Cold while pregnant

Not sure if this is a good or bad sign but at 12 weeks pregnant and after finishing all my immune drugs this morning, I can feel myself coming down with a cold. I have a sore ear and throat and my head is muzzy. Nothing bad but definitely on its way.

Should I be worried that my immune system will to into overdrive and harm the baby or does it just mean that I am immunoduppressed and the drugs have done their job?

I will call the clinic tomorrow but I know they're just going to say it's fine as my placenta has taken over.

Any opinions wound be great,

I had an absolutely awful cold at about 17 weeks and I was really poorly for a few days (high temperature and everything!), try not to worry about your little one, he/she will be fine I am sure.

I don't know anything about immune treatment so I can't comment but I would call your clinic if you are worried, don't be fobbed off if you are not happy with their answer.

Hope you feel better soon.

I think colds are pretty common in pregnancy.
And they are definitely not a bad thing for immunies, possibly even a good thing. If your immune system is rattled, it will target the infection rather than the baby. I had a very stinky cold during my ET and 2WW and I was kind of pleased, in a red-nosed grumpy kind of way! But it doesn't matter either way, you are so far along now, your placenta is lovely and established!
But do let us know what your clinic says,

Thanks mavis and gracie. You've put my mind at rest. I can sniffle in peace!

And I'll post after calling the clinic to let you know what they say.
