Since my good friend Tracy is joining you here... I'll pluck up the courage the do the same. HAPPY EASTER to you all!

I'm very early days and too scared to even put a ticker up :snigger: , with not the best track record for pregnancy but crossing everything this time and on a lot of drugs!! :snigger: I had 2 scans last week ( :O Ihad a bit of a panic at the end of the week only a few days after the first.. completely unfounded! :O ) and all seems to be well and a heart beat seen both times xfingers I will be 7 weeks pregnant on Tuesday. Don't have a million symptoms.. slightly tender boobs and the odd bit of nausea but the huge doses of B12 and B6 my doc has put me on seems to have all but killed the majority of sickness. :) When Im not feeling sick Im starving! I am scanned weekly every Friday and literally live for those days!!

Lots of lurve to you all

Hi Girls,

Happy Easter x

Its so nice to read about all the recent scans, had my BFP on Good Friday so hopefully i shall have that all to come in the not too distant future!

Past couple of days have gone so slow and i'm so scared of M/C (I have PCOS). I'm scared to have sex incase it "disturbs" anything down there ! Is it OK or should i avoid, at least for a couple of weeks ???!? I''m trying to eat better although have had some "chocolate indulgence" today. hehe

Well hope you are all well and look forward to speaking with you all in the coming months !

Welcome to Angelbaby, Bunty and Emzuii! This thread is full of worried people just counting down the days until their next scan so you are in the right place. We are all in the same situation and feel the same.

Bunty - I notice you are from Lancashire, whereabouts? I live near Horwich.

Emzuii - as for your question about sex, my clinic says it is fine but I am too scared to have sex just yet so am not sure really. I'll be interested to hear what the others say.

Morning girls
Cant shake this horrid feeling I have. Such a shame I cant enjoy being pregnant at the moment. My boobs arnt so sore again either. I know from what I have read that they can be sore on and off through pregnancy but you know what its like when you have lack of symptoms it makes the mind do horrible things!!!!
One more sleep and tomorrow we will hopefully see the baby again with a strong heart beat and have grown in size the way it should.!!!! xxx
Sorry my posts are me me me at the moment. Im being selfish until I know whats going on. Doesnt stop me from thinking of you all though.

HI all (great to see you on here too Bunty!! We are getting brave aren't we?!) Yes it does seem like we are all feeling very similar and counting down the weeks, days and hours to our next scan for some more reassurance!! I have found a decreased libido aince finding out I was pregnant too, its a case of not feeling sexy and not wanting to disturb my cervix or a nicely attached little bean. I'm not sure my feeling will change much as the weeks go by either. Hope you are all having a lovely Easter break! xx

Angel 1980- Thats one of the reasons we are here, somewhere safe that you can off-load all your anxiety and worries. Your posts are quite naturally about the most important thing to you right now, and I'm sure a various points we'll all need your support too! :cuddle

In answer to the sex question- My clinic said that we could get back to normal as soon as the transfer was done! We did wait until after the 2ww but then my hormones have taken over and I could quite happily jump on my OH Martini style- Any time, Any place, Anywhere! I have shown some self control though! [zx062]

I had to buy some new bras on Saturday. Before treatment I was a 34D or a 36C and have been all my adult life. I got measured in the Playtex shop now Im a whopping 34FF or 36F!!!! Crikey! Could the cyclogest be causing that or is it really the pregnancy? I also bought my wedding dress [zx126] if you google Odette by Monsoon you will see it. Need to sell my original one now, but at least thats a problem I can live with!

My first scan tomorrow afternoon- One more sleep!

hello

hello all, excuse me for jumping right in. Been reading through your posts and it's wonderful to know and i am now one of you. Wooppeeeeee. Got my BFP on 1st April, due for my first scan on 28th April. I'm presuming that will make me around 8 weeks by the time I have it. Nervously cautious at the moment but very excited. Can't quite believe it....ha ha. And getting more and more impatient by the day, waiting for the scan.

Just wanted to 'hi' and hope you are doing great this Easter.

