I know its mad isnt it, you get over one hurdle and there's another one waitng for.
I dont think i;ve ever been so worried and concentrated on one thing in my life!

I had the sore boob thing for a few weeks, drove me nuts as i sleep on my
side and just couldnt get comfy. That seems to have died down and I now
just appear to be half asleep all the time - good job work is quiet at the
mo! and I feel rotten the whole time.

The few days I have really gone off food of all sorts, which is a shame
as I love cooking and food. Just on the water and fruit and dry stuff
to get me through.

Will definitely all be worth it, im quite happy to sacrifice a bit of sickness
as long as the beans are taking all they need. :-)

Thanks Kel - ok now I am confused. The clinic says 8 weeks, so are they just ignoring the 2 week
add on?

RED, you count from EC then add on 2 weeks as that would be from last af date! By development you are 9 weeks +3 (ec) and by gestation (af) you are 11wks+3

So you are mush further then what u thought u were :) only 4 more days and ur 12 weeks woohoowoohooo 1 day ahead of me :) so ur due date is november 28th 2011 :)

Blimey thats a surprise, I wonder why the clinic are saying 8 weeks then. Hey ho.;
That may explain my sudden feeling rough as well.

Although the scan photo does only show a tiny bean, from my 6 week
scan, which does fit more with the picures ive found on the net.

I will grill them when I go back!

The April reference is to the BFP, should have put a - in the middle.

Ive actually been totally fine so far, no sickness, sore boobies or anything, i kinda feel a little disappointed that i dont 'feel' pregnant! Im sure ill soon change my mind once the sickness kicks in!!

Im due 8th Jan, got the scan at 7 weeks to see if its just the one in there! I assume at 7 weeks they'll definatly be able to see 'something' on the scan? ive heard stories of people being told they have to go back later as they cant see anything, or is that becasue they've been scanned earlier than that??

At a 7 week scan a heart beat should be detected! I had to go back cos baby was nearly a week behind so they just wanted to make sure all was ok! Don't worry about having no symptoms cos not all woman have them, I didn't have any on my last three pregnancies but I have them really bad now it's very hard to deal with! Sit back and enjoy ur pregnancy huni :) xxx

It really is a hard time isn't it.....you always think once you get that BFP things will feel different and the worries will stop.....they don't!

Enjoy what you have each day that goes by and think about the miracles happening inside each and every one of you.....it's such a beautiful thing.

Hi All,

first time here and so happy I registered because there are so many answers to all sort of questions that I have been having. Been trying TTC since 2005 and third time lucky, it's a :BFP:
I am 5 weeks and 1st scan is scheduled for 23 May. This is really scary and I feel that the 2WW was nothing compared to wanting to find out if the heart rate will be picked up...
I have not had many symptoms and just found out on this forum that it was quite ok for some people not to feel sick. Aside from feeling a bit tired in the afternoons and boobs hurting, everything else is fine. Must I be worried? please help... thanks so much.

Grateful to be joining like minded souls... high5

It so nice 2 hear other mummies to be have the same worries!! I have the odd wee twinge here and there, now & again!! I'm like is this normal should I be worried?? ur mind just goes into overdrive!! I have a GP appt on mon, would really like an early scan like alot of the rest of u, especially given my history!! xfingers they'll give me 1!! My symptoms sorta come and go, it's quite strange sumtimes my boobs feel sorer than other times, other than sore boobs, some mild headaches on and off and instead of feeling sick I feel hungrier, I dont have any major symptoms!!
First time lucky, I'm due 15th January 2!! Thought I was the 10th but actually its the 15th!! So we r due date buddies...YAY!!

Had a very confusing letter off the clinic today..... It was congratulating us on the pregnancy
Wish was nice but then it had the scan details which said on the 9th may I was 7 wk 6 days which is totally wrong cos I was 10 wk 0days then and it actually said EDD 14th July 2011..... I was like omg that is the quickest pregnancy ever!!! It's like they have three different people in the letter, they have our names right but then the weeks is wrong and then the delivery time is too lol I will be ringing them Monday morning lol xx

Getting nervous about it now, so tiny and vulnerable in there. Don't have to many symptoms, just tiredness and get so hungry, could eat and eat and eat!

Morning ladies!!
Ruby and Biscuit, I feel the same, tired & hungry!! I think there could be a chance of multiples but not as high a chance as there wud be with IVF or other more invasive fertility treatments!
So went to GP this morning, asked her bout early scans, she bascially had the attitude of if it's gonna happen, it's gonna happen & having an early scan won't help!! :-( but then she said i can discuss it with my midwife at 1st appt!! So went up to the desk and filled in antenatal booking form & then they got the midwives diary and the 1st available appt is 10th June!! Which is ages away & I'll be 9weeks (almost) by then, so there very litlle chance of getting an early scan, totally gutted, don't know what to do now!! :cross:

10 weeks 1 day pregnant today got first appointment on Wednesday to answer questions and do tests.

Last scan they seen and heard the heart beat 144bpm and the crl size measured about rite for the dates we had in our head.

Looks like this pregnancy is going to be successful :) will feel more at ease in another couple of weeks at 12 week scan.

Wifes feeling sick but not actually been sick, still got sore boobies and very tired.

I'll give an update at 12 weeks, oh and Mary I thought your baby was due start of December not January ? our due date is 11th of December or around then

hi ladies and gentlemen [zx115]

glad to hear that everyone seems to be doing fine, despite the usual worries and lots of nausea and tiredness [zx108] :flowers:

i have just gotten a date for the nuchal scan (3rd of June) and am slightly worried about that: trying to think and feel what to do if one gets a DS risk warning or that something else would be wrong, but then the odds are quite small so i am trying to remain calm and in the zone.

red: seems a lot of ladies see two sacs but one heart beat and then go on to see two hart beats the next scan xfingers for you.

when we went for our first scan, we saw one sac and one lovely heartbeat, which is everything we ever wished for really and we are so lucky and we know that but at the same time got a bit surprised somehow as we had convinced ourselves that we would see two sacs and that twins would complete the family and we would not have to cycle again which would be such a relief. my husband looked at the screen and suddenly screamed: "there, there is a second one, see the sac" to the consultant who look and started to laugh and said, no that is a big blood vessel (it looked just the same to us) :teehee:

i wonder how much weight people have put on. I am 9 weeks, 3 days, so in week 10 and i have gained ~2-3 kg but according to everywhere i read this is dangerous and i should not have gained anything at all yet :goodnews: i am now worried i will do a catherine zeta-jones and put on 40 kg and that they will have to have a crane to get me up on the delivery table..

:xxx3: :xxx3:

Hey Mary, yeah think we gonna get one privately, tho now DH & I can't agree on how many weeks I should b, I say 7 weeks, he says 8 weeks, wot do u all think?? So glad it isn't a DVT, rest up & take care tho!!

Hope, major luck on ur scan 2morro, when I had scans @ 8 weeks before it wasn't internal but I think that all depends on who's doing the ultrasound & there preferances at that stage of pregnancy!! xfingers it's not internal!!

Hopeful, I wudn't worry bout how much weight u put on @ this stage, the main thing is ur baby is doing well!!

Hi all

Congrats Chris and wifey.

Ruby n biscuit - were about the same time, I'm eight weeks
this week. Second scan on Sat fir me, hoping all is going
well as I've been really unwell this week. I'm on the blandest food
possible which I hate!

Went away for our joint birthdays and sat down to dinner
and promptly felt green so hubby ate mine as well.

Hoppfull - thanks just gotta wait and see, had a friend who
saw nothing and then two at the next scan. If it is two it might explain
The rotten week I've had - LOL

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Bic- if ur 7 or 8 weeks a heart beat will be detected at this stage so u can have one anytime now! I had mine at 7 wk 2 days through my ivf clinic and the baby was measuring at 6 wk 4 days and the heart beat was very strong! I've read that they can pick it up from 6 wks so go for it Hun xxx

Hi girls

Congratulations to all the early January DD and welcome to you all!

Have been away for a while as both our parents are with us until Wednesday. We created a lovely photo card letting them know they will be grand parents again and added a photo of DH and I when we were little. OMG this created such big tears and happiness. It was a really emotional moment and cried my eyes out.

Started feeling nauseous as well, when I wKe up first thing and when I need food during the day, but it comes and goes. I still cannot eat and other time I have to eat lots.
I Also feel very uncomfortable sitting for long period of time, which is soo bad but hey had mother in law and mum looking after me :)

Hope I was told the scan is internal because they could see better. Sorry xx

Good luck to you all with your scans. I am going to see gp tomorrow too!

Your welcome bic, glad u can have ur scan! Ur like I was with the tests think I did six all in all but my clinic told me to step away from the clear blue dig and just get the ones that say neg or pos so that's what I did cos I was gettin worried cos I did one and it said 1-2 wks then I did one a few days later n it said 2-3 wks then again a few days later did one and it said 1-2 wks so I was panicking thinking my HCG levels where dropping and the clinic said step away from them lol so I did!

I can't believe I'm 11 weeks and 1 day it's going so quick xx

Hi all

Bic I know January seems so far away, I am also due the first week I think but will find our next week ar my first scan.
I have been to my gp who was thrilled for me and was already.contacted by the midwife so my first appointment is on 7 June.
This all happened this morning but since then I went to the toilet and wiped some pink blood.
I am now very worried. Is this supposed to happen? I called the clinic but had to leave a message so am waiting for them to call back.
Did this happen to any of you???

Thanks Mary

The clinic has just called back and I have to go to see them tomorrow as they brought my scan forward just to make sure. In the meantime I just have to rest so hopefully it will be ok.

I am only just 6 weeks though so am I going to hear the heartbeat and see something now?
