If it helps to reassure, my sickness which was awful, just went at 10.5 weeks.

Had another massive bleed today - soaked two maxi sani pads in about 1 minute. Went to the EPU and all ok, same as at 10w4d, am to expect at least a week of bleeding they said. Absolutely terrifying once again and just hoping that it doesn't go on through pregnancy. The sonographer said I can just go back to them if it happens again. What an afternoon. LO was wiggling all over the place, got some lovely pictures, have nuchal scan tomorrow so baby is getting lots of scans!

This pregnancy lark isn't easy. Is it!

Cleo, I think you go to lilypie.com and use the forum code and paste it into your signature.

Here in the clinic i got fet done its £175 i think its very expensive and there is no where much cheaper in belfast or around. I have midwife appointment on the 21st August and she has a doppler i think if i heard the heartbeat again id be ok

if you google, reasurrance scans they should pop up, i found them ranging from £70/£99 in the uk,
or if its too expensive just go to the epu if your really worried we pay taxes and thats how its funded so go as many times as you feel xxx

I agree with mrsA....I work along side EPU and once you have attended with an initial referral you are entitled to re-ref yourself again anytime up until 15 weeks! We have many returners stating they are having slight aches and pain and they are scanned again as long as there's been at least a week since last scan. Worrying is not good for you so reassurance scan can be a great help. :xxx:

Good luck mrs A!

Cleo, at my EPU you have to have a GP referral, I think they all work a bit differently depending on the NHS trust. Maybe there is a private clinic? I found a few near me for about £75 for a reassurance scan.

AFM had booking in this morning - am being classified as high risk because of the IVF - is that the same for everyone else?

Cleo....in our EPU dept your first initial appt you would need a ref either from A&E,midwife,GP or family planning. After your first visit you can just turn up and self ref as many times as you need to up to 15/16 weeks.
Have you already been to EPU yet? :?:

Morning ladies mind if I join in :O

I got my :BFP: 2 weeks ago :faint: I have my 1st scan on 15th Aug. For almost a week now i've had terrible nausea day & night. I don't seem to be able to escape from it & it's starting to really get me down :sniff: I was up this morning at 4am renching down the loo (not acutally sick) I'm struggling to sleep, eat or drink fluids. I went to the doctors this morning & he wasn't very helpful. He tested my urine to make sure I wasn't dehydrated & gave me some anti sickness medication & basically told me to crack on until my scan. I didn't think you were suppose to take anti sickness tablets during pregnancy? I had to ring in sick today & I'm having another day on the sofa with a sick bowl :poorly:

I'm just wondering if anybody else has experience servere naursea as early as 4 weeks? This should be the happiest time of my life instead I feel so miserable humph

Hello and welcome Sazlou. I'm sorry you are feeling so awful. My nausea didn't start until 6 weeks (and went at about 10.5 weeks) but I do think others on here have had it earlier. It's a miserable feeling, you do have my sympathy.

I had my 12 week scan today, redated from 12+3 to 12+5 so EDD now 15 feb. Scan showed big bleed still in uterus but bleeding has stopped today so now just waiting for it to start again. Baby was yawning and rolling over, very cute.

I may need to be brave and move to 2nd tri soon - gulp!

Awh Net we will miss you but hopefully i will be over soon too all being well.

AFM- i am no different think the sick has subsided but now that worries me lol lol. My twin nephews are getting christened this weekend so i think we are gonna start telling people properly. Maybe because everything seems to be going straightforward for me at the minute im panicking a bit more and so the weeks are dragging. I still have that stitchy feeling in my side though i dunno what to do

Hi Everyone,

It's good to here your all getting on well.

Hi Sazlou- How you getting on ?

Hi Cleo- I seem to get a stitch on my left side every now and again the DR told me it was just stretching and not to worry as the scan showed the embie was in the right place. Hope that helps you a bit.

AFM-started spotting again along with period pain again :-( . Don't know what to do it seems to happen once a week usually a friday or a satuday. DH keeps telling me not to worry but I can't help it. I just wish I had a few more symptoms and maybe I wouldn't worry. I seem to get a few days where I relax and as soon as I do it starts again. I have my scan on Wednesday so hopefully everything wll be ok.

