HI Kittenlove,

how are you doing? I hope you don't mind me asking, but did you get to the GP? Don't worry if you'd rather not say. Hope everything is ok. 11+3 - wow - congrats - I'm definitely getting a little paunch too - I look like i have had a huge meal. I'm usually a size 8 so I think it's just showing up sooner than usual!

Panic over people, managed to do it!!! Anyways, glad to see everyones doing ok. Reason that i havent been on in a while is because i have nothing different to say and dont want to bore you all. Am still waiting for my first scan on 24th and i feel well jel that most of you have already had yours. Yes, big sympathy coming my way please smile2
Erm, what else.....anyone claimed their mother and baby pack from Emmas diary.com?? Please dont bother lol, all i got was a pack of 2 breast pads for leaky boobies, a pack of dried blackcurrant and apple fruit flakes???? (yes im baffled, as they were rank and didnt help in the slightest lol) a bottle of trial size stretch mark cream from palmers, as well as 2 or 3 sachets of other different types of cream and oil from palmers. I was also intrigued about the money off voucher they included from ocado.com, stating i think it was £15 or £20 off your first order...i thought wow, a decent bit of something in this pack, then only to look at the small print where it says "when you spend £75 or more" haha, in the bin it went!! And as you may have all noticed ive become a bit moody in these last few weeks, lol, i blame the hormones!!

Hello Ladies,

Thanks for checking...I had 2 embies put back but scan only saw one baby at 5.2mm with a heart beat [zx076] ... also got a little picture of my baby :hugs:
I am wondering what happened to the other egg as i had not spotting or a sign of losing it. Has anyone experienced this before?

Next scan will be at 8 weeks and an appointment will be booked to check genotype as DH and i have the sickle traits :riv: I  all goes well and we can keep the little angel. i will be seeing my GP on Wednesday for antenatal referral.

Mrs A - any news from the midwives?

Waylou - Goodluck for tomorrow dear,

Mrs G - Good luck for friday hun.

Hope everyone is ok...

Congratulations Jumsy! Really happy for you. Sorry you're feeling so sick, I really sympathise. Sweet smells also make me feel ill - washing powder, soap, perfume etc. I have found eating little and often helps. I had take away pizza last night and felt awful for hours after - not a good idea!!

Good luck today Waylou.

jumsy congratulations hunni so happy for you, i too had 2 embies put back both times and both times only 1 took too and no idea what happened to the other one but think its more common than we think as alot have 2put back but only 1 takes.

Hi lasses,

Good luck today Waylou, let us know how you get on.

My 1st IVF I had 2 put back but only one stayed but I did get spotting, but I remember then and with my m/c the midwives saying that your body can sometimes reabsorb it, once it knows it's not going to work of course! I don't understand how but I'm sure that's what they said!

MrsA, glad you finally heard from the midwife and have an appointment.

AFM - I had more spotting yesterday, bright red too but as usual it stopped as quick as it came. It played on my mind all day and when I spoke to my sister last night she said phone maternity and see if they'll give you an extra scan just to put your mind at rest, all this worrying can't be doing you or baby any good! Sometimes she does speak sense ;) So I phoned today and have got an extra scan for Fri at 1pm. I hope it's just going to be putting my mind at rest rather than bad news as DH will be working.

Better go, meant to be taking DD swimming. Hope you've all got an exciting day planned.

Clarabelle - sorry to hear about the spotting - glad they can get you in for an extra scan for peace of mind.

Waylou - congratulations!! I am glad that my next scan won't be internal - am soooo over them!

Mrs A, glad the widwife called you back.

AFM, my GP got stroppy with me when I asked him to chase the midwife, I have left 5 messages on the midwife answerphone and still nothing. :scream: Still, at least it's lovely and sunny. I am working from home today which is nice. My 'bump' has suddenly popped out in the last 2 days, I can't do up my jeans and my MIL told me I looked pregnant. Surely it must just be bloating at 10 weeks!

Hello Ladies,

Just checking in

Jumsy brilliant news my lovely i am sure your over the moon, as gemma b said the 2nd egg just absorbs into your body as i had 2 put back and when i went for my first scan i asked this question to my consultant when i seen only one heartbeat, he said its just absorbed as its so tiny

Waylou same to you babies on board

I had my first hospital scan yesterday and booking in appointment with antenatal.....well lets just say not as pleasant as the fertility clinic a bit production line if you ask me but then again i suppose there are 100s of women to see. Anyway consultant was just wham bam you here extremely early probably your history am i right?Lie up tummy scan theres a picture your 9 weeks today see you at 16 weeks and that was it!!!!!! But besides that i seen my wee bean and my heartbeat and my bubs is now measuring 2cm long lol got my bounty packs gave blood and was told my care was going to be hospital based not midwife led due to history so next scan 11th Sept and then another one 4 weeks later for the big 20 week one feels like a lifetime away

Mrs A

There is no such thing as a 12 week scan its now between 8-12 weeks whenever they can fit you in here its because there is one hospital here for the whole southern area and that is where i have to go!!!!!. they are doing me a favour with the 16 week one because my brothers wife is preganant she got first scan at 11 weeks and doesnt have another one until the 20 week one!!!!! at least i got to see my bubs yesterday and in another 7 weeks and again 4 weeks after that. Its just the way it works here unfortunately but to be honest im feeling good about it so all is progressing nicely so i dont think the consultant is concerned if i feel like im freaking i have to make 4 weekly appointments with my GP im sure i can ask him to schedule another one between it if i want .

My booking appointment midwife was so lovely and so sympathetic and told me i am one of the strongest women she has ever met that was so nice !!!! : D

Hi everyone, wow it's been busy this morning!

Jumsy, sorry to hear you are feeling sick. I haven't actually been sick yet but the nausea was awful from weeks 6 - 9 and has only started to get a tiny bit better this week (am 10+3 today). Mornings and evenings are the worst. I have found eating small meals has really helped, bit little and often so i don't get hungry.

Cleo - wow - congrats on having the booking in appointment. Glad you got to see you LO and all the best for the next scan. Oh and happy birthday!

Mrs A - I get little niggles all the time, feels like muscle pain - can range from dull ache to shooting pains. Most of it I think it to do with digestive system as well as all the ligaments etc stretching, I really think pregnancy messes with it and as I am *still* on the cyclogest and oestrodol until 12 weeks it isn't helping. Hope the OHSS settles down really soon.

AFM the midwife finally called this morning, to tell me the appointment they have was 16 august which is too late as I would be almost 14 w by then so she moved it to 31 july but i am on holiday - ARGH!! She is calling me back later. Feeling a little more human today, weight gain is ridiculous, I put on 4 lb in a day yesterday - must be water retention because by this morning it had nearly all gone and belly had gone back in a bit - not very nice!!

Net- thanks for the birthday wishes my niece made me the most perfect cake with raspberries and cream :birthdaycake: the best ever . I made my appointment with the community midwife/GP and its next week now 31st July apparently i have to check in with GP every four weeks go figure.

I have to agree with you about the pessaries and hrt i think they make you retain water i defo feel so much more bloated in the evening and i have put on 2.5kg boo!!!! around 4lb from the start and now i am 54.6 kg when i was always 52 kg thats the sad bit but anyway gonna start walking again this week to try and not get too lumpy lol and keep healthy as its apparently good to strengthen muscles might even look into doing a bit of swimming with the dh as he is a major triathlon buff and i just look like the lazy pregnant wife beside him now LOL

Mrs A- i get achy pains all the time feels a bit like AF but its all the stretching inside and is normal enough as long its not the type of pain you cant bear it shud be ok

AFM....I had my midwife booking today. Only problem was that my blood pressure was qiute high (i suffer from high blood pressure before preg) up till now my BP has been ok but it has crept up! I work in the hospital that I had my booking in so the midwife is going to come to my office later today to check it again...she said if its high still I will have to see a doctor

I will try to keep calm....

Oh also I have my scan next friday,I will be 13+1 then

I'm having a terrible afternoon. At about 4pm I had a tummy ache so went to loo and have started to bleed. It's getting worse, it's bright red with some clots as well. I can't tell if the tummy ache is because of the bleeding or because I have an upset tum, as have that too. So so worried - we are going to France for a week tomorrow and I don't know what to do. I know bleeding is common but because it's accompanied by pain I am absolutely terrified it's a m/c. Don't know what to do about France. :tears:

Net- yes you need to be seen by a Dr. Do you have any out of hours contacts for your clinic/maternity unit ? Can you call your ut of hours GP he/sh can refer you straight to the right department/hospital instead of waiting hours in casualty. If not A & E it is they will see you and transfer you to the correct department to see a specialist - Net you need to see someone today!

Keeping my fingers crossed for you. :xxx3:

Just back from A and E. All ok with LO, thankfully. Heartbeat 158 and CRL normal. Have a big load of blood in uterus so am to expect more bleeding but all ok. LO was wiggling all over the place. Lovely registrar saw me when she heard I was ivf patient, four hour wait but worth every second. Now on orders to rest so will spend the next week not moving from sunlounger in the shade.

Net darling...so sorry you went thru all these but glad all ok now, pls get plenty of rest. :hugs:

Nausea had hit me really bad since monday and still feeling very ill but try to eat in bits which helps. Doc advised to keep taking liquids and stick to whatever stays in my tummy but ensure i take folic acid everyday... I have been living on strawberries which is also rich in follic acid and cream crackers.(next to bed, helps with nausea) I am now expecting to hear from the mid wives soon xfingers not sure how long it takes for them to be in touch.

How are you all doing ladies...

blowkiss

Net- Just logged on god love you hunni i am sure it was scary stuff but so glad your LO is wriggling around now go to France and do absolutely nothing for a whole week :girl_pinkglassesf:

Mrs A- How are you getting on

Jumsy - the morning sickness is cat isnt it but it does get better i have one day off one day on at the minute but wrecked all the time

Nothing to report either ladies apart from my first midwife appointment at my local clinic next tuesday. I was wondering though i dont have another scan til week 16 and my last one was tuesday at 9 weeks..........does it feel weird i feel like i want a 12 week one as its the one that is the milestone your over the hump and now you can tell everyone? Me and DH are waiting to tell everyone else at week 12 but i dunno it feels like i wont even know whats going on to be telling everyone woo hoo im pregnant finally!!!!! Am i being mental??????

They say once you see a heartbeat after 8 weeks the likelihood of miscarriage is less than 5% and then at 12 weeks less that 1% but i wont know at 12 weeks cuz i wont be having a scan am i being melodramatic???????? :pullhair:

Cleo- no your not being melodramatic I feel the same really - 12 week scan was always the benchmark when you knew it was 'safe' to tell everyone! Waiting for a 16 week scan seems like waiting forever! [zx065] But I guess your clinic/ Hosp must think everything is ok that's why u have been left for our next scan at 16 weeks. Just think at 16 weeks our LO will be looking amazing with everything formed - I just thInk the whole process is amazing! :clap

Net - really pleased to hear all went well at the hospital! Enjoy your break! :xxx3:

Mrs A- How you doing I've just got home after a 12 hr shift - I'm absolutely knackered!

I had my 9 week scan today - baby measuring 22.9mm and 9 weeks 1 day. Second baby stopped growing at 7 weeks but it is still there next to the other one! :tears: :labour: They were identical twins. I've got to see a twin specialist in 2 weeks time to make sure it isn't affecting the baby that is growing. Got mixed emotions really I feel sad for one that stopped growing - why did this happen? - but am equally pleased that the other one is fine!

:xxx:
