Any help would be appreciated - not yet tested, am I pregnant?

Hi, my OTD was on Saturday but I am one of these people who would rather just wait for af to come and not face another BFN test. Anyway I was pretty convinced af was here on saturday as was getting some cramps for a couple of hours but nothing. I had nothing all day yesterday either and woke up this morning convinced I had come on and checked and I was clean. I have noticed that there is an increase in cm and I am very wet all the time. My boobs are very big and sore, almost like what they were like when I went in for EC and are quite veiny looking too. I stopped the progesterone at 6pm on Friday night. Normally I come on before test day or on the day, so I am wondering what is happening? How long can does it take for the progesterone to get out of your system and when am I likely to get af? I know I should test and put myself and dh out of our misery, but I am so so scared, I really cant face doing another test to then come on an hour later! I'd be really angry with myself for letting myself build up any hope, albeit a tiny amount. Thanks

Hiya,

I had the heavy veiny boobs and extra CM when i got my BFP, hate to say it but the only way to stop you from going mental with all this is to test but try and stay relaxed when you do, i know its scary to get hopeful then have them dashed but knowimg will stop you questioning every feeling.

mega good luck hun

Hi

I agree with Jane - the only way you are going to know for sure is to do a test. I know it's so hard to see a BFN but you might be suprised and either way it will stop you wondering.

Good luck xfingers

Hi Livinginhope,

I agree with Bubble and Jane, however one quick question, did your clinic tell you to stop the progesterone support on your official test day even if it was a BFP? I'm asking because some clinics like to continue it until about week 12 and you shouldn't stop it unless your clinic have advised you to do so.

hi hon

I think you should do a test.

Also why have you stopped the progesterone? I think you should re-start it, you need to do that until 12 weeks hon. xx

thanks for all of your replies (thanks bubble for changing the title) your right I need to do the test dont I, even though I am having a major panic attack just thinking about getting a BFN! :bawl:

The clinic I go to, only gives you progesterone support for the 2ww and not after, even if you do get a BFP. Its funny isnt it how some clinics tell you to do different things.

I will do the test this evening when dh gets back from work, cant face doing it on my own.

It's better to do the test first thing in the morning, cos the urine is more concentrated. Try not to drink for a couple of hours beforehand if you are doing it tonight.

All the pregnancy symptoms in the 2WW are caused by the progesterone you are taking so there is no way in knowing you are pregnant without doing your test.
If you are pregnant then the growing embryo will make your HCG horone go up which in turns makes your progesterone grow too so don't worry.

Good luck! babydust

thanks maria, perhaps I will do the test tommorow am then as I have been on the loo all morning already. :snigger:

Dont suppose you know anyway how long it takes the progesterone supplement to leave your body, as I have read 12 hours and then 2-3 days!

In the 2ww you need to use the progesterone every day, twice a day if you're using the pessarie so I'm assuming it's 12 hours.
