Thank you for all your well wishes ladies

One very happy me this afternoon.. scan was at 2pm and got scanned by a trainee who took forever, so got to stare at our LO for ages. It was lovely. Measuring 12+6 which has moved my due date to 9th March.

Went to work - my boss had gone to a meeting, typical. Had geared myself up too. Told my colleagues. Mixed opinions (why do people feel the need to air little snidey comments) but there's no stopping the huge smile on my face.

Relieved. And now off to share the good news (8 o)

As of tomorrow i'll officially be 2nd Tri but will be sticking my head in here to keep up with you - won't be long before you're all over too.

Take care xxx [zx127]

Thanks for the comments ladies. Still bleeding but still not heavy and no cramping. Plus felt tiny bit sick on Tuesday, a bit more sick yesterday and no question this morning felt rough. So feel a little bit mixed emotions having threatened miscarriage symptoms combined with preg symptoms. Hey ho. One more day at work (umm on the couch at home!) then Spain for a week then the scan.

If I don't have heavy bleeding before the scan I'm going to be so anxious about the scan itself. I know this sounds strange and I should be excited just I'm knackered from this roller coaster and now just want to know what's going on but at the same time if it's bad news would rather stay where I am. ?(

Elena- glad the spotting and cramping have stopped. Try to relax- easier said than done i know. Im sure everything is fine. xxx

Im getting really anxious about going back to work on Monday. Im a dance teacher and ive had the summer off. I was told at my scan to still take it easy for a few more weeks as my ovaries are still enlarged from the treatment. Im very anxious to know how much i can and cant do. Im not going to do any dancing for the first few weeks until my 8 week scan but already worried about how i will know how much i can do after that...........such a worry.

Hope everyone is ok. xxxx

Hi Ladies,
Sorry I have been quiet for a while, I was taking a break while waiting for the scan. I needed to take my mind off all things pregnancy (a bit hard with all the hormones rushing around) to avoid completely convincing myself that the scan would show nothing.
Shell :clap Great to see you on here
Mim, what a stressed out couple of days you have had but glad to see there is still a bubba in there. Keep well :angel2:

AFM, the scan went well, saw the heartbeat and dh and I fell to pieces and even the fertility nurse teared up with joy. Still have very swollen ovaries due to OHSS but hopefully shouldn't get anymore bursting. Spent the last couple of days celebrating.

Hi Mim

I rang the clinic on Friday and explained as I had bled every 48 hours for a week I hadn't taken Clexane in that long too. My bleeding wasn't heavy on Thursday just two small clots. I said to them if it carried on at this level should I stay off Clexane. The nurse spoke to the dr and called back to say start Clexane that night. If I start bleeding heavily I am to stop Clexane but fingers crossed it looks like I am doing better as I still haven't bled since Thursday.

Hope you are ok. I know how stressful it is bleeding whatever the amount. It sounds like you are doing better now with just brown spotting and small clots xfingers

Great news on elena and gwmma scans great news congratulations

The update

Went for the dreaded scan and totally was sooo down there were soo many kids and pregnant woman in the EPU that it was kind of depressing , we waited over 1 hour as they were running late ,our parking nearly expired ,I started to argue with DH just because I was sooo worried , Eventually after I asked what is going on the sonographer came and to my surprise was the same one that scanned me last time when things were not good ,so I was like that is it this is the end of it and especially what are the chances of her scanning me again ,she is the manager there ,so she remembered me she asked me lots and lots of questions before the scan and saw how anxious we were ,I told her I am dreading the bad news she’s about to give me but I still have a bit of hope, so we started the scan , as I was so anxious she showed me the baby straight away and said well well baby is growing well ,it is the right week from last scan from what I told her and it has a heartbeat ,she said she is happy , she also showed me the subchorionic hematoma which is now on top of the baby and she said it is 3cmx3cmx1cm ,she said it is something she wants to monitor… I was so shocked again to see our little hero there holding on so I asked what is the hb per minute ,she told me their policy is they don’t measure this and she is happy with what she sees ,I am so happy baby is now 1cm and grown exactly what it should have but I am bit disappointed she didn’t measure the heart rate ,should I worry now…. She was confident to scan me in two weeks but she said to me she will scan me next Wednesday as I am soo worried ….My Dh is over the moon , I am only worried about the hb per minute and also I have been having this heavy pressure down there for a few days ,she said it can be stretching and also my huge ovaries which are about 15cm by 10 and they are touching each other and pushing on my womb + she said there is still some liquid from the ohss … I am sooo happy but sooo scared and just hope the hb is as good as she said it is ….

