o(

AFM I was feeling much better until yesterday when I spewed whilst having lunch with my friends, then today I spewed again whilst out shopping with DH. I felt ok afterwards & ate a big slice of chocolate cake :yumyum: the sickness is still hanging around but getting much better, or maybe i'm just learning to cope with it better  I've been window shopping for maternity clothes today, wasn't overly impressed but then maybe it's because my bump isn't big enough yet :snigger:

Hi

Sazlou At least you got to eat the nice chocolate cake thumbup . The sickness has got to end at some point so I am gonna keep my fingers crossed it will pass. It won't be long to we are in those maternity clothes  . I had another scan booked for the 24th sept but I received a letter sat morning saying they have changed it an bought it forward to the 18th sept. Worried me a little but I will have to just wait and see.

Afm- tomorrow is my final day on those pessaries and I am really nervous. I was told just to come off them and I didn't need to stop them gradually but still I can't help but worry it's driving me :loony: . Suppose I will have to wait and see how it goes. Did anyone else have any problems when you stopped the pessaries and hrt tablets ?

Hope you all had a lovely weekend xxxxxxx

Lucyloo - I stopped taking my pessaries 4 weeks after ET & had no problems with just stopping. In fact it was really nice not having the mess any more if you catch my drift. I wouldn't worry about your scan reschedule, if anything was concerning them they would have told you immediately. Think of it as a bonus, you get to see your bean again soon smile2 I'm terrified about having my scan, guess every woman worries at this stage nailbite nailbite nailbite Or do you think it's more stressful because of our route ?(
I'm going back to work tomor after 4 weeks off sick. The thought of going back makes me wanna :tears: I've hated feeling ill all the time, but loved not having to work [zx062]

To be honest sazlou I think it's more stress full because of our route. Especially as it is something we desperately want . I didn't sleep the night before it was awful I was up and down so finally I woke dh with a cuppa. He says iam the same before every appointment and scan :chortle: .

Think my MW has fallen down a black hole rotf .

Lucyloo - what is your MW playing at? I'd be getting pee'd by now, that said I haven't had a scan since 8 weeks & I feel like i've been neglected a little, It seems like I'm the only one not having regular scans

It was my 1st day back at work today & 3 people asked me if I were pregnant - eek! My boss also told me that colleagues were speculating that I may be pregnant ha! Until I have my scan & know everything is ok  I'm too scared to tell anybody at work. Looks like my pot belly is doing all the telling for me :snigger:

Sazlou- I had to tell the girls at work on sat coz I have started to show and they were asking questions. But I waited till my scan to make sure everything was OK. Maybe once you have you 12 week scan you will get regular scans.

Don't know what my MW is doing gonna try again in the morning and give her a ring and see if I get any where. If not I have my scan next Mon so will mention it again.
It won't be Long before we both make the jump to the second trimester. It seems strange how we have gone through the jolly Julys and now the first trimester think I might have to wait for you before I make the jump biggrin2 Bit scared to do it on my own

Hello Ladies

MrsA - I agree it's time to make the jump & we'll hopefully be seeing you again soon

Lucyloo - :clap you finally have your MW app. I was wondering who'd taken your bloods etc if you haven't seen a MW. Also you need your free NHS card for dental care & prescriptions. My MW completed all these forms for me - I'm wondering if my dentist will be able to give me a pearly white smile now it's free :snigger: It's lovely that we're still cycling together & will hopefully see it out til we have our healthy lil miracles in our arms   I thought a few more girls from the Jollys got BFP but haven't seen them surfing around ?( Don't move across without me, i'll be sat here chatting with myself :snigger: when you thinking of moving across?

AFM - i've been back at work this week & i'm shattered, keep going to bed at 8:30 on an eve which is totally ridiculous but when I get tired I start to feel sick. I've spoken with my boss & providing my scan is ok on 18th i'll be moving job roles. Could do without the added stress of learning a new job but I understand why I can't stay in my working environment. Still keep having random retching sessons but i'm finding ways to control them - mainly keep eating to not allow my stomach to empty. I'm feeling the added pounds already [zx161]

Hi

Sazlou- Well that was a very quick visit. She popped in went through some bits. She couldn't get my blood and she signed things off on my notes that we hadn't even discussed. So I am at the hospital on Monday for another scan so she has told me I will have to ask them to take my bloods. I think I m gonna ask them a few questions on Monday about things she never went through. I have to phone her when I get to 16weeks. That could be fun as it had taken me 8 weeks to get an appointment with her in the first place.
I can't wait to get a big bump. I seem to have lost it an bit since stopping the pessaries. :-(

Hello ladies,

Lucyloo - I'm sorry to hear your MW rushed things with you, sometimes I think they forget this is all new to us & we're terrified. Hopefully things will improve the further along you get. Not long until our next scans nailbite nailbite Can't wait to see my bean & know everything it ok, it's been such a long time since my last scan.

Net - I'm too much of a wimp to watch any of those programs :scared:

AFM - sometimes I wonder if the drama will ever end humph I had an app at hospital yesterday for a lump which I discovered in my boob over the past few weeks. I know i've never noticed it before & my doctor told me not to worry as lumpy boobs can be common in pregnant women. So i've done my damn hardest not to even think about it until my app yesterday. I had a scan & indeed it is a rather large lump :tears: They ended up doing a biopsy (most unpleasant feeling but not painful due to local). Afterwards the consultant told me he thought it looked like a Fibroadenoma (not cancer) which can often be caused by increased oestrogen - i'm now wondering if having 2 cycles of IVF this year may have had an influence? Anyway until i get my results I won't know for sure & I have no spare energy to continue to worry about this on top of my pregnancy. I also had another bleed yesterday which was fresh red blood. I looked in my diary & it was 28 days since my last red bleed. Think i'm still having a little period? Not sure my body has fully registered yet!!

On a brighter note after yesterday's events my DH took me to my fav italian & we went to see Jimmy Carr live afterwards - don't know how I manage to laugh all the way through but I did lmao I guess sometimes when you feel life is laughing at you it's good to laugh back......

Apologies for the woffle :xxx:

Sazlou and Lucyloo I feel you are now both officially second tri-ers!!!

Sazlou that sounds like a great way to spend your anniversary. I have booked a week in the Lakes in November - I expect it will be more cake eating than walking (usually do a week of walking 4 - 10 miles per day!) but thought it would be nice to get away whilst we still can.

Lucyloo - hope the scan went well?

Hi
Net-Think we will make the jump soon to the second tri. Hope you enjoy your week away in November. It's nice to get away and enjoy dome quality time together.

Sazlou - :goodluck: Today hope everything goes well let us know when you get home. It will be mice for you and dh to send a little time away with your feet up.

Afm- had another scan yesterday all looking great got my 20 week scan booked for the 5 the November and the have already booked me a 28 week scan with a consultant on the 31 December. They also want me to start taking aspirin because my mum had eclampsia when she had my sister and me. So I said I wanted a bit more information about the pros and cons just so I can make a decision best for baby and me. My sister also has type 1 diabetes and as she got diabetes through her last pregnancy they want me to have regular glucose tests. I am pleased they seem to have hot on top of everything especially since it took two months for me to see a midwife. Other than that all went really well and I can relax a little :coffee: . Hope every on is doing well :xxx3:

Hello
Lucyloo - sorry for late reply, after my scan yesterday I went straight to work & didn't finish until 11pm. Then back this morn for first aid refresher. I've also been busy sharing the good news with family & friends smile2
One of my sister had preeclampsia & my MW also wants to start me on a daily aspirin. I'm also unsure as my mum & other sister didn't. My MW said it's only a low dose which you can prescribe to babies - still unsure what to do.

My scan was ace it was so lovely to see our little bean looking all warm & cosy lurve

I'm off work for 2 & half weeks now happydance
