Good bumpage!

Hope everyone is doing well.

Decided to go for another private scan today (think I'm addicted) as bleeding continues and the waiting is horrendous. Baby growing fine but the clot is still there and no signs of diminishing. The consultant was really abbrupt and just said, "well there's a good chance everything will be fine as baby is growing well but normally bleeds would have stopped by now so there is ultimately the chance this will lead to miscarriage." He really knows how to set a girl's mind at rest! That was it, nothing more. Kind of wish I hadn't gone now as the worry is worse if anything, at least I saw the baby though.

Sammie - love the bump! I started showing at 9 weeks and feel much bigger now at 12 weeks. Think I have caught your curry fetish - really fancied one when I got home tonight ....

Caz - hope bleeding stops, some people are not very tactful. Every week that goes by the chance of miscarriage goes down and baby seems fine today so :xfingers:

Siobhan - I'm very bloated too and keep growing out of my clothes. Such a relief to get home and get changed into pyjamas smile2

Hi gang, I have resisted posting here yesterday hoping it was just a blip........... but yesterday and now today all my symptons have disappeared!! I wasnt feeling sick any way but took some comfort from my achy sore (.)(.)s and occasional stretchy pulling in my stomach and I feel different somehow!!! I cant stopthinking there is something wrong with my LO's!!!!
Very happy Mummy to Maisy & Oliver - bring on the fun!

Hey Sazzle,
You are not alone with your worries, read back a few pages and plenty of people have disappearing symptoms. You'll be sick again tomorrow I'm sure!! I'm a scan addict as I get so panicky about my LO so can't really tell you to relax as it would be a definite case of pot/kettle/black!! But really, I am sure it's ok, and if you're really really worried call your GP.

Sazzle - I had this at about 8 weeks, my nausea, MS etc all disappeared and was worried sick. Had a scan a 9 weeks and all ok (felt a bit silly to be honest) so sure you will be too. When 's your next scan? If not for a while, perhaps see if can get an extra one to put your mind at rest as the worrying isn't good.

Loving the bump piccies everyone smile2

Take care,
xx

Hello All.. so loving the bump pics!! Cant wait to be able to post a pic of my own. Sazzle, sorry you are so worried - I cant really help as I'm not that far along but like the others say - sure you'll be sicko tomorrow....if not, I would try to have another scan. Maybe it's the little one's giving their mum a wee break for a day!

I had my scan today - one amazing heartbeat seen!!!! [zx076] They've dated me differently AGAIN and said I was only 6 weeks and 1 day (taking it from ET) so the nurse was impressed to be able to see a heartbeat so early. She also said my follies have all filled up again and she showed me them - they were huge which is why I cant do up any of my trousers - leggings here we come...She also said they are unlikely to go down much due to the pregnancy.....(not sure what that means)

I then had a midwife appointment - that was weird. For some reason, I came home after the 2 appointmnets and cried like a baby for about an hour. JUst felt so like a pressure cooker that was about to burst. I think I was thinking we wouldn't see anything on the scan and we did so I just blubbled cosntantly.....god, the hormones...

Sammie - did you mention hot flushes? I'm sure you did but cant check cos it's on the previous page but, yeah, am getting hot flushes - particularly around late afternoon and then nausea about that time too. If I'm at home, a nap and a snack seems to help but when I'm at work, I just have to ride through it - nibbling when I can. Also, is anyone else having really vivid dreams? Mine are crazy - have had them since the 2WW...... every morning, am telling DP my dreams - think he's bored by now. :pah
Anyway, (thanks for reading if you are still there! - I dont half waffle sometimes!)
Lots of love to you all, BonBon xxxx

Congrats BonBon, welcome to the crying club, I blubbed loads at britain's next top model final last night! Lord help me!! When I was about 8 months with my son we went to the cinema (do it loads now - it'll be a rare rare treat in the future), we saw Marley & Me, big mistake, I was actually sobbing out loud.

Bonkers vivid dreams here too, and sometimes in the morning I'm a bit dazed for a while as seemed so real but are so crazy, I just sort of sit confused for a while whilst I work them out.

Sammiej - hope you having your curry wasn't my fault last night :snigger: - wow you have a good appetite!

Funny you all mentioning the weird dreams - I am not sleeping at all well at the moment (am so tired) and while dozing this morning managed to mix up my dream with what was being said on radio - it's a wonder I know what's real at all!! Just 2 more sleeps until my 12 week scan - keep flicking between excitement and being scared.

Hope everyone is having a nice evening.

