Hey girls!

Hey guess what I am STILL sick!!!!! AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! X(

I have had a slight brainwave that I hope works and stops the sickness as I am determined to stop moping and get on top of this! I have decided to stop the pregnacare tablets as I am concerned these might be making me more sick! Not sure if it will work but it's worth a shot! I will do anythin to stop this sick feeling!!! :bawl:

I have my scan tomorrow and have also booked an appointment with my doctor to register pregnancy and discuss sickness. Does anyone know whether you need a full bladder for the first scan? Or do you just turn up?

Love to all girls and welcome to the newbies! Congrats on getting to this stage! bigkiss

Morning Shell

I was told to empty my bladder before my 2 scans but i bet you anything some of the other girls were told to go with a full bladder for their scans. Seems the different clinics have very different ways of doing things. Best phone just to make sure.

Out of curiosity, when do you all take your progesterone gel?? I was told to take mine in the evenings and then walk around for at least 15mins to get it all absorbed. I've only got a few weeks left then it's no more crinone!!! happydance

Hope everyone is having good positive day. Feeling really queasy and gassy today but i'm not going to complain cos i know it's nothing compared to you Shell. Hope you really can find something to help the sickness.

Hiya to everyone else this morning.

Take care

Hi Rallygirl!

I will ring clinic and check...thanks for replying though!

You complain if your sick hun! I know how horrible it is and I hope it isnt too bad for you! Sending a big hug to help you get better :hugs:

I didn't have to take the gel. Had to take pessaries and Iw as advised to do those up until first scan. Although I have felt soooo poorly I was naughty and stopped them yesterday. Only 2 days early! Was sick of wearing pads and wanted to try and stop the amount of hormones circulating round my body! Anything to stop the sickness!!!!!!!!! I even said a little prayer last night!

I'm sure there are people on here (I think Taxi!) takes the gel so you should be able to get some advise!

Lots of love

Hey ladies,

Shell, I went with a full bladder but they told me to empty it! I am taking cyclogest twice a day and been told to carry on to week 12.

Rally girl, looks like my nausea is back as well, I felt so sick this morning I actually tried to make myself sick as thought it would make me feel better, I wasn't and it didn't! don't envy you Shell!

Daisy, best of luck for your scan, hoping for lovely little heartbeats for you

Hello ladies - thank you for your well wishes.
We had our scan annndddddddddddddddddddd..............................................

We saw a heartbeat too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh boy!! It was really the most amazing this I have ever seen in my life. It was a TV scan as still only just 6 weeks. When the magic wand went in I couldn't see anythingbut then he said "put your hands under your bum, I think I just saw the heartbeat" Just amazing, there it was, flickering away. WOW!!
Next scan is in 2 weeks.
I will pop back later this evening with personals but right now I just need to go and calm down. So the psychic sisters were not totally right, but they got some of it right. Only time will tell if it is girl!!

Speak soon lovely ladies

Taxi,

I totally understand the shitting yourself, but you will be absolutely fine, you have loads of symptoms and they are all good signs your Hcg Levels are rising therefore you will have at least one lovely little heartbeat, I know saying try not to worry is pointless, but it WILL be good news

what time is your scan?

Thank you for al your well wishes. Think i have calmed down now. I had (like Anna) convinced myself that there would be nothing there. Now it feels so real.

Taxi - You know what? I think that is just GREAT that your scan has moved forwards, that's one less day of worrying for you. Like the others have said, you have had loads of symptoms so you will be FINE, can't wait for your update tomorrow.

Mashy -my scan was TV so empty bladder. Next one at 8 weeks will also be empty bladder. Gutted you are nauseus. The midwife today told me that the steoids I am on for my immune tx will mask the sickness so i am sooooo happy about that:) Looks like there is a benefit to having a puffy-steriod face after all. Is it your scan tomorrow as well? If so, gooooood luck. I wonder if you have TWO heartbeats????

Ali Bird - ooooh, not long for you either. this is a scantastic week!!! How are you feeling about it?

Anna - how are you (apart from the nausea?) feeling today? Have you stopped smiling from your scan yet?

Rallygirl - I don't take the gel, I take 200mg cyclogest twice a day. Up my hoohaa. It actually isn't all that messy, just a teeny white stain. My cons told me I will be taking that until 16 weeks. Blimey!! I know that is a long tie but he is the miscarriage specialist so i'll go with that. I'll just buy new knickers when we are done:) Love an excuse to shop:)

CocaCola, Karried, Confused & Nicster- hope you are well?

Dogs - YAY for your scan!!!!!!!!!!! Isn't it a fantastic feeling? There is such a good vibe going round the board at the moment! How are you feeling??

Alie - oh 2 WEEKS???? really? That must feel like forever away:( We'll have to think of soething for you to while the time away. i suggest you knit booties !!!

Little Miss Hopeful - how were things at work today? What was the fire damage like in the end, and how is the man that got hurt? And how are you? ooooh so many questions......

To anyone I have not mentioned - I am sorry I ddin't mention you by name, i tried my best to include all, please don't take it personally!! Hope you are OK??

RIGHT, that's me done. I have trigger finger after all that typing!! Just had a lovely nap on the settee with the dog, now contemplating what to have for dinner.

Have a lovely evening, hope the sickness stays away......

Good luck for your scans tomorrow taxi and mashy, I will be looking forward to seeing some fab pics :clap

I am a little nervous about fridays scan, not having an early scan this time is really hard as it seems like forever since I had my BFP.

I cannot believe how big I am getting so early on this time, I think I was about 16 weeks before I looked like this last time.

Hi girls - I m having a small freak out!
I have developed sharp stabbing pains in both my right and left side of my tummy - mainly in my left - and I am getting worried!
I should be 5 + 3 today and I am booked in for a scan on Monday.
I am just nervous because these pains are quite sore!

I did carry something a bit heavy earlier and I am just hoping I haven't done anything to cause any damage!
Has anyone else had these?

Yes!! I had them yesterday and the day before, to the extent i thought i was having an ectopic. They nearly had me doubled over in pain. Turns out it's just ligament pain.
Keep an eye on it though and if you get any spotting get yourself checked out.

Taxi & Mashy - Thinking of you both today. Sending a whole bunch of PMA to you. Remember - this is a SCANtastic board!!!

Karried - thank you:) Slept well for the first time in ages last night.

I'm off for lunch with a friend today, and must clean the kitchen!! DH and I made a long list of things that we need to do before the birth. It was great, ended up in us arguing!! (and we never argue!) Still, we sorted it and will be getting a new bathroom first - LUSH!!

Well, have a good day. I will be popping back looking for two important updates!!

Morning girls,

Sorry I haven't been about a couple of days but work has been manic and haven't had a chance to sign in.

Congrats Anna on your heartbeat - I am so thrilled for ya : D xx

Welcome to coca cola and any other newbies I have missed.

Daisy - congrats on your heartbeat hun - great news x x work is ok and they are investigating it as one of our aseteline tanks blew up. The lad who was injured is ok - minor burn on his hand and face.

Taxi - Good luck for your scan today - hope you see that lovely heartbeat x x

AFM - Well sicky feeling is pretty constant which is unpleasant (as I hate feeling sick) and boobs still extremely sore. The worst thing at the moment is sever bloatedness - I can wake up in the morning and all is well and by the time I get home at 5.30pm I am so bloated my stomach has expanded 3 inches (DH made me measure). Anyone else have this?

Good luck to anyone with scans today/tomorrow (mine is tomorrow morning too so I'm so scared).

Hon Stop worrying. I would call my clinic for the sizes as we may be going by sac size but I am sure the nurse told me 23mm was the baby.
Sizes will vary though. It is the heartbeat that counts.