Congratulations Blowout and welcome to this thread. You are in the right place. You have quite a long wait until your scan, hope it goes quickly for you.

Good luck to Andie and Angel1980 for your scans tomorrow!

Love the wedding dress Andie!

Emzuii - my scan at 6+6 was transvgainal with a probe. It is too early for the ultrasound to pick them up.

2 more days until my next scan, can't wait, getting really nervous, hope everything is ok with my LOs. xfingers

Hello Lovely Ladies

Hope you are all having a nice Easter

Angel1980 - Please try not to worry honey. I am keeping my fingers crossed for you tomorrow and don't you ever start apologise for feeling selfish.

MrsS - Hope you are enjoying you 2 weeks off make sure you get lots of rest.

BellaLove - I am going for my scan on Thursday when I will be 9w+4d so you have made me so excited that I will something more "baby shaped" congratulations sweetie.

RosB - Hope the fainting feeling is subsiding, good luck with the scan on tomorrow I think.

Hi Ros... good luck for your scan... I am in Preston! Not far at all from you.. Horwich is lovely! :) Which hospital are you at honey?

Emziiui ~ your scan will likely be transvaginal... mine always have been at that stage. As for the sex... I personally avoid it although I know so many people who dont and are just fine. Your cervix becomes very engorged with blood due to high levels of oestrogen, during pregnancy.. and as such it's very easy to burst open the odd blood vessel during intercourse. Of course this is harmless to the baby, but as it's happened to me in the past and freaked me out totally... I am refraining!

Tracy.. brave ebough to start a diary? ;)

Angel ~ good luck for your scan too.. and the fluctuating hormone levels = fluctuating symptoms! One minute I feel fine and not sick and asymptomatic and the next I have a wave of nausea and my boobs are tingly and sensitive again. I literally live for those moments... and actually LOVE feeling horrible! :snigger:

sticky vibes to us all!!

Hope you don't mind another newbie to the 1st trimester. Nice to see some familiar faces from the march miracles. Blowout I was wondering how things panned out for you as I haven't been on for a few days, glad to see you here.

Had to give myself a bit of a kick up the backside recently as Dh and I have been pussyfooting about , too scared to talk about our good news but after reading some posts from girls who have not got this far it's made me realise I should be enjoying every minute of this time and embrace the fact I am actually pregnant. Like a lot of you I've not had any symptoms but my stomach is massively swollen. My clinic said this is normal and due to the drugs I was on and also because I had quite a lot of eggs, my ovaries are probably still enlarged. Even my (.)(.) which were swollen like tennis balls have softened a bit but are still quite tender.

Anyway hope to keep in touch with you all over the forthcoming months, I'm so pleased my surfing turned up this site, best thing ever!

babydust to everyone. :xxx3:

Just a very quick one from me to wish all of you having scans in the next few days all the luck in the world!
Cherish every moment as they'll be fewer and further between once we all have 12w scans - make the most of the amazing opportunity to see your LOs

AFM - 13w tomorrow, so should be moving into 2nd Tri. I'll still hang around here for a while though to check how you are all doing.
Moving to 2nd Tri will feel a bit odd, but also very reassuring - it means I can start to relax a little with this pg at last. I may even start thinking about a holiday!!

Hope you've all had a lovely Easter.
Lots of love

Hey Ros ~ I am under George Ndukwe at Notts Care... but I go to Manchester for repeat bloods etc (ie all the easy bits!). However Im also being scanned at the Royal Preston (DH is a consultant there) and Liverpool Womens (I am under their specialist miscarriage unit for weekly monitoring because of my history). So getting a lot of attention this time around which is nice. :O

I too am a big CARE fan! :D

Horribe dream last night!! i drempt i started my period.. lets hope that DOESNT happen. Had call from the hospital yesterday and i'm booked in for the 7 week scan,
if all is well then i will be discharged to the drs, no idea what happens then lol, its a world of mystery to me at the moment.

