Belly Cast!

Hi just wondered if anyone is getting a belly cast done or is thinking of having it done?
Is it worth it and how easy is it?
thought it would be a really nice keepsake!
Thanks
blowkiss

Cheeky Duffypoo - and she is a fine one to talk aswell!

I haven't got a photo of my bump, let alone a cast. But if you did do it, would be very curious to know what happens!

As my pregnancy has progressed my belly has got harier. I like the idea of a cast but am concerned it would feel like a bikini wax when they whipped it off.

Mothercare do a DIY kit for about £20!

Didn't get as far as doing it though as my lo made an early appearance so have no knowledge of how good it is.

You can do it even cheaper (speaks Moony the Scrooge) - all you need is some vaseline or cling film and some plaster of paris bandages which you can get dead cheap from any pharmacy. If you need instructions look on you-tube :D

Wrap your torso in cling film or smear in vaseline (to prevent the waxing effect Dilly :snigger:) and get a close friend to put the wet bandages on. I'd recommend using shortish strips (about 50cm) doubled over rather than wrapping lots of single layers as if you're bandaging legs. This way it's easier to manage and you build up the strength of the cast quicker. Don't worry about neat edges as you can trim thos with scissors afterwards. varnish/paint as required and hey presto!

Just to say this isn't some weird fetish of mine I used to have to do body casting as part of my job - honest :snigger:

If it keeps raining you can do it nearly for free. Go outside, belly flop in the mud and then fill the resulting hole with plaster and you'll have a reverse cast!

Seriously though I agree with Moonshine and the using vaseline (I don't have a fetish either but have had the opportunity to body cast in the past).
