Hi Jewels thanks, i have lost weight since my BFP, only 2 pounds and still not put it back on but there's def something going on in my tummy, i'm sure ill be woundering why i was moaning in a few months when i'm the size of a house.

Congratulations on reaching 12 weeks Sasha. Good to hear that your cold hasn't got worse.

Jewels, I was hoping to have a bump by now as well but I am just bloated. The midwife said probably won't start to see anything until about 16 weeks. Mind you at least it means there is plenty of time until people will start noticing, so no need to tell people too early.

My tummy is huge! Had to buy maternity trousers as can't get anything else on. I've put on a couple of pounds but not enough to justify the size of me! Hoping it will start to settle down now I have stopped the cyclogest but no progress yet. I like looking pregnant apart from at work. Getting harder to hide each morning. The staff all think it is 'lush' but think it is too early to tell my students in case something does go wrong ( ). If you are thinking of buying some clothes, I've rediscovered New Look! Hardly been in since I was a teenager but their maternity range is really affordable and they do different length trousers which I'm sure they didn't used to do. They also have quite a bit in the sale (even cheaper!).
I've got the date for my 12 week scan - 23rd Jan. Feels like ages away! Hope you are all well and managing to relax. Take it easy this weekend and put your feet up!

Hope everyone is good...feeling huge today - permanently in the maternity pants. Such a difference from what i was like with DD. 10w+2 today - still waiting for my first ever scan ...got just over 2 weeks. Hopefully it'll come round quick for us both whiteangel!!

Very very tired this week but sickness is not as bad but comes and goes.

p.s forgot to add that yes i agree new look is brill for their maternity range! I am currently in my first pregnancy maternity wear and just a tip for those who dont mind second hand...i got alot of my work shirts and a few pairs of black trousers from ebay!! got a lovely Topshop pair and 2 Next pairs. Both came in perfect condition and only cost about £3 each! and i'm getting double use out of them xx

I seem to be getting lower back pain this week and very occasionally really mild period pain like cramps. I'm not in pain with my back or anything - just a bit uncomfortable. Anyone experiencing the same? started worrying again - im 10+3 xx

Sorry about your pains Jen, but stop panicking. I've had mild period cramps for weeks, and every time I tell my consultant about them, he just says, 'nothing worse?', then it's fine, don't worry about it. And no bleeding? I'm sure it'll be fine, you're probably just adjusting to the growth of the uterus, I mean the ba by is expanding at a rate of knots at the moment!

I had another scan yesterday as I had to have another IVIG infusion. I was worried about the scan as my NK cells had gone up so I was panicking that they had harmed the baby, so was very nervous before the scan. But it was the loveliest scan. It had grown loads, and the doctor even pointed out that it was kicking its little legs! So cute. It has actually started to look more like a baby-shaped blob! So i feel much happier now. And it was measuring a day older actually, and he said there is a very recent study (which my husband actually read to me before) that has come out that shows that if a bab y is growing at the right rate in the 1st trimester, then your chance of miscarriage falls to 1.5% which is fab!! So I think we are all doing well in that case.

Well had my 12 week scan yesterday and omg what a shock i got. I expected to see what was starting to look like a baby, oh no, it is a baby, it was wriggling around, doing back flips, waving it's arms and legs and then the most amazing thing happened the mouth opened and the nurse said that was our baby feeding

Based on my early scan i would have been 12+2 yesterday but they have put me at 13 weeks so very chuffed.

Well i think i'm going to take the plunge and move over to the second tri, i hope you all keep well and hopefully see you all over there soon.

Wow Sasha, your scan sounds fab! Didn't realise you could see so much at a 12 week scan.

Jewels so pleased that your scan went well after all your worry. It's so difficult not to worry.

I've been looking online at maternity clothes and New Look sounds like a good bet. I think H&M might be a good bet as well. I'm very bloated especially in the evening but don't think I'll be needing any maternity clothes for a while.

I've finally got a date for my NHS 12 week scan for 16th Jan. I will be 12W4D then. I hope they are able to see enough details to see if I still have the pool of blood. I haven't had any spotting so hope it has dispersed but I guess it could stay there or even increase?? Off up to London next Tuesday for more immune blood tests as well, so busy week next week.

heyyy back pain seems to have eased...probably is normal as it's not painful but more incomfortable...i just dont remember having it with DD. Surprisingly im far less stressed this time round believe it or not...just get the odd moments of panic lol

congrats on your scans jewels/ sasha....i remember being so amazed at the 12 week scan with my first pregnancy by how clear everything was.

had my booking in appointment with the midwife today, it was really good she gave me a bounty pack and loads of info to read through!! We were discussin how I have become a bit scatty (babybrain) I got home and sent my coffee flying all over the bounty pack and info........I am such a cluts!!!

Midwife is booking me in for my 12 week scan and this should come through the post shortley, looking forward to having a scan again especially after reading yours Sasha that sounds great cant wait to see that .

Beanie, only a few days to go before your scan! How exciting. You can see loads on a 12 week scan, it's amazing... I'm sure they'll be able to see if the blood is still there, or has gone. Fingers crossed for the latter.

Taffycaz, I can't believe you've already got baby brain!! What are you going to be like in a few month's time?! It's lovely that your booking in appt went well, it makes such a difference if you have a nice midwife. Hope you get your scan date soon!

Had to go in this morning for another progesterone blood test. They were a bit worried that it had dropped, but that was because it was taken in the afternoon, and usually I do them in the mornings right after my cyclogest. So I hope they realise that, I tried to make a note in my files, but you never know, it's a bit like playing broken telephone sometimes!

I am not as tired in the evenings as I was before, has anyone else found this? I expected to be tired through the whole first trimester so am a bit surpirsed, and needless to say worrying whether it 'means' anything! Hope not...

Found out last night that a third lady at work is pregnant but don't know who! Spent today examining tummies; think I know who my money is on! There are lots of young women at work so I shouldn't be surprised but we are only a staff of around 30 so 10% of us are pregnant! They are going to have to order maternity cover in bulk! Oh and our headteacher's wife is pregnant. Definitely catching! I'm uncomfortable very low down on my tummy, pubic bone I suppose. It isn't terrible just feels a bit like when I need the loo but all of the time. Growing pains do you think? Hope so! Can't wait for 12w scan to see that everything is still ok!

Whiteangel, sounds like growing pains. Pregnancy is vary catching at our work. Mind you it's quite a bit company so there are always plenty of pregnant ladies wondering around. My manager's wife had her 12 week scan yesterday. She is due 3 days before me. I saw the scan and it was amazing how clear it was.

I'm a bit nervous about my scan on Monday. I always start worrying a few days before a scan. I guess it's natural

Feel huge today - my friend keeps laughing at me as she cant believe how i've managed to hide this pregnancy from everyone when i look about 5 months pregnant already!

Jewels, quite possibly just picked DD up a bit funny. She is over 2 stone in weight and i am forever lugging her around....not sure if i should be doing but i guess life must go on and i've to stop my mishchieveous toddler getting into trouble somehow I've been told it's okay to carry on lifting if your body was used to it pre pregnancy but maybe i just overdid it that day I wouldnt worry about tiredness....mine definately comes and goes and did with DD also.

Hi everyone

Had a nightmare this morning trying to find something to wear! What a saga! Decided I would wear a lovely long tunic top I have over leggings, so ironed it all etc (nope I’m not organised enough to iron things beforehand, just as I need to wear them!). Put it on and it was really tight over my tummy, actually made me look pregnant, and if I had zipped it up I don’t think I would’ve been able to breathe! So off that came. Then as the leggings were already on, I thought, OK I have a long orange jumper which should look cool. So ironed that too. Popped it on, and you could clearly see where it was clinging to my tummy, which made a bump! Getting a bit desperate at this point as I’m now running late for work! So had to put a skirt on over leggings, with jumper over that. So have a real layered grungy look going on today. Thank goodness I’m a ‘creative’ so I can wear what I like! But I think it may be time to buy some looser clothes and some trousers which are a bit more forgiving. I had heard that IVF girls show much faster than others but I didn’t expect this! Quite hard when you’re trying to keep it quiet and not tell people. I was hoping to not tell anyone til 4 months at least, but I think that’s going to be unlikely.

Jeepers whiteangel, I don’t envy your head teacher! He’s going to be very busy recruiting! That is always the problem with schools, there are always loads of young women so it’s bound to be a problem. I feel so sorry for the girls on the forum who are teachers who have trouble conceiving as it must be so constant that people are pregnant around them. We have it much less at my work. Although typically, when my last treatment failed we had 3 people in a row get pregnant, so it must be the stage of life people are at suddenly.