Sammiej - am no expert but if your 7 week scan was all ok then can it still be ectopic? Yes will let you know about curry - had a few takeaways recently so need to start eating better. Your evening with a curry, candles and chocolate sounds perfect. I am in the lounge in front of fire watching tv. Will let you know how scan goes :-)

Hi ladies, hope you are all well. I was wondering whether any of you had been experiencing any bleeding. I reckon i'm about 7 weeks pg and have my first scan on the 14th. Everything had been going okay up until last thurs when I noticed a little spotting and then brown discharge. I read everything I possibly could and managed to convince myself that everything was okay. However, yesterday the blood was red instead of being browny and again today it is a mixture. It isn't heavy and I mainly see it when I wipe myself. I'm not in any pain and haven't been cramping and i've been trying to convince myself that it is a number of different things other than the worst possible scenario. I know there'a nothing that can be done and what will be will be which is why i'm going to wait until my scan next week, am I being too laid back about this? It would be great to know if there were any others out there who've experienced this. Thanks xx

Hi Bushbaby,
I had the very same thing you describe at about the same time as you and you are being far more calm than I was which is most definitely a good thing! Like you say there are lots of things that cause bleeding & it is very common in early pregnancy, mine turned out to be a very small subchrionic hemorrhage which has just now finally bled out at just under 11 weeks. I also have a low lying placenta apparently which can also cause some spotting. However I would say as soon as you see any bleeding it would be best to call your GP, mine was great. I didn't need to go in, the duty dr called me back and as I didn't have one for a while they sorted me a scan. As you say they might just say wait until next week but it won't do any harm to give them a call.

Hello gang.

Wow Caz that must have been scarey for you but I'm so glad everythings okay now.

Sammiej hope you have had a lovely day out with DH?

Emz congrats on your scan xfingers the nuchal/bloods all come back aokay x

Bushbaby I agree with the girls I think you should ring your GP for advice hun

I really should take my own advice really!!! I did ring my clinic though this morning regarding my lack of pg symptoms and the nurse I spoke with was one I didnt know and she was a bit dismissive! Basically told me to ring my GP but not to worry to much as I'm not bleeding or cramping!! So for now I'm going to leave it until my midwife appt on Friday, If I'm still concerned in the morning I may ring her then. I am just chilling now before going to work at 5pm boo!!!! :-(

Hope everyones well :xxx3:
Very happy Mummy to Maisy & Oliver - bring on the fun!

Hi Sazzle,

So annoying when people don't seem to listen to your concerns isn't it.

I too am worrying.....I still have sore boobs and keep getting a bit of nausea but nothing else really. Really wish I could ask for another scan - not sure I can survive until 1 November!

Hi girls!

Can I join in the chat? Am currently pregnant with my first baby due June '11 all being well. Have been married to my darling hubby Tony for 5 months. He is, atm, more excited than I am at the prospect of being a Daddy. I know I will be soon, but since its still very early days, I'm quite aprehensive. Though I say "darling" husband, he and have been arguing since last night, even this morning over brekkie was tense. If anyone's got any advice on what I should do to him let me know

Why am I so angry?

Thanks for letting me join!

Jasmine x

Hi

Hi jasmine
It is perfectly normal to feel the way you do
We have all been through so much
Now we are pregnant
It's hard to believe that it is actually happening to us.
And as for arguing
It will be the dreaded hormones
I was arguing with dh over the silliest little thing
It has all calmed down now
But you will get there
The joys of pregnancy
Yay

Down

Hi ladies
I'm feeling really down today
I don't speak to my older sister. And my eldest sister lives in aylesbury
Which is ages away from me
I don't really have a lot of friends as I keep my self to my self
Would there be any classes or any like mum to be classes I could go
And how would I go about finding out
I've heard that antenatal classes don't start until at least 20plus weeks
Would just like to get out more
Xx

Hey Sammie, I know how you feel, my sis is in Suffolk and we didn't know anyone in Hertfordshire when I was preggers with ds. I went to yoga, the yoga hall in St Albans does a pregnancy yoga from 12 weeks. I must admit yoga is so not usually my sort of thing and I giggled whenever she did the hippy bits but I met loads of lovely ladies, there was always tea and cake afterwards, and towards the end when I felt like an unfit elephant it was actually really relaxing. There are probably similar classes nearer you, or else I'll prob start going to the Weds night one in st albans again soon if you want to come with me? I also read an NCT mag the other day that mentioned coffee mornings for mums to be, could be worth a google.

Hi girls!

Life has returned to its peaceful normal self. Finally forgiven Tony, well, I suppose a nice hug from a toasty warm husband when I was bloody freezing also helped. Am really looking forward to my B-Day tomorrow, Tony STILL isn't telling me what I'm getting! Hehe! ^^ Really looking forward to it, the only thing I kno about for certain is that Tony is taking me out for dinner tomorrow and that my parents, sisters, brother, respective partners and Tony are taking me out on Saturday. I have no idea about presents or anything else! I'm even beginning to wonder whether or not he has got me a card!

Anyway, here's to my last night as a 26 year old Mummy-to-Be, when I wake up tomorrow, I will be a 27 year old Mummy-to-Be! :)

Happy days!

Jxx

:hello: ladies...

Would you mind if I joined you? I got my :BFP: on 27th Sept and got my first scan on 15th Oct. It doesnt seem real at the mo, so hoping when i have my scan it will sink in. Haven't had any sickness, just really tired and sore boobs. I feel bloated and get the odd dull ache in stomach, is this normal?

Happy birthday Jasmine :birthdaycake:
