Hi girls,

So a few of you are definitively moving on to the second trimester. Well done girls :weehee:

For my side I started snapping at dh too for no reason, so I think the hormones are starting messing me up! I remember my sister was evil, so hopefully I won't be as bad!
Trip to the loo is now more frequent and I am still not eating! Although yesterday the hunger suddenly appear for the afternoon and I had to ha e a burger, but my stomach was still digesting it this morning so not nice.

My boss is starting analysing me and she has noticed I was not myself. I just hope I can keep it secret as long as possible.

[zx108] to you all being hormonals :) be strong girls

Hi ladies - first of all - congrats to all of you...it is hard to believe that I am here and I am sure some of you are feeling the same way. So far my preg seems to be going well - saw a HB at 6 weeks and am 7w3d now. I will have another scan on Thursday as I had over to my obgyn at 8 weeks. I am on all kinds of patches, pills, suppositories and injections to support this one and so far things seem to be going OK. My IVF doc decided straight away that she thinks I am insulin resistent - and just the fact that bean is still with me might indicate that she is right.

Although I have all the right symptoms and this pregnancy feels "strong and healthy" I just haven't been able to (or maybe allowed myself) to think about it as far as maybe having a baby at the end...maybe once I feel kicking...or maybe after the 20 week scan if everything is OK then (that is when we found out about Charlie's problems). Til then I will just be happy to feel crappy and supertired and count down every day til the next scan and the next and the next.

I know some of you will be feeling the same as me as we all have our histories - I appreciate having this community where I know someone is in more or less the same place.

Hey caymansarah, I know the feeling of counting everyday but i hope it does get easier for you.

mary82 good luck at your scan.

I had my second scan in 4 days today, i was suffering such bad anxiety i felt i couldnt cope, saw baby again measuring exactly 6 weeks 5 days which is perfect to the day. saw a little heartbeat again too, i felt so relieved as all my symptoms seem to have disappeared at the weekend. I have another scan on friday.

I have decided to take some time off work to relax and rest as the stress of the ivf and then the early pregnancy has taken its toll.

How is everybody else with anxiety? I almost feel like I shouldnt be this bad but surely I'm not the only one?

Hi Girls, how's things with everyone?
Mary and Caymensarah good luck with your scans tomorrow xx
Namea, think youv'e done well to keep your twin pregnancy a secret at work!
Kayliegh, good idea to take a break and try to relax. I have also been feeling very anxious and possibly a bit depressed, hard to know if it's hormones and tiredness but do feel down, then I feel guilty about this as it should be a happy time and I've been so lucky. Got Drs tomorrow so will mention it.

Hi Bic, I know we've never spoken before but I
Read your post and I felt I should reply to you as I've felt the same as you all the way thru this pregnancy!
Like you I've suffered mmc so I know how your feeling and how each moment of everyday your looking for sptoms
Of reassurance and forever comparing yourself to others and googling everythin for answers, Which is mainly the reason why I haven't joined the 1st tri chat because I know it would only make me worry more.
Like you I have had days where I've had little or no symptoms and then sent myself into a right panick and gettig upset etc, but then a
Day later I'll be nauseous all day, tired, irritable and my boobs will kill me... Then I feel stupid for gettig worked up... But then I'll go through it all again just a few days later! So the way your feeling is normal hunni, after loosing a baby, especially a
Mmc, we are bound to be paranoid.. And no matter wot anyone says to reassure us I don't think we will relax until that 12 week scan! I know it seems like a long wait but we'll both get there.. An jut try and remember ifyour little one is lovely and healthy it isn't goin anywhere!
I hope I've grows I'n some way , xxx

Bic- I had days like that where I had nothing then bam there is was all the time! I was really worried about having my scan cos I had a bad day at work yesterday, I worked 16hours cos I'm a Carer but I was with patients that were violent and really heavy that we had to move up the bed, when I got up this morning I had really bad pains in my lower abdo which really hurt! I was scared I harmed my baby through working like I wasn't pregnant (if u get me) but having the scan today put my mind at rest! So if this is what will put ur mind at rest ring them! Don't google
Tho cos I did that and it's the worse thing u can do! I was crying going
To my scan and coming home! And I still feel really low, not having a good day even tho I've seen my baby xx

Hi all

Sorry to hear some of you are low
Bic i feel absolutely the same.
There are dAys I have no symptoms at all and then the nauseas kick in again. Then I have all these weird pains and don't know if it is good or bad As it is my first pregnancy and I have no one to compare against as I don't know anybody who had twins!

Try not to worry too much and pick up the phone to speak to the hospital if you feel better. It will be better to have your mind at rest instead of becoming sick with worries.

Kel cannot wait to join you on the next trimester!
Mary nice to hear you scan went well
Red good luck for you check up. Hope all is well!

I have managed to eat a bit more for the last 2 days, but still not totally as nausea have increased.
I now have period like pain and not feeling too good, but weekend is coming so will be resting more as I find it hard to cope with work right now.

Hope everybody's feel better soon.

Do you mind me asking about the 7 week scans you guys are having. I know that each clinic may be a little different but I cannot remember for the life of me what happened last time I was pregnant. Do you get a scan 7 weeks past EC or at 7 weeks pregnant?

nice to know I'm not the only one. I thought the whole

Morning all!
Thank you all for ur reassurance & kind words but I'm still not feeling positive just cannot shake this at all! One minute my boobs feel a tiny bit sore (nothing compared to what they were at the start) and the next I feel nothing and I didn't need to get up in the middle of the night and pee last night!! I know I'm symptom watching but I really can't stop it! In my head I just keep thinking that the hormones must be dropping! I think I'll phone the hospital today but then I'll likely change my mind again!! aarrggghhh Hope everyone else is feeling a bit more positive and happy today & Mary please take it easy, I'm a nurse and work 13hour shifts so I know whats its like but remember hun, it aint worth it! xo

Hi All
Please can I join you? Have been lurking in the shadows until I had my first scan yesterday as I almost couldn't believe it and was too scared to even use the "p" word!! My clinic don't count pregnancy from DPO but from DPT so I am 7+1 rather than the 7+4 I had thought I was.
Our bean measured 11mm, which is 7+2, and the sonographer let us listen to the heartbeat which was just incredible and such an emotional thing, we are still blarting about it whenever we talk about it. Heartbeat sounded good and strong. I will be monitored really carefully and am on high risk obstetric care as I have a bicornuate uterus and Ehlers Danlos syndrome - which means I'll be on fortnightly scans, possibly a cervical stitch, and I think I'll be on medication until at least week 28. I'm really glad they are being so careful, when you get to this stage you just want as much support as possible. Our consultant warned us that we still have a long way to go but was also really reassuring about the level of care we will get.
Anyway, have been following everyone's progress - I have never got to this stage before so it's all new to me so I am not experienced in this. Hoping everyone is feeling better and happier today - aside from all the worries about symptoms we also have vast amounts of hormones coarsing through our system which will be playing tricks on us and won't be helping.
Anyway, wishing you all a lovely bank holiday weekend with lots of pampering! x

Hi girls

How is everyone today?

Blondy welcome Honey and good luck with your pregnancy.
Bic hope you feel better soon :cuddle
Red sorry I has all kind of pains but no twinges in hips.

Kel just read your post again. Wow 9 kg in one trimester!!! I bet your bump is huge?
Did you take anywhere else yet? I have lost 4-5kg since the beginning of the pregnancy as i couldn't eat anything. I am getting worried as I have reAd that the twins need to grow a lot first trimester to avoid any complications later on.

also all my symptoms have suddenly stopped this morning so have called the hospital and they booked me in for a scan next week. They were really nice and surprised I had no follow up since my 6 weeks until the midwife appointment! So if u don't ask, you don't get?
Am really anxious now cause don't know what to expect or if it is normal not to feel anything suddenly?
The gp told me nauseas were a good sign and it all went overnight, I really feel different.

Did anybody go through this? I had on and off symptoms but this is different ...

I hope you are all doing well?

Hi everyone
Kel, congrats on graduating to 2nd trimester. Just to make you feel better I have put 8lbs on in 4 weeks and that's with just one bean! I am having loads of nausea, sometimes I am actually sick but only on a few evenings. Eating, if I can face it, seems to ease the nausea temporarily - it's as if instead of every having an appetite I now feel sick - which results in me eating loads more than usual, oh well.....
Namea hun, really hope your symptoms are back and you are not worrying - what day is your scan? It will be reassuring to have that I'm sure, I guess we are going through so many changes there will be ups and downs. Also I expect we never really stop worrying.
Mary, hope your pains have subsided.
I've been having horrible headaches, seem to be linked to the nausea, finally gave in and took some paracetamol today and am feeling loads better now.
Anyway, hope you are all having a good weekend. [zx021]

Hey girls,
Red think maybe your pelvis softens up to make more room, could cause hip pain maybe?
Bic, hope you are doing OK
Mary, hope the pain is easing. Sweet about the baby stuff, I've been looking but not buying.
Blondie, congrats sounds like you have been through a lot to get here. Think every ache and pain is amplified when you are pregnant, maybe cos we get so in tune with our bodies. I know what you mean about eating easing the nausea, Im the same. Dont dare weigh myself and I used to weigh myself every day! Been scoffing peanut butter from the jar, ummm peanut butter...
Hunniballoo and Kel hope to join you in a few weeks.
loads of love to all

Helloooo!
Red, I am having strange feelings not quite in my hips but right at the top of my left leg (I have two wombs and my left womb is the one that doesn't have the bean in it).
Hunniballoo, congratulations to you, we all look forward to joining you and Kel very soon!
Ruby and Biscuit - congrats to you too and thank you - yes it has been a tough journey, this was my fifth and final time - no money and no emotional reserves left, I can't believe how lucky I am and am embracing every symptom with relief and gratitude, it's still sinking in!
I have had a day of gorging to try to head off sickness and it's worked so far, the biggest danger time for me is brushing my teeth at bedtime as that brings on really strong gags - urgh!
Been sleeping a lot today instead of getting on with work, must need it though - tomorrow's another day so will try again then.
Now trying to stay awake watching Pirates of the Caribbean.
Take care everyone and hope you're all doing well and feeling lots better xxx

Hi girls, hope your all doing well, sorry I haven't been in touch have been suffering from
Nausea non stop since 5 weeks we had our day 35 scan to our shock had 3 heartbeats, one sac is measuring nearly 6.5 but the other sac which contains 2 heartbeats is small and the measurements are 5.6 and 3.6 .

I am now so afraid of what's going to happen they will scan again next week to see how they are getting on. Anyone else had this experience? A week is such a long time I just don't know what to do.

Amazing! :) I know a week seems so long but it will soon be here, just rest as much as u can hun as with 3 little beans it will mean extra resting then normal, there is a chance that 1 or 2 will be on the smaller side but im sure in time with lots of rest they will catch up xfingers oh im so happy for u xxxx

FirstTimeLucky

Wow, this is amazing! Were you expecting 2 maybe??
I hope all will be ok for you.

When we had our first scan at 6 weeks the nurse said that one of them was smaller than the other. She didnt give me measurements but she said it was normal. So try not To worry and start enjoying your journey. I know it is hard but you can only give it time now.
I am going back on Wednesday for another scan so will ask for measurements.

Symptoms will be stronger i am afraid as your hormone levels are higher. Try to eat small meals every 2 h as I find it helped with my nausea.
Make sure you drink plenty and rest whenever necessary.
And stay relax honey xfingers for you

Shaz - yes I had slightly high numbers - 670 at 15dpo and 1650 ish (cannot quite remember) at 17dpo. After searching the net for hours it appears it could still be a singleton so who knows what we are going to get. Happy with a healthy baby - if we have more than one I will be just as happy x

:hi: to everyone and their beanies

I am 5 Weeks 4 days and today I feel shattered. I had a couple of dots of blood this morning for the first time in about a Week and a half. Nothing since but have been a bit worried about it. Is this normal?

Shaz i had 2 put back and both worked so i have un-identical twins :) which im really happy about as it means twin 1 could be a girl xfingers as i found out twin 2 was a boy at my 12 week scan, i already have 2 boys but as long as they are both healthy i will be happy but a little girl would be amazing :)

Hayley, when is your scan booked for ? Im sure there are 2 in there! :snigger:

Nat, i had the same and it worried me so much but turned out to be nothing, it was roughly around when afr should have been here if i wasn't pregnant and the hospital said sometimes you get a small bleed as some loose lining comes away? so try to relax x

Hi All,

I really wouldn't like to put money on one or two babies - simply cannot wait for our scan though! Hoping they are doing well in there. It feels strange knowing they might be there but not feeling them.

Do you think it's okay to eat mostly pickled onion monster munch???? I am struggling with eating veg etc as it makes me gag......I keep having to spit carrots and peas our before I throw up!

Nat please try not worry it happens to s lot of women and they
go on to have babies.

Kelly o hope your wish comes true its nice to have one of each I've got a little girl so hoping one of the 3 is a boy, but as long as they are healthy that is what matters.

Hayley eat what you can at the moment don't worry about veg intake, once you feel better you can start eating healthy, x

Yeah Hayley, thursday!! Nervous and excited!! lol praying for a wee heartbeat!!
Everyone was wondering ur thoughts on getting ur hair coloured, all the pregnancy books etc say that there is really low risk and especially if getting foils (like I do) because no hair dye actually touchs ur scalp using foils!! Have any of ur been brave enuf to do it?? xo

Regarding dying your hair it really is a personal choice. I decided not to just because my hairdresser explained the risk involved in chemicals absorbing through the skin of your scalp. She told me that her hairdressing students are now learning to do foils without colour touching the scalp but it's not something they do routinely. She was not happy with doing a full head of colour at all.

As I say, the choice is yours!

BTW did anyone feel less bloated quite quickly after getting their BFP? I feel quite small now and worry something's not right?
