Hi Phoebe

Yep I agree with MrsA that gym is fine as long as not lifting etc. treadmill, x trainer ok BUT if you feel dizzy, sick, have chest pains etc STOP! Just take it easy. This info was a nhs website on line re what exercise u can do whilst preggers. : D

How's work going MrsA? I'm on a 9-9 Wednesday and Thursday this week!! :tired:

Hope everyone is getting on OK. Xx

Did any of you have any brown spotting after your internal scans? I've had a bit ever since my scan on Friday, nothing significant, tends to be first thing in the morning after my pessary. I did google it and it seems like it could be quite common but interested to hear from FZ members!

Hi lasses,

I think I am 8w4 - just had to really think about it, I must be starting to relax a bit as I have known instantly until just then!! My 7 week scan was external! But I know from my m/c that if the external one isn't clear they will do an internal one. Well, that's what they do up here anyway!

As for exercise, I was told you can continue with anything you normally do, but now may not be the time to START running etc. But I would go with what everyone else says and go with what your body tells you!

Some of you gals do work long hours, feel a bit of a fraud as I only work 2 days a week!

Pheobe - hope your DH has good news 2mrw.

Ameta,

After my ordeal i wouldnt go for my first scan to the local maternity hospital go to where you got your treatment as they know more about your situation. My local maternity tried to tell me i was a week further on than i was and scared the life out of me when they said we see nothing in sac and your 6 weeks 6 days when i wasnt even 5 weeks 4 days!!!!!!! They dont understantd the whole fertility process like your actual clinin would.

i even cancelled my Early Pregnancy appointment that i was supposed to have today with the local hospital , as they left me with no faith in them. I have my actual scan with my fertility clinic on wednesday.

But you know in your heart what you want to do - just giving you some advice :xxx3: blowkiss

Kittenlove - no it must be baby that is showing. And u being a size 8 u will sow way before me I guess as I'm normally a size 14!
Enjoy your trip in Cornwall!

MrsA - I'm good thanks. Went to the hospital today for a scan but told them I was only 6 weeks 4 days and that I really want to have my antenatal care at the Women's Hosp and not the Alex. By we're OK about it and asked that I contact my surgery again. I went and sorted it out and now got to wait for an appointment from them. but feel happier going to my chosen hospital! So I've got two very long shifts t work which I'm not looking forward to then scan on Friday!!!! Can't wait!

You OK? Xxx

Cleo - thanks for the advice again! Hope u r well. Xx

Ariel- how's it going? X

Hope everyone else is OK. Xx

Morning ladies,
How is everyone? My nausea is really starting to get to me (I am not complaining, but I am , if you see what I mean !) However this morning it wasn't quite so bad for an hour or so and I was paranoid that meant everything was going wrong. It's now returned!
I'm 8+4 today, counting the days to my next scan at 9+5 and hoping I get that far, it's really 1 day at a time isn't it. I have my GPs appt tonight to arrange my midwife appointment - not too sure how it all works but assume I have a booking in appt then my 12 week scan. Slightly concerned as i go on holiday when I will hopefully be 10+5 and don't get back until I am exactly 12w - when do you have to have the nuchal fold test, anyone know?
It's sunny in Kent, we had the most almightly thunderstorm last night that actually made the double glazed windows rattle - I think more rain is forecast for today.
have a good day everyone

Hi girls,

How is everyone doing?

Net I think the nuchal scan has to be around 12 weeks but can be a bit before or a bit after - I think give or take a week or so, but don't quote me ;)

I just wish I was 12 weeks so I could get my next scan! For the last few weeks I have had tiny spots of blood every few days. Today it was a bit more but it has gone again. It's driving me nuts, I want to go to the toilet all the time just so that I can wipe and see if there's anything there, sorry tmi 8| It's getting me down, I just wish I felt more pregnant. I don't feel sick, or need to pee all the time, I am quite tired but do have a toddler to run around after! Aaargh, see driving me nuts.... ::P

Sorry, didn't mean to bring down the mood. What's everyone up to this weekend? There's a local festival up here for the next 10 days so hopefully going to be kept busy and not thinking about things all the time :whistling:

Mrs G - goods luck with your scan today.

Mrs Andrews - I have sharp pains on and off - more often than not I think it's gas from the pessaries - haha sorry if tmi. I do have the odd stabbing / shooting pain and had that quite badly around 5-6 weeks.

Definitely felt less sick yesterday - hoping that I feel sicker today - absolutely paranoid the symptoms are going although I am still eating like a horse.

Have a good day everyone. Has anyone heard from Cleo by the way?

cleo so happy for you, well i phoned my ivf nurse who said after what happened last time i was to go straight to EPU so have been there all morning and obviously been crying and thinking the worst things ever, then led on the bed and see said well look theres your perfect looking baby and theres its heart beat i litery thought i was going to pass out from shock, i always set myself up for the worst news, the measurments were exactly the same as my ivf clinic have said i am 6 weeks 2 days but they said i have hyperstimulated and that might be what the pain is as its both my overies and they each have a big cyst on a little confused about all that but the ivf nurse is ring me back soon so will ask her im sooooo happy and relieved xxxx

Hi everyone.....hope your all well!
I have a problem ......I'm 10+1 today and have a lump in the breast, well I say in the breast but it's kind of in the breast/armpit! I actually noticed a tiny lump a while before I was pregnant but just thought I would keep an eye on it. Now iv noticed its getting bigger! It doesn't hurt and is not on surface of skin. I know the obvious thing is to go to doctor but I'm scared because I'm pregnant :tear:

Hi Everyone

Well I went or my scan today and there was a [zx076] And then the nurse moved the probe around a little and low and behold there was another one! The second [zx076] was a little slower but was ok. They both measured around 6 weeks 6 days and 4 days. She said they look as though they r sharing the same sac? But she couldn't tell 100%! So next scan is on Thursday! I'm a little shocked as u can imagine I just hope the little one with a slower heartbeat is going to be OK! God it's all a worry isn't it?

MrsA - :congrats: brilliant news really chuffed for u. Xx

Net - sorry to hear of the lump issue but go and see your Dr - whatever it is I'm sure they will be able to work around it! :xxx3:

Cleo - :congrats: fab news very very pleased for u. Xx

Jumsy - not long to go. U feeling ok? Xx

Is it safe to go to the gym and do things like bike and cross trainer?

Anyone know the answer to this :)

its safe to work out as long as you dont over-do it, eg if you feel that its hurting you or getting a bit niggly then stop. im currently doing water aerobics, and plan to keep that up for as long as i can, since water holds all your weight and works your whole body

Waylou,

I didnt have to pay for them as the first scan was part of my fertility treatment as i went private for this treatment.............but i think most places will give you one anyway i have never heard of them having to be paid for but i dunno everywhere is different.

Can you go back to your clinic? If you've paid for treatment surely you can get another scan and get them to talk you through the hyperstimulation? Sorry you're having to go through all this - it's strrssful enough!

no it was the ivf nurse she rang me back as i had to let them know what happened at the early pregnancy unit, she said her senior nurses dont need to see me as they wouldnt do any thing diffrent to what the EPU :-(
just spoke to my husband about it and he is going to ring them tomorrow but im also going to the docs tomorrow so might push for another scan with them too obviously as im so worried ive had a misscarraige in the past and ectopic last year after ivf, and now have hyperstimulation that the EPU informed me off i told my ivf nurse that too and she hardly even mentioned it just said it should lear up by 12 weeks