Beanie my progesterone was really high for some reason which was bizarre. I’ve only ever had readings in the 200’s and this time it was 400 something! Maybe the placenta is starting to do something? It’s the only thing I can think of?

My sister is so excited to come to my scan on Tues, and my mom is so jealous!! So much for keeping her based in reality, when I spoke to her last night, she said that her and my dad want to buy our pram when we decide on one! I’m like ‘Mom! That’s ages away, don’t get so far ahead of yourself!’… but I think it’s a lost cause. I don’t think she realises how expensive prams are in the UK so I said we’d love to have a contribution, but won’t be getting them to pay for the whole thing! I don’t want to end up feeling like I have to get a cheaper one because they are paying for it. But I really am not thinking that far ahead yet!

I can’t wait for my scan on Tues, I so hope it’s a good one and we can see stuff.

ahh jewels...i sympathise with the lack of choice of clothes that will fit right at the moment! In fact I was at soft play with DD on friday and saw a lady i barely know but enough to say hi. She asked me whether i was expecting!! eek i must look big if at 11 weeks people are asking me about my pregnancy...brave thing to ask on her part so anyway that leads me to the dreaded topic of weight gain....i've resisted standing on the scales for a few weeks now but was shocked to see that i've gained 10lbs already! I weighed approx 9 stone 5lbs pre pregnancy and in fact do remember this rapid weightgain with DD...i swore i would try and make good choices (and although i dont think i've been too bad considering the thought of chocolate and fizzy drinks makes me feel sick) i still seem to pile on the pounds...maybe this is just my body and what it does. After a total 3 stone + weightgain with DD I did lose the weight quickly but probs due to a touch of PND...i lost my appetite for a little while. Hoping not to get PND this time but hoping to shift the weight also. Hopefully the weight gain will slow down as i enter the second trimester.

Just been to a christening with lots of DH's ex colleagues who i haven't seen for a while. Those who knew I was pg congratulated me and those who didn't guessed straight away so I must look it! 12 week scan a week tomorrow. Can't wait, then I'll tell the children at school and be able to start wearing more comfortable clothes rather than trying to hide it. Really tired this weekend, can't seem to get enough sleep! One of my best friends from Unix who i haven't seen since before Xmas told me she is 4 months pg. Really hope things go well for her as she had a mc a couple of years ago. Will be lovely to be on maternity leave together. Had a weekend full of babies and loved every minute of it! Hope you're all well and relaxing xx

Has anyone thought about buying a doppler, thought it would be quite nice to listen to the baby moving and stuff. Been looking at a few that you. Can use from 11 weeks but not made the plunge yet.

Nt feeling so sick this ast week, only symptom i ae is tiredness and a few twinges now and again. I have also weighed myself and i think fom the start of my ICSI i gave put 10lbs on, but i ave staid the same in the last couple of weeks. Cant get enough fruit at the moment, hubby had to move fruit bowl out of the lounge as i could not help yself lol.

Just been looking at maternity leave today to decide what i am going to have off, think i am going to take a year but money maybe a little tight....what is everyone else doing????.

Let me know if you do buy a doppler and if it is any good. Not looked at maternity leave in detail yet. Will take off as long as I can afford. Will depend how far I make it before I have to stop work! Would like to go back part time afterwards but again will depend on what we can afford, especially if we manage to sell our house and need to buy a new kitchen and bathroom! My tummy seems to have settled a little this week. Hopefully my weight gain will also settle. Looking forward to being able to start anti-natal yoga when I get to 14 weeks. So tired this weekend, just want to sleep all of the time! x

I might get one tomorrow, see what the best one is. My midwife mentioned swimming to me said it is great while you are pregnant, i live swimming but not in this cold weather, our local pool also do an antenatal aqua fit. Havent done yogo for years but need to do something or i will ve te size of a house lol

Just read a review online written by a midwife which said it is impossible to hear a heartbeat before 12/13 weeks as the uterus is still in the pelvis and the devices can't hear through bone. Let me know how you get on with your research xx

good to hear about other people's weightgain....i keep reading that it 'should' be about 2 or 3 lbs in the first tri but good to hear you are at 10lbs also taffycaz...i guess it makes sense for the range of normal weightgain to be fairly big seein as everybody's different

