Ooohh Angelbaby good luck for tomorrow!!!

I know its dissappointing when you cant do things naturally but doctors know best.

:goodluck:

Well I went to my first local nct bumps & babies group this morning. Its quite a big group but the few I spoke to were really friendly so ill definately be going again next week.

I have been a bit worried as the last few nights I have felt like I was leaking fluid. It only seems to happen at night though ?( I spoke to the hospital at 7am this morning they advised to wear a pad for an hour or two and see how wet it gets. I done that and it didnt seem very wet so they said it was either watery discharge or wee :O I have an appointment on Tuesday so ill ask again then. Anyone else had this ?( ?( ?( ?(

Emz, enjoy your last day of 'pretend work' before the real work starts!

Kelly, I haven't had this at night but a little bit on and off during the day, especially first thing in the morning. M/w says it's just all the softening going on down below and the muscles that normally control your bladder etc are not as strong as they were. If she tells me about pelvic floor excercises once more I swear I will kill her.

All the best Angel, will be logging on regularly to check for updates. x

Random questions

Hi all,

I am 34 weeks and I have a couple of random questions for you 3rd trimesters,

I have yet to have leaky (.)(.) or Braxton Hick contractions. I know the leaking doesn’t happen with everyone but I was expecting BH by now. Do some people just not get them or will they happen later on?

Also another random question – has everyone’s belly button popped out yet? Mine hasn’t, does that mean that it doesn’t happen with all women?

Also another thing that hasn’t happened yet is stretch marks – but I am not complaining about that!

My (.)(.) have been a tad leaky for a few weeks now, but nothing major.. belly button is still an innie, but threatening to become an outie and the first stretch mark appeared the other day at the bottom of my bump on the side where the biggest baby is (My bump has always been lopsided) Don't worry about it if you aren't having any of these.. from what I understand not all happen to all and enjoy the fact you have no stretch marks!!

Hi hopefull,

Not everyone gets BH. My Mum didnt get them until her 4th child so she kept thinking it was the start of labour. My right boob seems to leak but not the left??

My belly is now an outie but believe it doesnt happen to everyone. No strech marks as yet touch wood!

NH, it does seem we're all different. I have a leaky left boob since about 23 weeks on and off but it's stopped for the last month, no stretch marks (yet), BH about 4 weeks ago and nothing again until yesterday and insie belly button but don't know for how long as it's fighting to get out!

Can I also throw in a question, does anyone have the dark line running from their b.button down the way (can't remember the proper name)? I don't have any sign of one and thought it was something everyone got?

Have a nice weekend all. x

I didn't have leaky boobs with either of mine. I breastfed them both successfully. I didn't have braxton hicks with my first baby, I've never had a poppy out belly button and I haven't got any stretchmarks on my tummy :D

If I'm normal then so are you :D

Hi girls !

Last day was perfect really, it just felt as if I were going on holiday ! I got taken out to lunch on Thursday which was nice and yesterday they did a presentation and gave me some perfume and £65 mothercare vouchers.
Was upset when i actually left and had a few tears in the car on the way home then polished off the evening with a firework display which was totally amazing and a curry ! I think it will be one of those days i'll remember forever.
Still hasnt properly sank in yet i dont think.

Its my birthday on Monday and this morning DH is taking me to the seaside - well weston super mare lol.

NH - I've had no leaky boobs... Braxton hicks i'm not really sure if i am having them or not, i'm getting what feels like period pain. Belly button is an innie but looks massive and I have awful stretchmarks in a band right across the middle of my belly :((. I dont have "the line" either hopeful.

Catch up with you later - hope you are doing well Angel.

Ems xxx

Kelly - hope everything is OK x

NH - My belly button still an innie - i don't have "the line" - my (.)(.) not leaking - not experienced anything like BH - but stretch marks I am proud owner of and it looks like i'll only get more!

AFM - MW visit @ 34wks just gone by - told everything was fine, measuring smack bang still, she said she felt abit "back to back" though - to which I now understand means could prolong labour - she said it's not a problem for this moment in time but to try and not lay back as much as possible/ lay on side to sleep etc. hips higher than knees (which i have been doing!) Guess this means i'll be blowing up that damn exercise ball sooner than I thought and giving that a whirl. She did get me cracking on the birthplan though and gave me more leaflets. I feel it's too soon to be "properly" excited but eeeeee I can't wait! Lol. 13 more working days left for me ^^

Hello all you lovelys!

Cant quite believe im over here already, its a scary thing when your more intrested in births now more than anything else.
I have had no boob leakage and was wandering when you get that, no line and no stretchmarks :clap ..
Ive been in hospital this week for a few days with a kidney infection! Still recovering from it....the pain was unbelievable
they used pethidine for the pain which i was a bit freaked out with as that is a labour drug and girls it didnt do a thing!
Ended up on morphine which is quite funny as i was going to try and have a labour drug free!!!!!!!!!!!

But the good news is My little girl is all fine not harmed by it one little bit!!

Looking forward to getting to know you all as D-Day approaches!!

Mollie welcome, sorry to hear about your kidney infection, glad you are on the mend now. Don't worry about the leakage, I don't think it means anything, some get it and some not.

AFM, I'm getting lots of aches between tops of legs and right round all the bones in the pubic area, beginning to move around like a big tellytubby now, not a great look! I have my m/w check up tomorrow so hopefully she'll tell me all is normal and to be expected.

Dawn, get on that ball, I've been on mine nearly all morning and it really helps with the aches but I know it's great for helping baby's positioning too. Hope Kelly is ok and hope you all had a nice w'end. x

good luck kelly,

afm i have had leaky (.)(.) for about 7 weeks but te past week they really are leaking and sooo painful when they are leaking like someone is stabbing me with pins in my nipple  so tomorrow im going to buy nipple soothing cream which will hopefully help, and my belly button is verging on an outty  i have also been suffering with the worst heartburn ever for the past week this morning at 4am i was sat up in bed shouting at the heartburn to go away :cross: lol and as for braxton hicks i always tend to get them at the same time each night round about 9ish there not painful just uncomfortable they feel like your skin cant get any tighter and last a couple of seconds then my stomach softens again then ten mins or so later will do it again does it about 3 or 4 times i wonder if that will be about the time id go into labour ?( near my due date

hope everyone has had a good weekend i went to my sisters, she bought a few fireworks and cooked potatoe hash and black peas yum yum was knackered by 9pm though so dh had to take me home i think he wanted to stay longer really and have a few more cans but if im not drinking i didnt fancy listening to him repeating his self after a few so bedtime for the both of us lol

It always goes quiet in here when someone goes off to have a baby :)

Congratulations Kelly xxxxx !!!!!

Well off to see the midwife this morning...9.30am - too early ! Been enjoying maternity leave, its surprising how quickly the day goes. Yesterday I put some of bods clothes away, tided up, did the dishes, dusted, vacuumed, cleaned the windows in our bedroom, painted a bit of the ceiling, went to see mum and dad - twice, watched the apprentice - then the day was over !

Hi all - yep it is very quiet in here at the moment.

Not much to report from me, still struggling to go to work each day but next Thursday is my last day, so really starting to countdown now! Also have another scan booked in for Tuesday when they will tell us whether a c-section is needed (most likely since I have placenta praevia) and what date it is to happen. Scary huh?

How is everyone doing? Anyway incredibly tired? I was asleep by 7.30pm last night!

Hi girls!

Well, to cut a very long story short (er) Noah Joseph was born at 3 34pm Saturday 6th November.
I was induced by pessary on Friday late morning and started contracting throughout the day, to be put on the monitor at night and them realising that each contraction was causing a deceleration in Noah's heartbeat. All of a sudden contractions stopped and I was wheeled back onto post natal ward where i spent the night worrying with very little movements, By the morning, I was back on delivery with a drip induction going full pelt for a quick delivery with epidural in place in case or emergency intervention. (The epidural was a complete failure- I could feel everythign and get up and walk despite having the maximum dose and infusion rate :( not good) The labour progressed very quickly indeed although baby was clearly in distress, however he did recover well after each contraction and was well monitored and had multiple blood samples from the scalp showing satisfactory oxygenation so we continued ( not by my choice) with vaginal delivery and although he was very flat and needed 5x "rescue breaths"he soon picked up and after 10 minutes had a full apgar score. Bless him, the cord was wrapped round his neck no less than 4 times causing lack of blood supply. All the warning signs were there, as I had been on the monitors 4 times over the previous 10 days with minor decelerations during contractions and every day that went by they got worse and worse. Thank God we took the induction when we did as it might be a very different story!!

We are smitten and totally in LOVE! I was back home after 24 hours, and Noah is a beautiful relaxed and calm baby feeding well - days 6 and has gained 4oz from birthweight Mummy has magic milk!! It was worth every minute of wait and pain and the anguish we felt during labour but they looked after us well and delivered our little boy safely to us.

