Hi all,

Not been on for ages and its a new look forum (hope i manage to post ok).

OMG loads happening on here - Poppit your wee boy is adorable, congrats again.

Lisa, good luck today and hope it all goes well. Vanessa, good luck with your induction tomorrow and hope it goes well also

Christine, Jensqui, Sacha and everyone else i have missed- how are you guys doing, getting rather close for everyone now :D

Sounds like all the new mums are doing well which is fab, cant wait to join you all (although i think im still in denial).

Welcome to the new 3rd tri girls Flic and Danielle, good to have new faces

AFM - have had a horrible few weeks at work, on Friday night i actually came back early from the xmas dinner party to do more work and have a conference call at midnight :bawl: no wonder im so shattered. Have also had guests the last 2 weekends so been non stop, at least we have this weekend free before my mum arrives for xmas (which will also be very hard work).

was at mw today and lo is 3/5 engaged already (was well shocked), she is measuring 3-4 weeks small though but mw isnt worried as had my scan last week and was on 50th percentile so think is just me :snigger: , also had sugar in urine but hoping thats a 1 off (going to test my blood sugar later on to see as im a little paranoid).

Take care all

hi girls! welcome to Danielle and Flic :D

Vanessa - you've already left for your induction...I am thinking of you!!

Wee Janey - wow, LO engaged already. You're gonna beat me to it, I bet! I really hope you get to rest soon.

Went out for lunch with the girls from NCT class yesterday so had a bit of a 'baby chat' day. We're all just sitting and waiting now. I've started having period pain style twinges, so hoping that jellybean is at last moving south. My next appt is Thursday (with GP rather than MW) so really really hoping she says there is some engagement there.

My aprents arrive tomorrow for a week. Mum is going to have a cleaning and cooking frenzy so that we are all sorted for the next couple of weeks. Unfortunately my carpal tunnel is pretty painful at night so still only getting about 4 hours sleep meaning I just have zero energy during the day to do many chores. And, of course, using my hand a lot just makes it worse.

We watched the Amanda Holden programme last night. Have to say that I can't stand her, but it was really interesting, nonetheless and I thought she did pretty well. Wish the senior midwife would come and give the my MW a few lessons in making the woman the focus though!!

awaiting news about Lisa................

Welcome  to Danielle and Flic, it is a tad scarey on here sometimes but exciting at the same time, wont be long for you two now xx

:goodluck: to Lisa and Vanessa, sorry I missed you both before you went in xx

I watched the Amanda Holden programme last night, scared the life out of me and got me quite emotional :tears: , think i'll keep away from things like that until Peanut is here!!!

Sorry you've been having a bad time of it Jane, cant be long till you finish work can it?? Sounds like you need a couple of duvet days zzzz xx

Well thats as much as my mushy brain can remember so i'm really sorry if i've missed anyone, hope everyone is ok xx

Well though I was was in labour yesterday, my body had a real clear out in the morning, then I started with the lower back ache and period pains and just as I decided it was time to sit down and concentrate to see if there was a pattern it all stopped humph . Oh well, have my sweep on Xmas Eve of all days so could end up with a xmas baby the poor little thing.

Hi - haven't posted on 3rd tri board before, it's way too scary! I do read it though and lots of you ladies seem to be very close to the finishing line. I'm 32 weeks and totally in denial about it actually coming out!! My mat leave starts soon so will have to get myself organised then and maybe join a local group, there's just been no time up til now. Good luck to everyone!

Weclome Dizzyduck, yep it can be scary over here with lots of labour talk and babies being born :snigger:

Thats fab news for Lisa, hoping we get more baby news by tomorrow then - i get all excited when the babies arrive

Jensqui, getting period like pains is a good sign, im sure LO will start to engage soon. I doubt i will beat you too it as im convinced i will be late and be getting induced, think i feel that way cause i have had no BH or anything else (almost feel cheated :snigger: ). Sorry to hear your carpal tunnel is still giving you so much jip

Cheryl - i also get baby brain so often, memory is so bad. Must have been annoying to think your in labour then for it all to stop, think i will go in a complete huff when that happens to me.

I still dont have stretchmarks B2b but i have a weird dark circle round my belly button.

Sacha, i still cant believe how far you have got with twins, thats amazing.

