Yippee! A new thread. :D

How is everyone this morning? I hope you all have a good day.

I had a crappy sleep again last night but for a good reason. I was holding off going to bed to let DH get a good rest. When I went to bed I woke up afew times and he was well over mine and LO's side! :snigger: I didn't have the heart to tell him to move. He had to leave before 6am to work at a local election. He won't be home until after 11pm so it is a long day for him.

It is pretty good because he works for the council anyway, so in addition to his normal day's pay, he gets a fair whack on top for what he is doing today so it gives us a bit extra.

I'm going to do a bit of work and then I'm going round to my Mum's later for tea.

I feel rather relieved! Now its just the middle name TBC!!

Wow! Lucky girlie! A £4000 pay cheque ...nice!! I'd sit on it a wee while too I think ...and then go for a big splurge!!!!!!

hope you have a good shop Sooz  what will you get?

nice to hear your garden's imaculate Sharon rotf one thing less to worry about when you're legs akimbo!

Vanessa, hope you're feeling ok. I had a wave of bad mood at the weekend but it passed. I think the lack of sleep is affecting us all X( but it's good practice for what's to come
tbh, I don't feel too tired even though I'm up about 3 times a night.

Feeling sick and have been full of rage hormone all day :snigger: Im so angry at nothing, not sleeping isnt helping I guess.

Scottie great news LO engaged, shame about your MW though, I guess with a home birth you have really grown to trust her, I dont particularly like my MW she is not very helpful get feeling she wants me out so she can get though her next patient as quickly as possible.

Still not starting nesting yet, not sure if i will, with it not being my house I only have my room to clean :snigger:

Morning

All this baking going on.....I kind of did that and stopped I just keep cooking nice dinners though...dunno if that's the same??!!!!

Well my feet are really annoying me now went shopping then almost couldn't walk after an hour as they are sooooo swollen!!!!

Managed to get the whole bedding range now including nappy stacker, cot tidy etc, just want some more cot sheets but not paying mothercare prices, found some on asda which is cheaper than ebay!!

So need to go back out today as missed a few bits.......

Scottie don't worry I never seem to see my mw ive seen her twice then ive ended up with people covering and to be honest they have all been really nice....dont know if ive been lucky!?? gd news bub is engaged mine is too and it is making walking sometimes difficult!!!

Lizzy did you make that crumble??

Pamela hope your feeling better today??......tiredness does make you grumpy so if you can try and sleep when lo does mine tends to be less active in the middle of the day!

Pooch nice support eh!!!!! and now I want some choc chip cookies :yumyum:

Poppit enjoy blackpool Ive never been!

Well at least its the wk end but then the days don't seem to make a difference now!! :snigger:

Good morning everyone,

Hope you are all well today.

I just remembered - I HAVE been baking, I made crumble about 2 weeks ago! Shows you how terrible my memory is at the moment. :snigger:

Not sure what to do today. I've got a bit of work to do later so I need to see how the day pans out.

I woke up and DH was finishing getting ready for work and so I decided to get up because my hip was sore again. I asked if he had let Alfie out for the toilet and he said yes. He then went through to the kitchen to get his breakfast and immediately came back through before I could get myself out of bed and told me that Alfie had since been into the kitchen and left a big turd there!!!!! :innocent:

This is just further proof to what I was saying about him last week about not wanting to go out in the rain...... He will get a shock later because we have to get gale force cold winds and heavier rain! :snigger:

Morning all

Well i didnt sleep well at all last night AGAIN  Not helped by the fact my boys where very unsettled & i dont know why ?( Asked to get out 3 times overnight X( but they dont seem to have a dodgy tum ?( Maybe they are coming out for sympathy for me with my 2 hourly toilet trips :snigger:

DH arrived back last night & i really do love him but........within an hour of being home there was washing everywhere, shoes etc etc. My house was prestine no more  is it just me or are men hard work to look after :snigger:

Oh well the sun is shining today again  but apparently it is to be wet/windy later today & tommorow  My nesting continues so the inside of my kitchen cupboards are going to get it today :snigger: & i may even clean my cooker/oven!

catch you all later :P x

Thankgod,
Go to Third Trimester homepage and there is a thread there about what to pack in your bag for hospital. Having read it, quite afew of the things are maybe not necessary but you can choose what you need from that.
I think if you followed the list exactly, you would need about 6 large cases to take it all in with you! :snigger:

lol isa i agree i read the list and was :8o: im sure i didnt take that much last time..lol
as for the tidy thing...hmm my hubby is the tidy freak! hes forever doing it or something. the only OCD thing i have is to do with soaps, shampoos and shower gels etc...it seems silly when i write it down but it makes sense in my head!!

9.1? lower than mine you must be feeling rough. mine wer 9.9 and went up to 10.1 after 5 weeks. they want me to keep up taking the tablets and increase food with iron content. the consultant said alot of people take iron tabs at the wrong time which doesnt help with the absorption.
the best time to take iron is with fruit juice or 1-2 hours after a meal-you probably know that already

hope a good day is had by all! :D

Well ladies i have had another exhausting day nesting. My kitchen cupboards are all clean/tidy & oven/grill/hob are also now gleaming :D. Been pretty ruthless & thrown a lot of stuff away......i mean how many plastic storage tubs does a woman need ?(. Loads if my collection was anything to go by  :snigger: Well not anymore as off to recycle loads of them have went!

Sooz you are right i dont know how i aint sleeping as i am shattered by the time i go to bed. Even avoiding an afternoon nap aint helping. Tried the bath & hot choc combo as well but within a couple of hours i am awake & need to wee X(

Thankgod poor you with such a low HB, you must feel pretty rough honey

Glad everyone else sounds pretty well

Got my best friend arriving tommorow PM for a few days so may not get on much. So take care all, speak soon x

Evening all and happy days to those who just started a new week :D

Scottie, great news about the 'engagement'. Enjoy your time with your friend and get a good night sleep tonight

Pammy, you feeling more like yourself today? Please don't feel too X( Its just them pesky hormones. Hope your feeling less sick too.

Men!! Aren't they just mucky pups! I tidy all up nice and within moments of DH coming home theres mess. But then Sharon, I am a little like you on the OCD front.

Went to Mother care today just wanting to buy stuff for the sake of it. Can you belive the only thing i found that I needed but didn't already have was a digital thermometer! Been meaning to get one for ages. I also bought some crib sheets but when I got them home I realised they weren't fitted and so I don't want them - won't get them neat enough for my OCD nature :snigger:

DH must have had the same instinct and also went shopping and came back with a GroEgg - room thermometer. For those who don't see them they are ace! hey change colour according to the temperature and look just like an egg. Love it!

DH and I are away to get started on packing up DH's *room*. Its a tip!

hey girls
sorry to hear there's been some sleepnessness and rattiness (scottie and pammy especially),
just think, not long now and we'll all be holding our babies in our arms and all this tiredness and aches and pains will be forgotten  oh no, I guess the tiredness will just get worse won't it :snigger: well, at least we're getting some practice in.
Pammy, hope you have a nice dinner on Tues (Happy Anniversary for then :D ), I know what you mean, sitting upright for hours in a chair get's really tough, hope your back feels better soon.

Happy week milestones everyone clap

Well, yesterday was my last day at work woohoo it was ok, just a normal day really. The boss shouting at the other boss, her crying, me getting asked to do everything...
funnily enough I was untouched by it all and gave out my home baked choc chip cookies to everyone and was told by the interviewers and the other supervisors that 'the sun was going to go down' without me there - how cute

Me and DH just went to a friends' to pick up some free baby stuff. got some cute jackets, blankets, a towel with a hood, a bath, sleeping bags.... very pleased about that :D

Now we're ordering a take-away and getting a dvd out. can't wait. Oh and DH is baking a plum pie thing :snigger:

I've still got pelvic pain but not so bad as before and I know my LO still hasn't turned.
oh well, we'll see what they say at the hospital on Tues.

have a nice evening chickies xxx

Hope you enjoy your dinner, Pammy and Happy Anniversary and 35 weeks!
Sorry you are sore on your hip. LO has taken to lying on something at my left side and it is sore when I move in at the front of my hip.

You sound a bit happier now, Poppit. I lose my rag easier than I used to at the moment and cry?.......... I think we could win awards for these things! :snigger:

Enjoy your evening, Pooch, sounds like you have had a good few days. Congratulations on finishing work too,x

Hello preggers :cheese:

Welcome Cheryl. Lovely to see you over here.

Woo-hoo poochy, no more work  Enjoy the take away

Must be the day for grumpiness. I had a terrible morning. Long story but after a series of very minor (& I mean minor) events I was on phone to a friend when DH started telling me we needed to go (we were off out). I got really upset cause I was enjoying my chat and also I was no where near ready and didn't want to be rushed. I will be the first to confess to being tired and grumpy today and this was the last straw. I burst into bubbles and couldn't stop. Eventually I did stop, mopped up the evidence only to start thinking about how upset I was and the tears started all over again. What was that all about??

Ended up in a lovely afternoon sitting in a shopping centre drinking coffee with our friends watching their daughter perform in some dancing thing. Was really nice and by the end I felt like I'd done nothing but laugh. Gee-wizz! What a roller coaster. The sooner this baby is out the better. Doesnt help that in the last week Ive heard of 4 people giving birth that were due after me X(

Pammy, happy 35 weeks clap

Morning all

Thought i would pop on while my friend & DH are still snoozing in bed.

Well my day has started off really sad its the anniversary of my grans death today & my uncle lost his battle with cancer overnight. At least he is at peace now & my thoughts are now with all his family. Aint life strange that as one life leaves this world we are getting prepared to welcome another.

OK enough sad talk.... the sun is shining here today & my sleep pattern is mildly improved. Getting 3 hours between wee trips now instead of 2 :snigger: Going to cook a roast dinner today :yumyum: & having bacon/sausage sarnies soon (or whenever my two sleeping beauties decide to get up anyway :snigger:)

May go out shopping later or may just chill today. Hope you all have a good one :P

Oh Scottie, I'm so sorry for your news. How ironic because I was popping on with similar sentiments about how one life leaves another arrives. Very very sadly our best mans dad died yesterday afternoon after several years of early onset alzhiemers. He is in a better place now. Obviously Scottie its not the same as losing an uncles, in fact I hardly knew him but I feel so sad for our best man and his brother. Much sadness all round.

On another note.............

THE PLUG HAS BEEN PULLED ON BABY :dancing: I'm pretty certain I'm losing my mucus plug. Sorry, the next bit contains way T.M.I but we're all pregnant here! Went for a wee before bed and there was this gloopy blob that looked like a jelly fish. It was completely clear though and I thought a show contained blood. Checked on the internet and it seems thats not always the case. Can anyone confirm this? Went for another wee about 10mins later and there was more. Through the night more still but it became more stringy than blobby but the same jelly consistency. This morning I lost something down the loo. Didn't really see what it was but just before it slipped out of sight it looked like a big blob of snott! Does this sound like a show? I also had a bit of a dig about (sorry sorry sorry!) and there's a hole in my cervix!

I know none of this means Im imminently going to go into labour but I feel quite excited. Not wanting anything to start today though - got the lady gardner tomorrow :snigger:

hope everyone is well today

oh scottie lmao lmao

No, not going to have it checked out. a) I'm not having contractions so they'll just tell me to come back another time and b) Im to embarrassed to admit to knowing there's a hole! :snigger: :O and now I can't get that song out of my head!

Lizzy that sounds exciting :D

Deffo sounds like show to me and at my last antenatal class they spoke about a fingertip dilation which sounds like what you are, MW said if she examined all the ladies in class more than half would be a fingertip or more dilated already so your right to sit tight, Esp knowing how Aberdeen are, they will just send you home and to come back when your getting strong contractions close together.

IM SO EXCITED FOR YOU :D Hope it starts soon