GOOD LUCK ALI FOR TOMORROW!!!! :goodluck:

Congratulations to you Taxi, thats fantastic news!!!

And TWINS for Shell!! Brilliant!!!!

Wow, such good news on here!!!

I have to do my 2nd official test tomorrow, assuming its BFP, they will give us a date for a scan.

Have done 5 tests in total :snigger: 2 last Friday, 1 Monday morning, 1Tuesday night and 1 Wednesday morning, so hopefully all ok tomorrow.

Still dont have huge symptoms, starting to feel a bit more tired now, sleeping very well at night - apart from getting up to wee! Have a bit of loss of appetite and have gone off some foods, the thought of eating them makes me feel sick. BUT no spotting or anything, so I am still pregnant unless proven otherwise!!!

Cannot wait to have my scan and be where you all are!!!

9am, so am hoping to get on asap with some good news :clap

I worried DH last night as was pointing at my little bump saying that I have eaten too many pies because I didn't start showing until about 16 weeks last time, so I said that if there are 2 in there then I would grow faster and his face was a picture :snigger:

I don't care, one, two or twenty, so long as the heartbeat is strong and LO is healthy, then I am a happy bunny (xfingers it is just one though :snigger: )

Loving the PMA nic and I think that 5 BFPs tells you the result, now step away from the tests :snigger: You sound exactly like me last time so enjoy being relatively symptom free

Good luck for tomorrow Little Miss, lets hope that tomorrow proves to be as good a scan day as today has been :clap

blowkiss

Such fantastic news on those scans girls!!!! :congrats: Everyone is so lovely and positive just now, great vibes!!!

Anna, i know exactly what you mean about the sizes hun. My little bean was 12mm at 8weeks last week which is considerably smaller than the girls have said today but like you, i've looked at foetal development charts and there's absolutely nothing wrong with 12mm at that stage. To be honest i am stressing a wee bit but i dont really know why. Lets try not to worry and just concentrate on helping our little beans grow big and strong!!! baby2

Hope everyone else is ok. I've just baked a chocolate cake and that is my focus for this evening. DH is out and will probably be in a shocking state when he gets in later so i will be having a very generous helping of cake after my tea, all to myself. Still feel queasy but i will force it down, ha ha

Take care girls

Hi girls. Haven't posted Here before as was being a bit paranoid about jinxing things but was just having a read at what was going on here. when I was 5 weeks everyone here was about 10-12 so i didn't really join in. Anyway my reason for posting was that I queried sizes too at scan and discovered some clinics measure sacs if less than 7 weeks and some measure the baby blob!! My sac was a few days ahead at 8 weeks at 31 mm and baby was 13 mm which was dead on for 7w2 d. So don't fret some will be sacs some will be little ones. At 7 weeks should be 11-14 mm. And as scans magnified so much it's quite easy to be a couple of mm out!
Am now 12 weeks and starting to relax a bit so keep going girls, you will all be there before you know it!!

Liz

Ladies, I think that unless the doctor was concerned or said anything along the lines of the baby being on the small size, you really shouldn't worry.

p.s. does anyone else get out of breath really easily? I read somewhere that the progesterone does this. We walk every night after doing the gel and sometimes my breathing is quite heavy! I am sure I am not that unfit!

Elizmac - Hi & I understand the nerves. You are only here for a bit though before you will be off to the 2nd trimester. Congratulations on your pregnancy. I have kind of followed your story from Dec thread & saw your concern that it was another chemical. I am over the moon for you that you are now at the 12 week stage. :)

Nicster - The pessaries are wonderful eh. I do get a little out of breath & my Tummy Tum Tum is sooooooooo BIG I look 5 months already.

Karried - Monday will be here before you know it.

Anna after much googling it appears that MAshy & I were given Sac sizes or we are remembering sac sizes more as they are bigger :)

RallyGirl - Gis some Choco Cake PAweeeeeeeease!

Good luck to the ladies having scans.
Hope everyone else is ok