AFM - well i finish work on 23rd Dec but just had another task landed on my desk this morning X( , but i am taking a lunchbreak today (to catch up on FZ) esp as im working late tonight, wed and thurs. Still will have a few weeks to relax after xmas (will just have a small bit of work to do from home) as not due til 15 Jan and im sure she will be late.

Will need to go into town soon to get some raspberry leaf tea - do you get it in holland and barrets or boots type places?

Hope evreyone else is well

Jane i got my RLT from holland and barrett and it was buy one box get one free or something and that was only a few weeks ago so offer could still be on.

i know i cant believe how far i have got either im still hoping for it all to start naturaly b4 tom but dont think that its gonna now and like you have had no BH. i have to phone the hospital in the morning to see if they have a bed and i hope they have in a strange way cos im so big now i cant do a thing.

welcome dizzyduck !

good luck lisa hope all goes well for you but i do hope to be out b4 you go in to wish you luck.

Hello,

Thanks for all the welcomes! It is sooooo scary here!! You all go and have actual babies!! I don't think I've quite accepted that baby will be coming out yet. I'm sure it will hit me soon and I will have a major panic.

Good luck to everyone going in/already in/getting ready to go in!

I watched the Amanda Holden thing too and I blubbed pretty much through out!! Especially when babies were being born.

I've finished work for Christmas now, not back till 4th Jan!! I'm already so tired. Not sleeping well at all, getting up to pee all night and just not comfortable at all. Does it get any easier??

Flic, lucky you finsihed for xmas already, im counting down and 6 more days

Hey Dooey, good to hear from you, hope Blair is doing well, bet hes grown loads already. The the MWs at raigmore seem really nice, i am just a bit worried about being told not to go down cause busy but im sure it will be fine.

Sacha - good luck tomorrow, must be so exciting knowing you will meet your babies soon :D

Hope everyone else is having a good day. I have 1 more hour left in work (but really needed a wee break from staring at work stuff on screen, FZ far more amusing).

So hoping to hear some baby news tomorrow

Hi everyone especially to the new girls. It is sometimes scary on here hearing of people giving birth but you soon get used to it. Good luck to Lisa and Vanessa I hope that you don't have to wait too much longer to meet your lo's. I have my growth scan and I can't wait as I haven't seen my lo since 13 week scan. I know that there will be a big difference and I'm so excited. LO has been moving about loads recently especially when I'm in a position that it doesn't like. I can't beleive how the time has gone and that I'm due in just over six weeks. I even packed some of my hospital bag yesterday, how scary was that.

Hello ladies, not been here for a few days. Welcome Flic, Danielle and Dizzyduck. Hoping for some baby news from Lisa, Vanessa and Sacha soon. Janey you are doing great working. I am just too tired and breathless most of the day. Christine hope you get a good view of LO on scan. Jensqui sorry your Carpal tunnel is still giving you trouble. Went to mw last week. He is 3/5 th engaged. I think he went down a bit more last night. But it really means nothing as engagement has nothing to do with when labour starts.

Hi everyone Lisa what great news to hear. I hope that all went well and that you are all doing well. Congratulations to you and your DH.
AFM I had my growth scan today and we saw our lo which was great. Still didn't find out what we were having as told her that we didn't want to know. LO doing well although not so little by all account it is already 6 1/2 lbs and I still have 6 weeks for it to grow. I think I will be like the others and having a big one. Everything else was well.
Got some bad news today when we came home though. We had booked to take lo to see my dad and his wife in Cyprus in April but Flyglobespan have gone bust and we have now lost our flights and money. I did pay by credit card so am hoping I will be able to get my money back from them and then try and find new flight over to see them. We were so looking forward to going out and seeing the family and now all I'm doing is crying. Sorry for the moan but just so upset.
Hope we get some more baby news soon.

Christine xx

Christine, I'm so sorry about your flights. From what I can gather you should get hold of your credit card company and they should reimburse you because paying by credit card does give you protection. My SIL had that happen to her this year and the card company gave her her money back. I hope you get it sorted honey.

Hi Christine as Flic says you should have no problems getting your money back since you paid by credit card, you might have to wait a while though.

Congratulations to Lisa!!

Morning ladies,
Thks Sharon. 3 days of induction, that is long time to be in hospital waiting.

Christine your LO is a good size. Hope you can get your money back.

Nothing to report here. Spending time sleeping eating and being lazy.
