Hi All,

Anna, Ali & Taxi - It's a deal - no more freaking out! I'll just xfingers and hope for the best.

On the plus side the pains aren't too bad today and I finally have morning sickness, well actually I've been haveing nausea all day but that's good right!?!?

Taxi - I would get scan moved to 7 weeks hun - not sure why they making you wait till 8 weeks as you can see the heartbeat/s at 7 weeks. If it will put you at ease quicker I would go for it hun :)

Anna - I am getting the fatigue thing too - can't sleep either which doesn't help :-(

Btw does anyone have any experience with an incompetent cervix - apparently I am high risk of this due to some pre cancerous cells treatment on my cervix several years ago.

Hi Anna - I am calling them tomorrow & hoping to get in next Fri. My GP just called with my new thyroid dosage requirements & is reffering me to a specialist. No point in all of this really until the scan has confirmed things so I am defo going to make the call tomoz.

Tina - I had an abnormal smear but mild CN1 so I didnt have to have the surgery. I am actually back for a colposcopy next month. What it does mean for you is that a natural birth may be out of the question & you will be given a C section. This will all be discussed with your Midwife anyhoo & I am sure she will put your mind at rest. I am not 100% sure I am right here but I assume it can only mean that.

Evening ladies!!

Just have time for a quick on tonight. All is well in Daisyville, I just have a symptom question - anyone else got rosy cheeks? My cheeks have been rosy-flushed for a while now, so much so that people have started to comment! Anyone?? it doesn't bother me but I just wondered.

Ahhhhhhhhhh, half term starts tomorrow - we don't have the kids in either tomorrow as we have a training day. My head has hired a couple of therapists and offered her teachers either a hallf hour facial or reflexology. I will have the facial as not sure that reflexology would be advisable at this point.

Night night...........need sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!!!

Morning girls

Taxi - I had two rounds of the treatment and they took away pretty much all my cervix the second time but it was 5 years ago so I was hoping it would have healed somewhat??!!! Hoped they would put that stitch in and then let me deliver naturally as don't really want a caesarian (wanted to experience the birth) but if it's best for the baby I will x x x I will let you know what they say when I get to see them - thanks hun x x

Alie - welcome to the deal hun x x

Confused - everyone's scans differ depending on their clinic - mine is at 7 weeks xx

Daisy & Shell - enjoy your hols and nice one with the facial Daisy :)

Shell - Sorry about the sickness hun :-( mine is just nausea most of the day but I can still eat food x x

Have a good day everyone

Hi ladies,

hope you are all doing well and not feeling too stressed or sick - seems to be one or the other!

Taxi - Deal or no deal unfortunatley I am still very very anxious so have moved my scan forward to next Tuesday, am v. v. nervous about it but trying to keep it together!

Can't believe how many teachers are here, and havign time off for facials, I am obviously in the wrong profession :winking:

Have a nice weekend planned, dinner at James's cousins tonight, am bringing desert from the English Cheesecake Company (google it it is AMAZING) then seeing my FIL who is back from his trip of a lifetime to Australia, then a housewarming party on Sat night, fancy dress religious theme which will be fun, i will probably want to leave by about 10pm though! good job I have a cold as can blame it on that :)

on a more worrying note, a girl at work has just been diagnosed with shingles, am really worried as you can catch chicken pox from this and i don't think i have had it, not sure what to do if she comes back when still has it? [zx037]

Morning Ladies

Not sure how i feel today following scan yesterday. Got very mixed feelings. Only one emby is developing. He/she is growing really nicely and there's a lovely wee heartbeat pounding away but the other emby is not progressing. Last week there was 2 good heartbeats but the nurse was very unsure about one of them cos the yolk sac was enlarged and that is never a good sign apparently.

Taxihome, not sure i can deal at the moment. The nurse at the clinic said that what we ideally want is the non-progressing emby to just be absorbed and maybe i'll have a bit of spotting and my lovely healthy one can carry on growing. BUT, there is a chance the non-progressing emby could break away and take the whole pregnancy with it. I'm terrified!!!! The nurse said there was no need to take things extra easy but to try and carry on as normal. I've been discharged from my clinic cos there is nothing more they can do. It really is up to nature now. Luckily the emby that's not growing is lying beneath the healthy one and so we're praying it just falls away and leaves the other untouched. My next scan will be with the midwives at 12 weeks unless of course the worst happens beefore then. Just got to wait now. Our minds haven't been put to rest at all.