Ros - thanks for the info hun... i do remember you from the feb 2ww chat :)

Bunty - impressive that your DH is a consultant ! does that mean you get free treatment or at least someone to look after you at home!! :))

Mrs S - Hope you are well

Elaine - congrats on 2nd tri, did the 1st tri go really slow ? since i got my BFP time feels like its stopped, sometimes i wish i had a FF button!

hopeful h - a big HELLO! i had the same test date as you hun - it was such a GOOD FRIDAY! have my first scan on 23rd, how do you feel ?

JudgeJules - i remember you too from the feb 2ww chat, good luck for thursday, let us know how it goes x

jojo - thanks for the welcome, same day scan as judgejules! hope all goes well xx

blowout - what a fantastic easter hey, i bet we can both safely say it was the best ever ?

Andie - thanks for the info hun and good luck with the scan today... googled your wedding dress, its lovely, whens the big day ?

Andie and Angel - I guess you could both be having your scans RIGHT NOW! Hope all is well, and you are savouring the moments

To all the new girlies - Welcome and best of luck! The 1st Tri is a worrying one for everyone, but you'll find loads of support and sanity in this thread, and you'll be at 12 weeks before you know it.

Andie - your wedding dress is gorgeous!! Am quite jealous of your wedding/holiday combo coming up. I really feel ready for some sunshine now...Have a fantastic time

AFM - well before I shuffle off to 2nd Tri, I thought I'd let you all know that I had a phone call from the hospital this morning with the results of my NT test (done last Monday).
We are over the moon with the results to say the least! My age (42) gives us a 1 in 97 chance of having a baby with Downs, but with the combined results of last week's scan and blood test those odds have dropped to an astonishing 1 in 1947!! The average odds for a 20 yr old are 1 in 1500, so we really couldn't have hoped for better results

Sun is shining here today, and the world feels like an amazingly wonderful place.

Love to all. I'll be keeping my beedy eye on you!! :xxx3:

Hello again!

re: the early scans- I've never had a transvaginal one, last time round I had a scan at 7 weeks exactly and that was abdominal, and this time round, at 8 weeks and the same HOWEVER, I'm having a nuchal scan on the 30th and that or part of it is going to be transvaginal to get some good detail from the kidneys which is what was the problem last time round. Not sure how I feel about this but if I get some reassurance then I'd put up with anything!

Still not feeling "pregnant" at all, no tingly boobs or anything, last time round I had monster heartburn and spd already and had gone up 2 sizes in bras and couldn't bare to be touched or even have anyhting brush against my chest... funy how each pregnancy is so different?! I actually tihnk like Bunty that I would prefer to be feeling really ill!! LOL

Bunty- Not brave enough to start a diary, its just that inital "all about me and my story" thats putting me off or maybe I;m just being lazy...I'll get round to it!

Looks like it varies...My 7w scan as trans-vaginal, but since then (at 8w, 10w and 12w) they have all been abdominal. Even my NT scan at 12w was purely abdominal.

Afternoon girls

Bunty - wow, looks like they are really looking after you this time around, that's great. Maybe once we are all a bit more relaxed about being pregnant ie. into the 2nd trimester we will have to arrange a get together for those oop north.

Emzuii - your dream sounds horrid, I am constantly envisioning things going wrong, which I know is stupid but it is hard not to worry. I am sure your 7 week scan will put your mind at rest.

Elaine - wow that is great news re your NF scan results, so happy for you.

One more day until my scan....and counting!

OK, I have plucked up the courage to join all you lovely ladies - many of the names I recognise from having had a big smile on my face when I read your BFP announcements!

I tested last Wed and had blood test on Friday which confirmed my BFP. Now I am just in a blind panic because I am convinced it is a case of just waiting for something bad to happen (but from reading all the posts it seems I am not alone).

I have bugger all symptoms, apart from sleeping for 9hrs a night, but I have always loved sleeping. Just scared that it is all just a dream and I will wake up soon and realise I am not pregnant.

Can't wait to get to know you all better.

One quick personal, congrats Elaine, the scan results must really have put your mind at rest.

Mixed news. 2 sacs but only one precious heartbeat found. They don't know if the second is viable. I have to go back next week for another scan, and be alert for bleeding if it miscarrys. It would put the first at risk too.

I don't know how to feel. I thought I would finally relax a little after the scan, but I can't be happy right now.

Well we had our scan obviously. It was gonna be a male scanner by I asked for a female- find them too rough!!
I had prepared my self for the worst- but had the best news I could have asked for. Baby is now measuring at 9.3mm compared to last weeks 3mm.
Dh and I are very happy-we know its still early days but we r smiling!!!!

Thanks girlies for getting me through this last week- its been a real tough one!! So now I have to wait for a call from the midwife on Friday to make an app.

Hope you are all ok.

I have my first scan on Thurs and i'm really excited and nervous just wish Thurs would hurry up and come but not long to go now so xfingers everything is ok. Think i'm just panicking because i've not had much symptoms but on reading everyone's story i suppose we are all so different. Really pleased that your scan went well.x

Andie - so sorry that your scan hasn't given you the lift and peace of mind you were looking for. But you have a heartbeat in there hun - your LO needs you to stay positive for him/her. Fingers crossed that next week's scan will be more definitive and you can move on with this pregnancy.
Did they give you any indication of the chances for the second sac?

Sorry again hun. Thinking of you. :xxx3:

Janninewall - congratulations on your BFP and welcome to the thread, I am sure you will find plenty of people who are feeling just the same as you on here. It is only natural to worry until we get to the 2nd trimester (although I am not sure if it stops there!).

Andie - so sorry to see your post, it is going to be a long week for you but I so hope next week's scan brings you better news.

Angel - after all of your worry, you have finally got the news you have been waiting for, so happy for you. I hope you can relax slightly now.

:hello: lovely ladies

Angel great news about your scan, and Andie I am crossing everything that we hear some good news from you soon :hugs:

Emziiui ~ I have had some absolutely MENTAL dreams every time I have been pg... largely down to anxiety about the pregnancy manifesting itself in my sbuconscious... but I don't think it's all helped by serious hormones pumping around our systems! Don't worry ~ youre not suddenly psychic, just a normal anxious mum to be :cuddle Sadly I dont get free tx (DH already had kids from previous marriage which means we get nada) but I do get free drugs and as I have immune issues I need to have IV drugs regularly which he does for me at home with a makeshift drip stand (it was a pair of skis last time rotf :O ). Sometimes him being who he is works against us ~ as lots of important people try to get involved when practically and clinically speaking they perhaps are not the right person for a particular job! (eg midwife is often a lot better at doing something than a senior consultant merely because she does it all day, every day and they dont.)

Tracy ~ I found your diary ... I love it already [zx127]

Ros ~ would be happy for a meet up if I get that far :) xfingers

My symptoms are not super strong still and I only get the odd bit off nausea and just love it when I do. I keep whacking myself in the baps to see if they are sore and almost willing a bit of boob pain, but I have found that with each pregnancy my boobs have become less and less sore... as if they are so used to it now they are immune I think! I do get little pink cheeks every now and again with a bit of hormone flush though. OR maybe Im just hugely unfit. You decide! :P ^^

Hi I am a newbie!

I am pregnant with my first baby and so excited as I wasn't expecting it. A total shock and me and my hubby are delighted.

I have a uterine condition where I have two (smaller) wombs. If the baby is in the right hand womb, this is the healthy one and baby should make it. Sadly if it's in the left side it will probably miscarry. I'm a bit confused as I visited my doc on Friday morning and he didn't even confirm the pregnancy.

I think I am 7 weeks pregnant and I am having a scan next week to confirm everything...wish me luck!

baby2

JPink, I have everything crossed for you regarding the womb.. Have they given you any sort of indication regarding percentage chances? Can they do that or is literally a case of we will see on the scan?

Re: my two womb situation...The only hope I have is that it would be pretty hard for me to have got pregnant in my left womb as there is no cervix (?!) and the tube is blocked on that side. It's almost like my body was preventing a pregnancy on my bad side. The embryo would struggle to reach the 7 weeks I am now I think? The right hand side has a healthy cervix, fallopian tube etc. If I am pregnant in my right side I would have a 60% chance or more of carrying to at least 34 weeks. My twinges are on the right side (yey!) so I'm hopeful. Ringing the midwife tomorrow to try get an earlier scan booked pronto. Hubby can't wait.

Hi ladies,

I haven't been on here since February as I wanted to wait for my hospital appointment. Can you believe I waited 6 weeks for a (urgent) scan! Well the amazing good news is that I've had two scans so far and seen an obsteatrician with 25 years experience with uterine abnormalities. She studied baby yesterday (I am 12 weeks now) and me and DH heard the heart beat!

My obs is an amazing lady with a fabulous sense of humour - she told me that I carry only slight risks of late miscarriage (20 weeks +) and I am very likely to grow FULL TERM with NO PROBLEMS! I could have hugged her! Next scan is 27th April as I'm seeing her every 3 weeks.

Feeling so positive now, going on holiday to tenerife on friday to relax. Now I'm going to read all your posts and get up-to-date.

Andie, I am so sorry the scan did not put your mind at rest, but you heard one HB which must have been lovely for you, I am sure everything will be fine when you get the scan next week, your wee one will hang in there, but I am so sorry that the 2nd sac did not seem to be viable, I know this must be hard to deal with.

Angel, great news on your scan, you must be over the moon.

J-Pink, really thrilled for you too.

hello to everyone else.

I did another test this morning, because with no symptoms I am convinced I am not pregnant - it came up positive, but even that did nothing to put my mind at rest!

Off to get on with my work, keeps the mind occupied!

Hello ladies,

I am so sorry I haven't been on here in such a long time. I have had a bit of a family emergency so when I haven't been running around I have been sooooooo exhausted!

I will go back over what I have missed now.

Pregnancy wise I have been feeling pretty rough too. I had some cramping and spotting last week so was very worried, that tailed off towards the end of the week though so thank god I am more relaxed.....the sickness however is becoming a nightmare. I have been violently sick every night for the last couple of weeks (and always feel quite sick all through the day). I have also got my migranes back and last night was so awful I think I was crying all night with the pain and the sickness.

I went to the GP this morning and she was lovely. She tested me and said that my blood sugar is low. I have some sachets to mix up into a drink which will give me my daily fluid intake and replace the sugar which will in turn ease the sickness and help with the headaches.

So here I sit sipping on this disgusting drink lol yuk!! but anyway I am going to try and catch up on some much needed rest after I have updated myself on the thread. I hope you are all well.

xxxx

Hi Ladies,

Seeing as I am now 13+wks, I suppose it is time for me to move over to the 2nd trimester thread. Jannie, nice to see you on here ... typically it is just as I am leaving. BTW, I even did a repeat HPT on the morning of my 6wk scan just to convince myself that I really was pregnant!

Anyway, went for my 13wk scan today. Nurse was a little puzzled as according to the clinic's dates I am mid-way througfh week 13, but if she had to date the baby, she would have said wk 14. It seems my LO is long. This also meant that they could not do the NT scan as the calculations are only accurate up to baby length 7.9mm. My LO is 8.5mm (apparently I was a long baby so it is clearly in the genes). Anyway, the nurse said that she could not see anything on the scan which was giving her any cause for concern, but said that I should get the midwife to do the triple blood test when I see her at 16wks. Oh well..... Came back from the hospital and was starving so had to have some toast before I could ring my mum who I knew would be sitting nervously by the phone.

So ladies, hope to see you at some point on the next thread. To those of you who are suffering, I hope it is not too bad. To others who are worried about a lack of symptoms, don't worry I was like that too... no sickness, no sore boobs. Increased tiredness, hunger and boob size were the only signs I had.