Hope all are well, shall keep popping back to check news xxxxxxxx

Hello Ladies,

I did join back ages ago when I first got my BFP and was on the 2nd trimester board for a while. But we moved and have been on and off the internet soooo many times! So haven't managed to come back properly until now.

Just wanted to say hi, and congratulations to those who have had their babies already :congrats: .

I was 38 weeks yesterday, and am due to have a little girl. I have to say I am terrified of giving birth! I am such a wimp at the best of times so would be nice to chat to anyone else whos feeling as nervous as me!

Hello !

So glad everything is OK Tracy and a BIG CONGRATULATIONS !!! , how is life being a mum ? Keep in touch as we dont live too far away from each other !

I went to mums the other day and she said that once you have the baby the midwife comes round everyday, is this true? I thought you were pretty much left to get on with it.

Welcome to Mr C and Clairise, have we crossed paths before claire, we may have been on the 2ww board at the same time ?

Glad everything is ok with you Poppy, next time hopefully a baby will come home :)

NH - Its strange how you become so tired even when doing nothing lol. do you wake up really early too ?

Went to see the midwife yesterday, they think baby is now head down but in the back to back position so yesterday morning spent half an hour slumped over my birthing ball lol.

Hi all, yes it goes very quiet on here then there's a flurry of excitement. Poppy, hope things move for you soon, you must have thought that was it and then been disappointed. Tracy, massive congratulations baby7 on the birth of Noah (it's my first choice boys name too). It sounds quite a hairy experience for you but I'm glad everything went well in the end and you have your little man safely in your arms. Welcome to Mr and Mrs C, Claire welcome also, I am with you on the terrified bit, don't know what to expect and I don't know if that's good or bad, I'm not good with pain so if I could go to sleep and wake up with the baby here I'd be happy!

AFM, well I had a bit of a bad day yesterday, My Mum has progressive Multiple Sclerosis and was taken admitted to hospital on Wed evening, as DH is away just now and the hospital is an hours drive all country roads I thought I'd go in yesterday morning. Anyway got there and seen her, all as good as can be expected. That was fine, I left and on my way out of the car park I fell and slid on the grass, I came right down and just don't know what happened. There was no one around so I got up and took myself back into the hopsital and up to maternity. Think I must have been in a bit of shock. They traced the baby's heart for an hour and then done a scan to make sure there was no placental abruption, these were both ok thank god. Just to be on the safe side because I am rhesus negative blood group they gave me an anti D injection. I was there for four hours altogether and it was just horrible, I was sure there was something wrong and they weren't telling me. Thankfully everything is fine and I've woken up this morning black and blue ankle to hip, my legs must have taken the brunt of the fall. So today I'm not leaving the house, DH is back late tonight and until I give birth I am doing NOTHING that could get me into trouble, no housework, no dog walking, absolutely NOTHING!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend. x

Congratulations too Tracey, love the name Noah!

How is everyone this weekend?
I am getting more nervous by the day, I noticed that my bump has dropped a tiny a bit, I can breath! And my bra doesn't dig in at all! Fantastic it is. Think its still got away to go but hoping its a good sign as only 11/12 days to go now.

How is everyone feeling?

No planned c-section for me after all!

Hi all,

Just back from the hospital for my 36w scan because of my low placenta. It seems BG (aka baby) has moved the placenta away (despite them saying it was going to remain covering the OS) and there is now 5cm between the placenta and exit.

Also head is right down and BG’s back is towards my front, so no back-to-back baby. So a natural delivery is now in the cards for me.

Firstly I am very happy. Natural = better for baby, better for me. Less recovery time.

Of course now, since I had been told it was going to be a c-section, I am quaking in my boots about the thought of going in to labour. Lately I have been experiencing an upset stomach and when I go to the loo (in a hurry!) the pain can bring me to tears (sorry TMI). If that makes me cry – god knows what a mess I will be in for labour!

Anyway, no point dwelling on it now – what will be will be.

Hope everyone is well - 2.5 days left and then I am on maternity leave. Yippee!

Hiya!

Thats fantastic news! so all natural for you : ). They thought I had a breech baby last week at 38 weeks but luckily she is head down so no section for me!

I too am having issues with the toilet, as in I am wanting a number 2 a lot! Or feel like I need a number 2 a lot (sorry too much info) Wondered if anyone felt this way too!

Can't believe I am due a week tomorrow! Eek.