Hello Ladies

Lucyloo - I don't think you can escape the worrying at this stage, the only thing we can do is try not to let it get out of control, stress not good for body & embie  I also keep having a bit of spotting every few days. It is really concerning but I've read loads of info which is reassuring. Unless it's fresh red blood & full flow it's nothing to worry about. It's often a good sign your womb is changing & sheds a little smile2

AFM - Nausea is still my new best friend  I've not actually being sick for a few days but I do keep borking at the slightest smell & trying to eat anything healthy has became a real battle. I've also pulled something in my lower back through all the borking & I can hardly move at the min - just remind me again why women put themselves through this :chortle: I can't wait until my first scan on Wed, when I see my embie is where is should be & everything is ok then i'll hopefully relax better

Hello again my lovelies!!! :hi: havent been on here for a while as i had nothing new to report and didnt want to bore people with things ive already said [zx028] . Anyways...had my booking in appointment with midwife on the 7th. Done the usual blood pressure, and asked the a-z of health questions about my and immediate family. Got my first Bounty pack happydance (they make pregnancy seem that little bit more real) and used the voucher inside straight away to get my second pack biggrin2 . Im sure the midwife had a doppler in her bag, but didnt use it :sniff: thought she would of considering i was 10w+1 so heartbeat was a certainty of being heard. Anyways, walked out with my big red maternity and labour book, bounty pack and a few pregnancy mags and that was that. Got my 12 week scan on 23rd when ill be 12w+3d. Everythings going smooth so far. Ive had no morning sickness, no more tender boobs and only symptom i still got is peeing like a racehorse lol.
Hope you lovelies are well and shall check in again when a highlight happens xxx

Just wanted to thank you all for the advice you gave me but unfortunately the baby died at 6 weeks - 3 days after seeing a heartbeat. Still waiting to actually miscarry. Just to rub it in my body has decided to stop bleeding so we've had to had a few words my body and I. Hopefully now as this is #4 they will start taking me seriously but I now don't even have the energy to be angry.

Good luck to you all

Thanks everyone
It's great to know there's so much support out there. Well I've finally been offered a erpc tomorrow - with an apology for the deviation from normal practice - apparently I should have been offered one when we found out the pregnancy has ended especially with my history of missed miscarriage. The nurse was also disgusted when she found out I had been sent home with a pot to collect the fetal matter. I have to admit I'm a bit disenchanted with the hospital and I don't trust them much any more.

Good luck and baby dust to you all

Net/Kittenlove/Mrs A- i took your advice and went to the EPU on Friday as i had like gross discharge sorry TMI on friday morning and with it and the stitch i just couldnt take it anymore. I got up at 7am and took myself off down the hospital to get a check. I waited til nearly 11.30 for a doctor and i got my much awaited scan. I had a wee touch of an infection hence the crappy feeling but my little bump measuring a whopping 5cm and was bouncy bouncy bouncy bouncy flipping over, throwing hands up looking around i cried i seen legs and arms and a head it really looked like a baby . The doctor who was super lovely told me its a very happy looking and active wee baby so so happy again and i told all our extended family at my twin nephews christening yesterday and wasnt afraid to show of my bump which is rapidly extending at this stage lol lmao

Thanks for all the support and keeping me grounded 12 weeks tomorrow girlies the hump is over i think :clap smile2

Oh Jade I am so sorry. I am glad that you have now been offered the erpc. I had to wait almost 3 weeks between finding out I had a mmc and my erpc, I know how horrible that waiting time is. Take care of yourself.

Cleo - congratulations! Glad you got your scan and LO is wiggling around. See you in 2nd tri soon - I have still not been brave enough to go over there!

AFM I went to the GP today because the bleed I was told would happen hasn't. The doctor was laughing at me as now I am worried I am not bleeding ( was told I would bleed for 2 weeksn only did for 2 days). He thinks it's been reabsorbed. Got 20 week scan appt through and have booked a 16 wk private reassurance scan, don't think I can wait until 5 october!

Hope everyone else is ok
Xx

That's fab Lucy, well I'm now 11 weeks 1 day & getting a few aches and know I shouldn't worry as it seems it's very very normal but think with the heartache it's took to get here it's all I'm doing, still waiting to her about my 12 week scan , how is everyone else today it's sunny here today so spot of gardening maybe on the cards lol xxx

Mrs A- Thanks for the reassurance i am a size 8 and only 5 foot 1 so i stick out like a sore thumb already but secretly i kinda love it . Yes i definitely got alot of niggles and aches especially in my left side low down when i went for scan i asked and they said get used to it as its all the stretching cuz apparently your baby lies low down near your pubic bone in the first 10 weeks and then starts slowly moving up as your womb stretches and baby gets bigger so dont worry

Kittenlove - miss you too wont be long lol

Ello ladies, right I am gonna be brave and leap to 2nd tri - Cleo are you with me?! Like you I didn't want to leave all you lovely first tri ladies behind!

Mrs A and Cleo I am like you, 5ft 3 and size 8 and bump in evening is ridiculous! Fast running out of work clothes as I tend to wear tailored dresses. I also get the niggly aches and pains. I think a lot of it is gas lol but also stretching.

Lucyloo - congrats! Such a great feeling isn't it.

Xxx