Take care everyone,
:xxx3:

Andie, don't lose hope for the second baby, it might be a slower developer? Fingers crossed that whatever happens, the stronger one will continue to thrive, just stay positive and look after yourself

Angel, great news for the scan.

I'm having a sneaky scan tonight at 9.30 at the practice where I work,, meeting my work colleague to have a sneaky peak, i said all I wanted to see was a heartbeat and that would keep me going till the 20th for my 12 week scan...

Hi Everyone

Rosie - sorry to hear you have been so unwell, I was wondering where you had got to. Good to have you back on this thread. When is your next scan?

Elisa - congratulations on your 13 week scan, sounds great, can't believe your LO is so long!

Well I had an amazing scan today at 8+6 - both babies (I feel I can call them that now) were measuring the right size (2cm) and starting to look very baby like. Well they have enormous heads and tiny legs and arms but apart from that they are starting to look like babies! One of them was wriggling about like mad, it was so cool to see. The doc was a bit concerned about a large cyst that I have on my left ovary as it has been giving me some pain, although this has died down in the last few days. So I am going back again for another scan in 2 weeks - this was going to be my last scan with my clinic today but they want to check on the cyst which I am fine with as it means I get to see my LOs again.

Hi Everyone [zx078]

j-pink - what a fabulous story!! Best of luck for the rest of your pregnancy [zx017]

Janniewall - Ithink us lot on here are keeping the preg test companies in business - I've lost count now how many tests I've done!! :snigger:

RosieN - so sorry you've been feeling so terrible. Hopefully th sachets will make a difference - there's nothing worse than a migraine! :headache xx

Elisa - congrats on reaching 13 wk mark -best of luck for the rest of your pregnancy xx

Angelbaby - you lucky thing! Hope it all goes well - let us know how you get on xfingers

Rosb - congrats on your scan - sounds wonderful! :weehee: Hopefully the cyst will sort itself out and stop causing you pain.

AFM - had a bit of a moment today! Was at Ear, Nose & Throat clinic today with my mum and when we were in the treatment room I suddenly came over all roasting hot and thought I was about to be sick all over the room. The doc was talking to us and I just kept trying to get out the room to a toilet as was sure I was about to be sick any second. It lasted for about 3/4 minutes then just as quick as it came on it went away again!!! I was quite nauseas at times in my last pregancy but nothing like that! Hoping it's a good sign!! xfingers Exactly a week to the minute til my scan!!

Love to all xxx

RosB, I am so pleased about your scan today!!!! and yes at least the scan in 2 weeks means that those precious little babies will be seen again :) I am 9 weeks now so in theory I should have recieved an appointment from the hospital for a scan between now and 12 weeks but I haven't recieved anything.....I am not sure if they are under the impression that the private clinic are still taking care of me but I need to contact my OB's secretary and tell her that the clinic are happy for me to be seen by my local NHS provider after my 7 week scan went well. Its a bit annoying because at least if I had a date I could get excited and know that it wasn't long!!

Mrs S - Sorry to hear about the sickness and I agree with what you said as when I was pregnant last year I felt sick a lot but wasn't actually sick (unless I had a pesky headache!!) but this year its so awful and I am scared of eating because the more I eat I know that when the night sickness kicks in the worse it will be. Oh dear lol the things we do for our children!! but yes I am sure that this is a very very good sign and I hope all goes fantastically at the scan next week yay you get to see the bumpling!! lol

Hello ladies, I hope you don't mind if I join you on here. Hello to my fellow March Miracles on here !
I got my BFP on 19th March but have been too nervous to post on here until I had my first scan yesterday! Anyway all went well, the heartbeat was strong and the baby measured 8mm which is spot on for my 7 weeks. I am feeling quite sick now - all day pretty much, so I think that's a good sign! My DH thought it was really funny that I have done 4 tests since we got our BFP, but reading other people's posts it seems I am not alone, so I feel much better. I guess us girls just need to know things are ok, plus the novelty of getting 2 lines!

Anyway hope everyone is doing ok.