I never got a doppler with first pregnancy and nor this one but i've heard the best thing to do is go through those hire companies....they have some on ebay. That way you'll get a quality product ...i think they're about £10 a month. I've heard some bad reviews on some of the cheaper ones you can buy outright. Regarding when you can hear the heartbeat and whether before 12 weeks...i really didnt look into that but in my first set of pregnancy notes it says that the 'Fetal Heartrate Heard' and this was at 9 weeks. I know 9 weeks is said to be really early but do remember going in to hospital after i'd fainted and they checked the HB. Havent heard the hb in this pregnancy yet though (but nor has anyone tried) xx

I have been told about the best invention! OK it might not be news to you guys but it was to me, and I'm hoping it will revolutionise our worlds!! As I've mentioend, i'm not happy buying maternity clothes yet, it still feels too soon, and also it will make it really obvious that I'm pregnant, when I don't actually want people to know for a while. So my sister told me about this thing called a 'maternity flexi belt trouser extender'. It's brilliant. It's a piece of material with a hole for the button and a button for the hole of your normal jeans / trousers so you can carry on wearing normal trousers and skirts for a good while longer. I fit into them all except for the zip and buttons, so it should be perfect! It should arrive in the next few days so I'll let you know how I get on. I just ordered it off Amazon for £12.50, so it's alot cheaper than buying maternity jeans!! I'm so hoping it works as I had to buy another pair of elasticated jeans from Zara yesterday, and I'm loathe to spend money on stuff that I don't love!

Luckily no one has said anything about me being pregnant, but maybe people are just thinking I'm fat or they're too scared to ask! Asking someone that early is madness! Jen, your lady is lucky you were pregnant! I never ask anyone til they're fully showing! But once I made the opposite mistake by NOTsaying anything to someone who was really obese, and it turned out she was pregnant, and then it was really embarrassing too as it was obvious I couldn't tell... Oops!

Taffycaz, why don 't you post a thread asking about dopplers as there are alot of girls on here you use them later in pregnancy. I've seen them posts about them, and there were very definitely some which were better than others. I will definitely be getting one as I can barely survive between scans at the moment, so heaven knows how I will cope when they slow down. Every time before it gets to a scan I'm convinced something must've gone wrong and the baby has died. I know that's really morbid, sorry. I'm sure when I get past 16 weeks and the date of my previous m/c I will be better (well I hope so anyway!). I'm not sure when you should be able to hear the HB via a doppler, but I'd be very surprised if it was 11weeks, as they're still having to do vaginal scans at that stage, as even abdominal scans can't pick stuff up that clearly yet. So I think it's doubtful that early. I think when you're later along it's more likely you'll hear it. It would be good for you to take it to your m/wife and get her to show you what sounds to listen to as well as it can be very confusing. When I had my m/c the doctor on duty at A&E used a doppler to measure the HB and told me there was definitely one when there clearly wasn't afterwards, so it's important to make sure you know what to listen for.

I'm also really tired at the moment Whiteangel, although less sicky which is nice. It's been a hectic weekend with my sister and her boyfriend visitng so we've been doing lots of touristy things, and yesterday afternoon my wheels just fell off, and I fell aslepp in the car and then had to go to bed when I got home. I just had nothing left.

In terms of maternity leave, I'd really like to take the full year off. I think we'll scrimp and save to make it happen, I have friends who struggled to go back earlier. I'd also like to come back to work part-time, maybe 4 days a week. Ideally 3 days, but then it will be really tight financially, and we'll have to start thinking about more money for another few cycles of ICSI if we want a sibling I hate the thought of having no option but to do that again and again... but anyway that's quite far in the future! Twins would've been a convenient solution, even though I know we're not supposed to wish for that!

We're going to see Les Miserables tonight, so another late night. I've had to subsitute my progesterone injections with cyclogest 2 nights now because of the London shows, so I'm hoping that's OK. You girls are just on cyclogest, not injections right?, so I'm hoping it's fine.

I have my scan tomorrow at the Fetal Medicine Centre in Harley St, which I'm really excited about. It's £100 so is actually £10 cheaper than my clinic but they have much better machines, so as I have to have one for my clinic anyway I am having it there. I'm so excited (and scared that as they can tell more, there will be something bad to tell) but am trying to remain hopeful. And I hope it's a good one for my sister's sake too as she's coming with. My mom is so jealous! Please keep your fingers crossed it's all OK with baby.

