Hi
Anna we paid for our nuchal scan and got bloods done with it, the nhs up here are starting to do the nuchal with the dating scan but not til the middle of march and I would have been too late for it. We have nhs scan this fri at 13 weeks, may finally have to take the plunge and tell everyone then!

Am hoping my sickness passes fast as just booked holiday for next week, managed to throw up in the carpark at work today, think i got away with it, no CCTV, phew!

In a bid to make myself feel less tired, fat sick and spotty, just booked a manicure, a facial and a hairdressers appt pre holiday!, one day of work left hurrah, not that I actually counting the days down til maternity leave at all!

Hope you are are doing ok

Hi Gals

Great Scan photo Shell.

Hope you are all well and happy. I am currently at my mums in Norfolk with my little DGD Violet. We went to a farm & yes I stsyed away from sheep & lambs. Great big signs up anyhoo warning prego women to steer clear.

Nausea is getting worse, although not puked yet since last time. Belly is bloated & huge. Ovary pain is rarely there now & not as bad.
We are just so happy its unreal. Our happiness has shined all the more with the wonderful news that Sultry Sapphire & her DF are now preggo too. :dancing:
Anyhoo Violet is demanding I play with her.

Hey Anna thanks for asking for me, I have neglected the first trimester ladies recently things have been so busy at work am either there or sleeping!!

Scan is tomorrow morning at 9am and i will be 6wks and 4days. I am so nervous, as like quite a few girls I don't feel pregnant and still KW! watching for the dreaded spotting. I don't really feel like I have any symptoms - mostly feel knackered 24/7, headaches and I feel massive, I have a bigger belly than those who are 6months gone! And I had a natural FET so I can't blame it on the drugs?!

Please oh please let this little baby be okay xxxx

So please for all the ladies who have had reassuring scans I hope I can join u all tomorrow xxx

Hey ladies

Thanks for your lovely welcomes! Just been catching up and boy there has been a lot going on.............

Firstly a big congratulations to Sultry, fabulous to hear you got a BFP hun!! Hope you are relishing every fabulous minute of knowing you're pregnant

And happy twin news to you Karried, has it sunk in yet?!? Being doubly blessed must be a great feeling!!

Shell, your scan pic is amazing.....really clear and i'm not suprised you are carrying it round in your handbag for a peep whenever you want one! So cute!

Good luck for your scan tomorrow Confused!

Hello to everyone else, hope you are all doing ok despite the sickness, hunger, heartburn, tiredness and bloatedness!! I know exactly how you feel, i've been experiencing a little bit of everything too  However the past couple of days I have just been a miserable cow, I could literally bite everyone's head off and am finding it hard to control......my OH bares the brunt (as they always do) but hey ho, he better learn how to deal with it :snigger:

Off to have something else to eat.........the saying 'a minute on the lips and a lifetime of the hips' springs to mind!! Oh well!!

Confused - GOOD LUCK with your scan today. It is good that it is early so you don't have th ewhole day to get worked up!! Looking forward to hearing your news later on today.

AFM - first couple of days at work have been OK. Now fully into the swing of things. DH has given me his cough, and I am hacking away like a 60 a day smoker. Anyone know any good remedies that are safe to take? I'm worried as the last two times I've had a cough, it has turned into an infection:( Difficult as the steriods I take suppress mu immune system so there is little there naturally to fight it off.

Hope you are all well and have a great day.

No embryo, just the sack. Got bloods done today, repeated on Friday to check for a rise. Back on Tuesday for a scan or to discuss options dependent on Fridays result. Devastated, lost for words. Don't know what to say or do I feel so numb.

Thanks girls, my scan was at 6weeks +4, the monographer said it could just be too early to detect anything. They want me back on Tuesday at 7 +2 but are checking for a hcg rise in the mean time. I have googles it and there is a lot of women out there who had a scan at 6+4 who were unable to see anything other than the sac and went back 2 weeks later and seen a heart beat. I am holding onto that glimmer of hope, it's the only thing I can do.

Wish I had listened to hear the dating of the scan but I couldn't concentrate for crying. I hope I will be one of those women that scans too early to tell. Please please please xxxx

Confused, like you said, there is a glimmer of hope and you have to hold on to it. My clinic also said that because these early scans are done internally they have to set the machine at a much lower power so it doesn't harm the embryo(s) and that in itself can affect what you are able to see.

Thinking of you and sending hugs :cuddle

Shell and Confused. My heart goes out to you both. I can only hope and wish for you that your next scans show a different story.
I think this is everyones worst fear and i can not begin to imagine how you feel.
I am out of words now but please know I am thinking of you both.

AFM - On mob in hospital. Not for the baby but had such bad palpatations last night DH brouight me to A and E.
Good job as it showed I had a rapid heart rate and I was whisked off in an ambulance to Watford.
They believe the pregnancy has accelerated my over active thyroid (this can happen a lot).
I have to change my meds for a more pregnancy friendly version however I also have to take beta blockers which carry as small risk.
I shall be monitored every fortnight though.

Hope everyone else is ok

Hi All,

Shell and Confused - so sorry to hear you are worrying. It is an awful time and in some ways, worse than the 2WW! The thing is that you finally think you have got somewhere only for someone to put a dampner on things. Try and remain as positive as you can - your little one's need you so much to be happy. I am sure you will be both be fine and am thinking of you lots.

Taxi - how scary. Hope you are feeling better now? I suppose the benefits of the beta blockers will outweigh the risk. Anything for baby!!

Confused - all the very best for tomorrow, I wil be thinking of you and hoping for the best possible outcome. x

I hope everyone is OK?

I am fine. Was very tired at work today, came home and slept for nearly 2 hours!!! i have also worked out that my boob pain is directly related to how hydrated I am - the more hydrated I am the worse the pain is and vice versa. So naturally i am now making sure I am super hydrated! I NEED SYMPTOMS!!!!!

Nearly the weekend. Blisssssss!!!!!!! :xxx3:

Hey ladies just to update

16 DPO - 106
31 DPO - 12923 (I got it wrong earlier)
33 DPO - 17000

Midwife says that it has increased but it doesn't give her a clear picture, am I right in saying that when levels reach 10,000 it can take up to 72-96 hours to double? I didn't want to seem like a smart arse and question on it?

So I am still here in limbo land and back on monday for more bloods (it should double over the weekend I hope) and a possibly scan through the week if needed. I will be 7 weeks tomorrow so I hope Monday will be good news. No it will be GREAT NEWS! :)

Thank you for all your support. Where would I be without my FZ girls xxx

Hey Confused,

those levels sound really good, i read that when they get into the 1000's (not 10,000s) they can take up to 96 hours to double, i had one done on a Monday and it was 3000 then on the Thursday and it was 8000 so it defiantely wasn't doubling every 24-48 hours, took longer

when is your next scan?

Hi confused

My knowledge on HCG numbers is very limited. All I do know and what my clinic said is blood HCG will only tell you so much. A scan will tell you everything.
I think my lovely you will remain in limbo until your scan.
I do hope all turns out well for you and not all scans can pick up a baby or heartbeat before 7 weeks.
Sometimes baby hides and doesn't play ball and sometimes it means the equipment isn't that great.
I don't want to give you false hope here but until that scan you will not know anything for def.
Good luck my lovely. My thoughts are with you both.

Thank u Anna and taxi xx

Anna it will depend on what results the bloods give on Monday as to what the next step will be. She said a scan at some point in the week so I might try for the end of the week and then I will be 8 weeks on Saturday

Hey Confused, xfingers for next week. Will be thinking of you. I feel really dumb but i dont know what your blood results mean. My clinic never did HCG levels, only had 2 scans and then i was discharged. Could that be cos i was NHS funded?? Anyway, love your positive attitude and could really do with some myself right now.

Maybe it's just hormones but i'm feeling a bit down just now. I know it's nothing compared to you, Confused and Shell and i feel like i need a slap. Got to snap out of it!!

Anyway, it's friday so here's to a good weekend for everyone. Hope the weather stays like this, lovely and sunny here in Norfolk today.

Hey Rallygirl I left Norfolk wed morn. My parents live in Martham near G Yarmouth.

Confused - I too never had HCG bloods done just a scan. It sounds like your clinic are looking after you though which is great.

I am getting out of hospital in a month. Wahey. Just waiting on my meds and discharge letter.
Can't wait to escape.

Taxi, we're at other side of Norfolk over on the west, DH is in RAF and we're at Marham which is about 13 miles from King's Lynn. I'm not a native of the area but I've enjoyed being here and despite people being quite rude about Norfolk folk, i think the locals are great and it's a lovely part of the UK.

We're actually posted in a few months up to Scotland, which is my homeland. Quite looking forward to baby being born in Scotland.

Hope you've made a typo in your last message Taxi and you're not staying in hospital for a "month". :S Bet you're so glad to be heading home.

Hi all, just gonna be brief, dont want to be doom and gloom on here for you. Nothing had changed at my scan today so im basically waiting a week to see if natural m/c occurs, if not then back next friday to discuss medical management options.

Most of you here were in the JJ's with me so thanks for all your support. We'll be back on the rollercoaster around June hopefully.

I wish all of you the best with your pregnancies, lets have lots of happy healthy little babies

Shell I'm so so sorry, I can only imagine what you must be going through, I know words are of little consolation, but keep strong, you've done it once, you'll do it again babes.
Confused, I'm rooting for you girl, those number sound good, you're doubling above average, xfingers for a beautiful fluttery hb next week, you can do it PMA PMA PMA.
Taxi, staying in hospital for a month????? Silly mare, I don't think so! Learn to use your crackberry properly :snigger:
Can't see any further back atm, but I hope all you girlies are having a lovely Friday and counting down the hours to the weekend.
AFM, I'm not counting the hours, because that means less hours til I go back to work on Monday!
I've got to make a yukky trip to the vets tonight with my mum's ancient wolfhound. He is convinced he is a rastafarian dog, he has many many dreadlocks. He hates being brushed! It has so far taken me 3 hours to brush him and he is only half done! But there is no way I'm taking a rasta to the vets, it's bad enough going with a 3 ft tall creature that sits on the chair at the side of you, let alone one that looks like it should be listening to Bob Marley and smoking weed!
Anyhoo, better go make him look something like what he is meant to be!
blowkiss

Alie - it's not the nausea - it's the bum sting that'll get ya!!! lmao
I had a horrible dream just now - dreamt I started to bleed so when I woke up it was the first thing I checked and all is OK. It was just sooooooo vivid. The only way I knew it was a dream was that I had the icon for Apple painted on the inside of my hoohaa.!!! So up nice and early today.

DH is not here, he's having a night out in London with a couple of mates, one of whom is about to move to Australia, which I am quite glad about as I don't really like him. Enjoying the peace and quiet. Just one more week until my next scan.

Have a lovely weekend ladies!!