Thank you Mim and Misspurple!

Mim about the heart rate- They didnt measure my LO's heart rate either. They saw it on the screen and said they were happy with what they saw. Everything measured as it should. When I asked about measuring or listening to the heart-beat the doc and nurse both agreed that they didnt need to so you're not alone there! Pls try not to worry, as they said your LO has grown as it should have and thats what matters! They would want to monitor you as you said cz of the heamatoma and slight spotting. They also told me to keep taking Clexane till 10 weeks.
Mim have faith you've definitely got a little fighter in there. Everything will work out in the end. Sending you loads of hugs xxx :cuddle :cuddle :cuddle

Mim i never had blood clotting issues as far as im aware. I was told that clexane helps reduce the risk of ohss and being at high risk i was prescribed it. My ovaries looked fine on the scan but still need to take it :?:

Great news Elena, MissPurple, Gemma and Mim

So pleased for all of you!

My scan is creeping up. Less than a week to go now. Am hoping to hear from my dr today or tomorrow with the second hcg result that will give me a bit more info.

Am feeling really good at the moment. Have been feeling a bit sick in the mornings but a ginger snap seems to sort it.

Hope I get to join you ladies with good scans.

:hi: everyone, been away for a while. Just read through the posts, been a busy time. Blood test results are in!

Looks like it implies good news

Beta HCG on 01/09/11 was 42116 - 6w3d
Beta HCG on 02/09/11 was 49231 - 6w4d

I found a website detailing avg hcg levels on a daily basis and these look spot on. At the top of the range but within it. I stopped bleeding on Thursday (1st) so as I had these blood tests taken after I don't think the levels would climb like this if the embryo wasn't growing - would they? xfingers

I know you aren't supposed to have this done on consecutive days but I had to as they were shut in Saturday and I'm on holiday in Spain this week so couldn't go on Monday. I was thinking if they were just climbing slightly it was positive but this looks strong to me. Am I reading too much into it???

How uplifting to hear lots of lovely news, congrats to all the ladies moving up or have just had their scans.
As for the heartbeat thing, I had never heard of this until I was reading this forum. The nurse was happy to see a heartbeat and signed me off.
Extra big congrats to Mim for holding on in there.

Fantastic news Cheenab!

Mim good luck for Wednesday hope it oes ok.

I'm starting to get a bit nervous about Monday. Am feeling soo much better than this time last Thursday when I was in tears at drs office! Am relaxed, bleeding has stopped, have had intermittent nausea this week and am a bit tanned :) this week has done me tons of good and has really helped this week fly. Hmm, wonder if dh will let me spend next 7 months here thinkthink

After having a dreadful week 6, week 7 has been great. Even my bloating has gone right down. Did this happen to anyone else? After the abundance of side effects now I'm worried I'm not feeling much. But if I think about it I definitely keep getting a tightening quite low below belly button and do feel a bit sick. So my side effects haven't disappeared completely. Am I really concerned I don't feel sick enough now?!?!?!

Happy times Cheenab!!

Shell, I think I must have put my birthday in wrong as it is really the 9th June! Maybe I thought I was American. Happy birthday anyway.

Poppy, the only advice I can give is to constantly eat and eat something before you get out of bed in the morning. DH loves all the ginger but biscuit crumbs in the bed but as I am pregnant I can get away with most things now. If you are feeling flash with the cash then acupuncture really helped me. But then everyone is different, so try everything you read until it works!

Devchick, I seem to go through this on a daily basis. I curse it all when I have symptoms and then worry like hell if I don't feel anything. :faint: Very jealous about the tan, I think I have just have rust from all the rain :snigger:

AFM I'm off get some oh so sexy maternity bras as I have been exploding out of old ones for weeks and it is just getting embarrassing :snigger:
