Hcg and 7 Week Scan

Hi All,

Just a quick question that I know no-one can really answer but I wanted some thoughts if you have any!

I had 15dpec hcg which was 116.10. I have just had 27dpec hcg which was 14500 so...:

a) I have tried to work out the figures on the basis of doubling every 48 hours but mine seems to have gone up far quicker than that???? Any thoughts?
b) I have a 7 week scan next Wednesday and wondered if the hcg levels mean that we will be able to see something?

Any thoughts gratefully received!

Thanks for that - I did take a look at it but my numbers seem to have increased far more than I would have thought?! Wondering if we may have one or two? Also wondering what we might hope to see next Wednesday - so excited!

You should definitely see a heartbeat at seven weeks, it's just a tiny flickering dot of a thing but it's one of the loveliest things you'll ever see in your life! Hope all goes well.

Good luck on Weds hun. I'm having a scan on Monday when I'll be 7 weeks and 2 days...hoping to see a strong [zx076]

As for hcg levels I was convinced both of my blasts had impanted when my first hcg result came back at 1468 but when I had a scare at 5 weeks I went in for a scan and there was one sac and yolk so high hcg levels can also be found in singleton pregnancies x

I'm not sure when I am due to be honest - the first day of my last period was 8 August if that helps?
