Hi girls not been on for a few days! I'm really struggling at the moment! I'm wearing travel sickness bands and that's took away me feeling sick but when I smell food I want to be sick, I'm struggling to eat and I feel so weak! I keep crying and I just want to sleep! I get married on Saturday and I'm worrying how I'm going to manage! I'm at the midwife tomorrow I'm hoping they can help x

I do hope you feel better soon - I don't think there is a great deal you can do about the sickness aside from some prescription medication from your GP if it's really bad?

Hi girls

Hope everyone has had a happy Easter! :easter5: :easter:

I went for my scan yesterday and we saw a little blueberry size foetus with a clear little heartbeat and I think it was the first time it really daunted on me that this might actually happen now. I was so happy I shed a tear and hugged the consultant [zx115] :rainbow:

Sorry to hear you ar e doing so poorly still Mary and with the wedding coming up :congrats: it must be Quite nerve wrecking. Hope you feel better soon, and I would switch gp if you can't communicate with him or her. I have several friends that have gone through what you are and they all got treatments, which does not remove it but helps a bit.

How is everyone else doing, Loved up, kel, red, hope, aly? Symptoms, thoughts worries or joy?

Hi All! I
am new here and delighted to say I am pregnant. Its week 4-5 and unfortunately
had been bleeding for last 7 days. I went to the hospital and had the scan.
Everything was fine just need bed rest. It seems like bleeding has stopped
today and I hope it will be fine tomorrow also.

My next scan is next Monday but I am due to back to
work this Tuesday. I just wonder if somebody who had experienced light bleeding
could give me advice should I stay in bed for few more days or its fine to go
to work if I won’t be bleeding tomorrow also. It’s my first pregnancy and it
all worries me so much.

Hi girls haven't been on for a while busy busy.

Very happy for Mary that the wedding went well, I'm also wearing sickness band that have helped.

AFM I have the back ache still its more annoying than anything else erm I'm at 9 weeks now and hoping everything is trundling along nicely, next scan not til May 27th. Midwife not until 17th May seems a long time but with all the other waiting we do I'm sure I'll manage.

Love to all.

Thank you very much Hoppful! But I had some spots today again. So staying in bed for the rest of week. Due to nexs scan 9th of May. Feel awful . Wish i could just enjoy my pregnancy. I wonder if somebody work while had light bleeding? Because when i asked in the hospital they said its ok to work. I did go one day and the bleeding was a bit more.
Read a lot and mostly it saying to have more rest. Why should i believe? Oh, so stressed

Hey Ruby and biscuit.

I think deciding when to announce the prg is personal. I don't believe that telling people early jinxes the pregnancy but I do think to tell everybody early can cause distress if the worse does happen (sorry to sound pessimistic)

We have shared it with parents, and very close friends. I will keep it that way until as late as i possibly can even into 20 weeks or so. (because i have immunology problems) I say this now but I might be desperate to tell everybody by 12 weeks

I have been booked in by a consultant at my local hospital for a scan on Tuesday, I will only be 4 weeks 5 days. Does anyone know if I can expect to see anything?

Kelly... Funny seeing you here :snigger:

Hey Kayleigh congrats!! welcome to the club hope you're feeling good.

Got my first scan tomorrow- excited and slightly nervous at the same time.
Hoping we get to see a little bean or two :-) not going to sleep
tonight.

Felt really rough this week -week 6 - thought my stomach/womb was imploding
on Wednesday- apparently chronic indigestion is normal, never knew that

Ruby& biscuit, i agree with kayleigh, it's a personal choice and telling people will not jinx the pregnancy, they usually say wait until 12 weeks as chance of miscarriage is more likely in the 1st 12 weeks of pregnancy then later. I told everyone i think at 6 weeks, but when ever you feel when the time is right for you :)

RED, good luck tomorrw for ur scan, i will be keeping a close eye on here for your news :) xfingers everything is ok xxx

Hiiiii Kayleigh :) x

AFM, nothing more to report other then im getting fatter by the day :) lol Im 10+4 tomorrow 12 weeks scan in 10 days time woohoo Then im going for a private scan around 15 weeks (14th June) for an early gender scan :)

Hi ladies

Well I'm back off my honeymoon! The flight was awful, I felt sick for the full three hours and the pain in my left leg was bad! I kept moving and going the loo and drinking plenty but still hurt! So I'm cancelling my holiday in aug can't handle that again! The food didn't go down to good either lol the smell made me run! My poor hubby! But the most important thing is we was together! Got a scan on Monday so fingers crossed all is still ok!

Hope everyone is ok and welcome to all new girls xxxx

Congrats Kayleigh!!!
I told three people at work and my parents. My best friend knew it from the begining but I prefer not to tell it other people till 12 weeks. This is how i feel. One of my friend didn't tell it till 14 or 16 weeks despite everybody could see her stomach. She kept saying no,no,no I just put some weight. : D And this was telling the person whose flat stomach made jealous all girls. :snigger:

I had two awful days. Bleeding was a bit more than usual and pain yesterday in low stomach on the right side. Had to take painkiller. Happy days DH is back from business trip feel more cheerful. :tipsy:
I see many girls have scan on Monday
good luck to all of us xfingers

Hi ladies

Sorry I've been a bit absent. I decided to stay away from the internet so that I wouldn't be googling all the time whilst we were waiting to see if the svan would be good news.

After the inital couple of days of bleeding I continued to bleed , but not heavily, for about a week. I had a lot of backache and the odd sharp pain so I was still very concerned. Although my sickness really kicked in and I lost some weight and couldn't eat and only just managed to drink, oh and my boobs became sensitive. I've got some sickness bands now and they are helping.

We felt really on edge wondering if or baby was still with us and on the day of the scan (yesterday) we were a bag of nerves. But thankfully a beautiful little heartbeat appeared on the screen. I absolutely sobbed my heart out, we were so relieved. So now I'm still taking things easy. The sonographer said there was a small bleed next to the sac but thats quite common.

I have another scan on Tuesday with my clinic as this one was with the EPAC. So roll on Tuesday.

Hope everyone is ok an welcome to all the new ladies. Congratulations Mary on your recent marriage. Hope you had an amazing day.

hi all,

Can i join too.
Congratulations to everybody on here happydance

We found out on 4/05/11 then went to work straight away so it was just really hard to realise what happened.
we still have not spoken to anybody about it so we just feel like if we are dreaming! i really need something that confimrs to me i am pregnant as i still dont realise and wish i could shout it to the world!!!

i think i am now 4 weeks and 6 days, but not too sure? the nurse told us to come back on 25/05 and i will then be 7 weeks. Is this the norme for the 1st scan? i
am just so impatient to find out if it is all ok and if we are expecting one ore two little babies, as we had 2 embies put back in!

How is everybody else feeling daily?
my symptoms come and go. i am hugely bloated and have started having an upset stomack yesterday.
Also, my boobies slightly hurt especially if i hug someone and i don't really have any appetite. other than that, the pain has now stopped, just the odd twinges.
oh and i have started being very tired about 8.00pm for the last 3 days now and will just fall deeply asleep and now way for DH to wake me up lmao

I hope you are all good and wishing you all a healthy pregnancy.

Hi Namea

I had ET on 6/4/11 and OTD was 25/4/11 so I am 6 weeks and 4 days!! I have a scan booked in for the 17/05/11 only a week away now and I cant wait time is going so slow! lol. Its been quite nice for me really though cos my sister has been trying to conceive for 2.5 years with no joy and then she has just conceived naturally in the same month as me so our due date is 2.5 weeks apart, lol can you believe 2 christmas babies!! lol This is our first child for both of us so will be nice to be on mat leave together and share experiences. Were constantly on the phone comapring symptoms! lol

Hi hope23

Thanks for the link which helped a lot.
This is nice for you and your sister, I am sure it will help you a lot.
My sister has 2 kids and went through ivf a week before me but it didn't work. She has taken it very well and will try again in a few weeks I think so we might be a few months apart!

Red this is great news for your little heartbeat :thumbsup2:
How far are you honey and what did you see?

I cannot wait to go for my scan and wish I could go earlier just to put my mind at rest. After 2ww I didn't think about any other dreadful wait...

So sorry to hear tha about your sister Namea, you just dont realise how many people infertility affects until hyou are in the situation yourself do you? When we started trying and then found that DH has low sperm count I never thought the same findings would be for my sisters partner and also DH brother. Hope your sister gets BFP soon. x

When is your scan? x

Hi hope23

Thanks. I did feel awful because she waited until I got my results not to put me down!
But she reassured me she was fine as she already had 2 beautiful children, so the rest was a bonus.

My scan is on 25/05 which is sooo long away!!!
We decided not to say anything to our parents until we see them next week, as they are coming to visit from abroad, but I feel like I am burying it as i am not talking about it. So it is weird.

Stress, stress, stress is back on ...

Wow this is amazing! I thought we would have to wait much longer to see all that!
This is so exciting. So I suppose the norm is first scan at about 6-8 weeks then the next one at 12 weeks?
What about if I want another one in between? Where can I go?
Does anybody know what to do for private scans ?

My first was at 7 wks..... Phone a private clinic and ask Hun they will advice u on what to do or even ask ur GP if they know!

After ur 7 wk scan u will get two off the NHS one at around 12 wk and then 20 wk x