I honestly think that those of you who are not having your first scan till 8 wks should just try and hold out. I kind of wish that i hadn't had that scan last week and seen the 2 heartbeats. The nurse said that this kind of thing can happen anytime with natural conceptions but because you dont have your first scan till12 weeks usually, you'd never know the pregnancy started out as twins.

Well, just needed to get that off my chest. I'm going to do everything i can to stay positive and be healthy and keep my lovely little emby growing. He/she is the size of a kidneybean (so cute!!) and we could see little limb buds. So that is what i have to focus on and keep going.

Good luck everyone with scans coming up. I hope i haven't freaked anybody out but need to share these things so i can get to grips with everything.

Not long now for you guys who are teachers, just got to get to the end of today!!!

Ahh we are all having a no deal day.
I had a poo & after wiping my front had 2 spots of pinky/orangey/brown on the tissue. Not red, not a lot at all, hardly any infact but it has freaked me out. I have left a message with the clinic to move my scan forward. I am petrified now. I knew when I got this BFP it was too good to be true.

RAllygirl - What a worrying time for you. Can you not get a scan from your local EPU or Hospital before 12 weeks. That is such a scary wait. I couldnt do it. You are very brave.
I  that your body absorbs the twin & the other pregnancy carys on developing.

Anna Good luck for tuesday honey. I shall be thinking of you.

Miss Hopeful - As soon as you see your Midwife she will be able to put your mind at rest. :)

Thanks for the  girls. I've just been for a long walk to try and clear the cobwebs. Pretty cold and windy so it did the job.

Taxihome, sorry you're having a stressful morning, my first scan was bang on 7 weeks so they should be able to have a good look next friday. xfingers everything will be fine. I know many women who have spotted through their entire pregnancy and all was well but as we all know on here, we're all experts at worrying!!!

Who knows, maybe when i tell my GP what has happened he may recommend a slightly earlier scan when he does my referall to the midwives. Here's hoping.

To be honest i find the nausea quite comforting, at least it's a normal pregnancy symptom so in a way it reassures me. I know some of you have been pretty stressed out cos some of your symptoms seemed to stop for a while. Hopefully we all have suitably nauseous weekends and try to chill out a bit and keep healthy.

Have a good one folks!!!

Rallygirl - exactly the same thing happened to me - 2 hb at 6 week scan, 1 at 8 weeks.

I got a teeny tiny bit of spotting but nothing serious. I had additional scans at 10 and 12 weeks (because I was already in hospital with sepsis) and all is going well - just try and believe that your body knows what it is doing and that this is more common than anyone knows...

In a rush but din't want to read and run

Rallygirl - I am so saddened to read what you are going through, it must be a stressful time for you and DH. i know it is easier said than done but you must try to keep your mind off it as the stress will be no good for the emby that is progressing. I  that your body sorts it out and the second emby gets absorbed. Big hugs xxx

Taxihome - Totally understand why you want to bring your scan forwards. Spotting is so scary. Silly i know but did you perhaps over-strain? That could (maybe) cause the spotting? how is the ovary pain, has it susbsided? hang in there hun xxx

sorry was on my phone... i meant if ur scan was 7 weeks after your ec that would make 9 weeks on your scan date...as i said sorry if u already new this

rally..so sorry to hear about your scan sounds like ur strong little embie is doing really well tho! and hopefully things will occur so the other embie is absorbed and the strong one gets stronger :)

hope everyone is well, and those deals sound like a brill idea!

afm had our scan today 12 wks +2 which i thought would be a dating scan but appears not, the scan was to make sure all was well so they could do bloods for the results to be ready when we see the twins specialist next week , who will then re scan go through things in detail and give us our official due date...really hope they dont put us bk, but glad to see we are gonna be well looked after as looks like we see the twins midwife for scans every 4 wks, very reasuring! x

Taxi and Anna - great news on getting your scan moved forward! I'm excited for you! Taxi don't worry about the spotting! I am sure its nothing to panic about my lovely! Stay positive!