I had my last scan at 7 weeks at the clinic, had a lot of symptoms such as feeling sick, sore boobs and tiredness. Recently these have disapeared but the tiredness is still there. I am now in my 11th week and cant wait to have my 12 week scan to make sure thing are going well, waiting for my scan date to com through the post. I was thinking about getting a doppler for a bit of reasurance between my 12 week and 20 week scan, also thought it would be nice as they say you can hear it moving and hicupping, also you can download this onto your pc, my mum would love that. I have had a look at some reviews and some women have heard their heart beat at 11 weeks.

Had a bit of a crappy weekend, we have had issues with husbands 19 year old daughter.....they had an argument via txt and it came out where we thought she was excited about us having a baby, she is not and has totally acted like a spoit little selfish brat. It has stressed me out, and i cant get it out of my head. There is a lot more to it than that and her mother as also stuck her nose in but i could do without this!!!,

Aah taffy thinking of you. It's hard enough dealing with the stress of the pregnancy without anyone adding more stress. I know it's hard but try not to let it stress you out, your pregnancy is the most important thing. 19 year olds are really selfish and childish still. And it sounds like it's classic sibling issues, worry about dad suddenly being more interested in another child etc. They can be very spoilt and selfish at that age, I remember my sister being the same. Try not to worry about it too much, remember they also change moods like the weather, and next thing she'll be excited to be an older sister! teenagers - can't live with 'em....

I love the idea of listening to them hiccup etc! How lovely. Let us know which one you get and what it's like. I definitely would also like to.

And remember - put yourself, your Dh and your LO first. I'm glad to hear your symptoms are similar to mine. Also no more sore boobs etc.

Hi Taffycaz - my symptoms have subsided also...they come and go...i've put it down to the placenta taking over which is why symptoms start to fade towards the end of the first tri...good luck with DH's daughter....she'll come round but im sure you could be doing without the drama at the moment aghhh dreading the teenage yrs with my daughter

My mw also told me that you can't pick up the heartbeat until the baby pops out from behind the pelvis, which I think she said was between 14 and 16 weeks but not sure.

Jewels that belt sounds good. I think I may have read about it somewhere. You'll have to let us know what it's like once it arrives. I'm them same about the scans. Just before each one I get so worried and when I have them it's such a relief.

My symptoms come and go as well. My tiredness is going although I ended up in bed at 8:30pm last night! The only symptoms I've really had are tingly boobs on and off and the tiredness.

Taff that is such a pain that your other halfs daughter (and her mother) are causing problems. Not what you need at a time when you need to be stress free. Try not to let it get to you and think of yourself.

I had my 12 week scan today, which was amazing. They checked everything. You could even just about make out it's kidneys. Everything look as it should do at this stage. It measured at 13 weeks, which would bring my due date forward 3 days but they say when you have been through IVF they stick with your original date as obviously I know the exact date my baby was created.

We told my DH's brothers this eve, which was cool. They live in Holland, so we skyped one of them and waited until the whole family were in front of the computer and then put the scan photo up in front of them. They realised straight away and were all really excited. One of our nieces said that she was really excited especially as they would be getting an English niece or nephew!

I'm of up to London for some more immunology blood tests tomorrow.

Jewels i had a look at those belt things on Amazon.....its a good idea but I think I am going to stick to my leggings and long tops for the time being, I dont wear a lot of trousers anyway except jeans.

Glad to hear everyone's doing well.

Had a bit of a panic on Mon night when I got home after the theatre as I found I had been bleeding. My heart just sank and I thought ‘here we go again’. Poor Dh’s face. It just fell. It wasn’t fresh blood so I just clung onto that as I know that it’s a better sign if it’s old blood, but it was still scary. Luckily we the scan planned anyway for yesterday else I don't know what we would've done. It felt like a very long morningwaiting for teh scan!

The sonographer managed to find it abdominally, which was a nice change from the dildo-cam! As soon as the image of the sac and baby came up I was looking desperately for movement or the heartbeat and couldn’t see it at all, so was really worried. Then a few seconds later she found the heartbeat and put it on speaker and I just burst into tears. I was so relieved. I just spent the rest of the scan with tears running down my face. It was so lovely though.

OMG Taffycaz, the blob actually really looks like a baby now and it started moving and kicking, so it was really special to see. And it measured perfectly for my dates. Phew. Check out the scan. I think it looks like a baby, you can see the little legs on the right, and the hands waving...

So we are going to take the plunge and cancel our holiday to SA in Feb, and I’m going to book NCT classes – AARGHH!!

My trouser extenders just arrived so I will let you know what they're like. As much as I'd like to, I can't wear leggings and long tops Taffycaz as my stomach shows through them and I look pregnant and I don't want people to know yet... hence the wardrobe issue!

Jen, I hope your cold gets better, you poor thing. I have a tummy bug and feel awful. Really seriously bad stomach and I really need some Immodium or something but can't take anything. It's a real bugger.

Beanie your scan is great, What a difference between yours and jewels, just shows you how quick they grow in 3 weeks. It must be nice to move into the 2nd trimester must feel like you have reached another mile stone.

Just realised i am going to meds free from next week, i have to reduce my pessaries over a few days and then stop, and i can also stop my metformin as well!!!!!

Feeling rather large today in the stonach area, really sqeezing into my jeans now, also noted that a lot of my tops are not fitting me in the boob area lol, great mind husband is loving it!!!

Wow Beanie your scan is amazing! I'm also in awe of how much they can change in under 3 weeks, how incredible. Congrats on joining the 2nd Trimester!

Taffycaz I'll bet you can't wait for your scan? I can't believe you don't have a date yet you're almost 12 weeks! Are you going to chase them? It has to be done before 13 weeks if you're having the nuchal scan so I hope they hurry up!

OMG you're so lucky to slow down on the meds, I'm SOOO jealous. Have been told I'll be on clexane til 34 weeks, and cyclogest til 20 weeks Never mind the steroids... Lucky thing.

Quick update went to bathroom this morning and had some old brownblood on pants and wiping, phoned EPU who were lovely told me to come down straight away so left work was there in 15mins and scanned took her ages to find baby due to my tilted uterus but LO was there heart beating away such a relief . She had to do trans vaginal scan due to my uterus but am scared as I now have a sore back.

Sorry Mollie to hear that you had a scare. Good that you were able to go in straight away for a scan. Just make sure you take it easy.

I was told that the nuchal scan can be done up to 14 weeks. I had to chase for my 12 week scan. Actually my DH did all the chasing as he was getting impatient!

Kat, the doppler sounds good - I will check it out on Amazon.

gave midwife a ring this afternoon, they said that there is a backlog with the scans but they have requested one for me, they said that the nuchal scan can be done up to 14 weeks. If I have not got a scan date by next friday then I have to ring the hospital, but I think i may do that before then!!

Hey girls just checking in, I have another scan on Monday due to bleeding (not fresh though so trying to relax!) I am still signed off on bed rest and getting bored now!!! I got my letter for my 12 week scan it's 3 days before my birthday which is nice because my dh and family paid for the ivf for my 30th birthday present so it will be nice to have a baby to look at for my 31st (oh no even saying 31 make me sound old!!!!)
My mum is getting so excited as dh working a lot mum has been to my scans so she really feels part of it all!!!!
I have an extreme craving for jacket potatoes (healthyish so that's ok) I have them for lunch and dinner!!!! Even talking about them makes me want one now!!!!!
How is everyone getting on only 3.5 weeks until I'm in 2nd trimester wow I'm amazed!!!!

How's everyone doing today? Other than bored OLD Shelly! The grand old age of 30...Phew chick, I wish I was still 30!

Mollie how're you doing? No more bleeding I hope? Just keep saying to yourself (like me on Monday - Brown is good, red is bad')... it's like a mantra

OK so I am on scan overload - my clinic wants me to have another scan next Thurs, but I don't have a date for my NHS nuchal scan yet (they are bleedin slack aren't they? At this rate they will miss the cut off. Taffycaz, I would check those dates if I were you as everything I've read about nuchal scans say they have to be done between 11-13+6 days, so don't let them palm you off after 14 weeks, as it may be too late. But check anyway.

So as I don't want to risk them only doing it at 13 weeks and my clinic getting p'd off, I'm going to have to have one done privately down the road next week, to satisfy my clinic that I can stop the progesterone injections. It is definitely overkill, and knowing my luck my NHS one will come through a few days later! But to be honest with the amount of money we're spending at the moment, another £145 is a drop in the ocean. I swear we are going to have to put golf clubs / tennis rackets in this baby's cot as soon as it's born, so that it is earning us some prize money by the time it's 10 years old!! It'll be payback time

To be honest I don't mind having this many scans, each one is a little more reassurance and at this point I really need it. Every time I go for a scan it brings back memories of the one I had where the baby had died, so each good one makes that memory go away a little more.

OK so my trouser extenders are not quite the miracle I was hoping for - well not yet at any rate. They look great, but I'm still too small for them unfortunately. The button is too far away still so the trousers are too loose. So today I have rigged up a device of my own - tied a hairband around the button, then through the button hole, then back over the button, and WALLA! I can wear my jeans again! YAY

So will be using those extenders in the future when I'm a bit bigger.

Am going to try and make an appt with my GP to prescribe some of my drugs. Hope she'll feel sorry for me as we've spent a small fortune on this cycle. And in theory the NHS should'e given me 3 cycles, where they only gave me one, so here's hoping!

I hope everyone has a great weekend, I plan on doing alot of nothing. Last weekend was so hectic with my sister and I'm worried I overdid it, and hence the bleeding. So I plan on taking it easy for now.

Got home today and my scan appoinemtn had come and it is for next Tuesday (loads of notice), hubby just told me he cant make it due to something going on at work, dont knwo if I want to go by myself just encase there is something wrong, he thinks I am being negative but I just feel that this is something we should be doing together.......or am I being soft and should just go by myself???

Argh! We got the dreaded phone call this afternoon, ofsted are coming Tues and Wed! Bra shopping trip abandoned, going to have to go into school tomorrow and spend the day marking books! Came home this evening as I'm too exhausted to do anything constructive. Will have a good night's sleep and throw myself into it in the morning! One of my friends has started her maternity leave today, so wish it was me! She is due on 4th of Feb so would be exactly the same as me making it to the last day of the summer term so she is proof that it can be done! Hope you all have a lovely relaxing weekend. Day 7 of this awful chest infection - feel loads better than i did but it's just lingering now due to lack of antibiotics

Anywayz - i know this is early thinking but my mw asked me about a homebirth at my last appointment to which I expressed absolute no interest in what so ever however it's got me thinking...I had DD at the local hospital...very quick labour, no complications with just gas and air. I would be more than happy to give birth again at this hospital but their maternity ward is now closed which means travelling further a field to somewhere i've not been before. I was maybe considering homebirth but was just wondering if any of you ladies are? Im pretty sure i dont want a birthing pool. I love the idea of it but i know from my first labour when they offered me the pool i had absolutely no desire and just wanted to be left on the bed...even when im ill the last thing i want is to lie in the bath.. but im worried about giving birth on the floor...i mean how comfy can that be?

Taffy my dh can't come to my scans so I have been taking my mum and my sister!!! Do you have someone close (friend or family!) little tip - female friends/family tend to be more on your emotional level at scans etc!!!!
White angle bummer having to work on a weekend but my god your a trooper!!! I greatly repect your efforts!!! Any luck with the maternity clothes??? I found some lovely stuff in Dorothy Perkins!! Debhamams also do a nice range!!!!
Jen I'm feeling a lot better now thanks for your thoughts! I'm dreading giving birth at my hospital it is renouned for not provided good care due to the vast amount of women they have over 7000 births a year and last night were in the paper for yet more fatal errors but at the same time there SCBU is one of the best in the county!!!!
Jewles the hard band sounds like a good idea for now - jeggings are also an excellent and comfortable alternative to jeans too!!!!
AFM I am up early again this morning! Went to see my parents last night and have a lovely (long) conversain with one of my closest friends who I haven't seen for a while her child is now 12 months so she had lots of tips for me!!!
I'm not us about anyone else but due to the lack of bedroom activity me and dh seem to be putting more strain on our relationship, the treatment out a lot of strain on us but we are now worse, has anyone else experienced this???
Anyway I'm off to get a bra fitting today I'm excited as I usually have small boobs and there getting nice and juciey

My parents live in South wales which is about 7 hour drive from me, I was chatting to my mum last night and she offered to come up for a couple of days but is way to far for her to come as she would have to get the train which would take longer.

My two good friends that know about me beign preganant are both working as it is durring the day.......I supose I could change the date of it but I am desperately wanting to see if everything is ok, so I think I am just going to go on my own and have it done.