Rallygirl - Hope that your healthy little embie stays strong and your body absorbs the other! everything works out well for you!

Daisy - Hope you're facial went well today and enjoy half term next week!

AFM I am feeling worse than ever today! My lovely mum and dad just popped round with some home made chicken soup trying to force feed me. I havent eaten much since last Sat due to permanently feeling sick since then. It lasts all day and all night and is really getting me down. Guess I'm just really weak from not eating anything other than toast for a whole week.

I am going to ring the clinic tomorrow to see what they recommend as my mum said sickness shouldn't be lasting 24/7!!

I feel like I am being the biggest wimp and winger and I hate it! I can't remember a time when I didn't feel sick!!?!

On the plus side I am on half term now so I have next week off work which I'm really glad off.

It was a real struggle teaching today. I spent the first part of the morning running to the loo and our school has a very long corridor!!! I was sick this morning and thought I might feel better but nope!

Hope everyone else isn't suffering too.

Love to all....sorry to anyone I've missed xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi Shadow - glad scan went well. Anna and I have added the 2 Weeks on already. :)

Daisy is this you now at the furthest point,

Mashy poor yopu feeling Ick. Mine comes in waves but was worse today. Still not being physicaly sick yet tho ;)

No more spotting from me and it was tiny to be fair. It could have been some old crinone I forced out when I strained. I am not gonna worry about it unless it starts up again and more of it.

Hope everyone else is well. Xx

Morning Ladies!!

Today is a big day for me - officially the furthest I have managed to get. Just 4 days until my scan so we will know for sure then.

I still have incredibly rosy cheeks. Anyone else getting this? I also think my nips are getting bigger - my DH called them fried aggs last night :winking:

Taxi - glad your spotting has stopped. It must have been too my strainage!!

I was going to take the dog to training today but it is absolutely chucking it down so think we are going to curl up on he settee, watch soe films and then when there is a break in the weather take him down the beach.

A question for you all - how much water are you all drinking? I am worried i am drinking too much, which is up to 3 1/2 litres a day but if I don't drink that much, i am thirsty.

Take care

xx

Congrats Daisy, you must be so chuffed with yourself for getting this far. I always have rosy cheeks so dont think mine are any rosier than normal. I'm sure my nipples are bigger. DH says my boobs are def bigger. They're quite big in the first place so i'm a bit worried about just how big they're going to get. I'm going to end up with enormous melons, shouldn't complain i suppose, some women pay thousands of pounds to have huge boobs.
I know for a fact i'm not drinking enough water but i do drink decaf tea and coffee and diluting juice throughout the day and my toilet antics are driving me so mad i cant think about drinking more water. I'm still peeing about every hour and we cant go out anywhere without me needing to go for a pee and i'm up in the middle of the night every night.

Have a great weekend folks. Weather here is pants too but at least it's not snowing!!!!

Hey ladies I hope your all enjoying your pregnancies!

I am 5weeks today and have ended up with the most horrendous cold I have been coughing an spluttering since Tuesday and have beendrinking lots of water and taking paracetamol but had to phone NHS 24 this morning as I just couldn't breathe anymore. I think I was being over cautious an have been sent home from local out of hours being told to use vicks vapour rub and a hot bath - eh hello didn't u hear me wen i said I was PREGNANT! have been getting bad stabbing pains at the left side of my floof so I am going to have a duvet day and feel sorry for myself.

Hope everyone is well

Hey girls!!

Taxi - glad the spotting has stopped!

Anna and Confused - Sorry to hear you have colds.......Hope they shift soon!

Daisy - I keep getting flushed resulting in rosy cheeks too.........maybe its our increased body temps........prob nothing to worry about hun :o)

AFM - Well I feel worse than ever today and really miserable! I am constantly feeling really really sick! I rang clinic this morn. The nurse said it sounds like I have hyperemesis and that if it gets any worse I might end up in hospital on a IV drip! I havent eaten for a week so I guess its making me weaker and weaker! Feel like shit!!! On the plus side they have moved my scan forward to next Thurs.......the nurse said at least I will know one way or another whether its twins making me sooooo sick!

Anyway I have zero energy and cant do anything for fear of being sick....off to lie on the sofa xxxxxxxxx

Hi All,

I am coming to join you after getting our FIRST EVER BFP yesterday!!! happydance
Feel very excited, but mainly still cant believe its really true and am also very worried something might go wrong. But coming on here, it seems everyone feels the same. Guess we have been through so much and thought it wouldnt happen for so long, we cant really believe it has happened!!

I have to do another test on Friday, then call the clinic, and assuming its also BFP, they will give me a date for a scan between 35-42 days (about 7 weeks). She really confused me when I called, I said am I 4 weeks, she said no, you are 18 days. She was a bit crap actually, told me not to get too excited. Meany!

Anyway, from what you all say and when I put my EC date into an online tool, it makes me 4 weeks and 5 days.

Hello to little miss hopeful, taxihome, anna14, *daisy*, shell, confused.com and karried from the JJ/FF. Lovely to see you all here and looking forward to sharing your journeys.

Bought 3 books yesterday!! :snigger: 2 books and 1 pregnancy diary. Dont want to get too carried away, BUT I also want to enjoy this and have wanted to buy one of those books for years!!!

We have old one of my friends and one of DH's - as they were the main ones who have been there for us. We are going to tell DH parents and my sister if BFP is ok next week, then everyone else at 12 weeks. DH works with his dad, so its quite hard for him to keep it hidden.

Have you all told people at this stage? Its hard when you have treatment isnt it, to keep it to yourselves.

Congratulations Nicster and welcome to 1st tri chat. Cant believe that nurse at your clinic told you not to get excited, you're right, what a meany.

Anyway, you'll find we're all feeling general queasiness (some worse than others) and have sore boobs and peeing a lot and all sorts of other symptoms.

Keep those lovely positive thoughts up and enjoy!!!

Sorry, meant to say get well soon to Anna and Confused. And Mashy, i cant complain about my wee bit of nausea. I really feel for you and hope there's something that you can take. Eating seems to curb my nausea so i'm snacking all day long. Gonna be the size of a house before i even get to 12 weeks!!!

Anyone else feeling under the weather :poorly: Hope you start to feel better soon.

Hey Ladies,

:congrats: Nicster on joinging us all here, can't believe how mean your nurse was ! I have ordered 3 books for me and 3 books for my DH, none turned up yet though!

Shell, hope you get some relief, you really are going through the mill you poor thing, wow exciting if twins though :)

I have told my parents when i was having a freak out about twins (which btw am kicking myself now, i would kill to find 2 healthy little heartbeats on Tuesday) my Mum had twins and my Dad's a Doctor so they had lots of advice, other than that just our best friends who knew we were having TX.... worrying have told too many people now though!

Taxi, Rallygirl, Hazy, Tina, Allie &Daisy, hope you are all having lovely weekends, am just about to get hair done, then dressing up as a Nun for a fancy dress party, it will be hard being the only sober one no doubt... :wine:

How lovely that the first tri group is getting bigger and bigger!!

:congrats: To Nicster - great to have you over here. And don't listen to your clinic - DO get excited, you are PREGNANT!!!!

Taxihome - I am so glad you spotting has stopped, but you are relieved. Know how you feel about your scan. Whilst we have been excited and stuff, we have held back a little bit until our scan, then we can start to be happy.

Rallygirl - with you on the wangers. Mine are of ample proportions so I dread to think how big they will end up!!! DH isn't complaining though lmao

anna - have a great time at the party - nuns on the run eh? Sounds fun!!! My scan is on Wed so no doubt no sleep on Tues!!!

Mashy - so bummed for you that you are StTILL so ill. Hope your docs can sort something out for you soon. [zx108] Big hugs x

I had a lovely walk on the beach earlier with DH and [zx145] who is only just now dry! I'm not as exhausted as I was yesterday but still pretty tired. Eaten a ton of junk but I don't care today. Chicken en croute for dinner though - YUMMY!! Well ladies, enjoy the rest of your weekends. Hope your symptoms aren't too bad!!!

xx

Hello all,

Congratulations to recent BFPs!!!

Very exciting!!

I am now 12 weeks and 3 days...have to wait till 13 weeks and 4 days for my scan (had one at 8 weeks)

For those of you with no symptoms, that was me (apart from needing to pee alot!!)

But my symptoms kicked in at 10weeks, so don't worry for anyone out there who was the same as me before 10weeks.
