Oh good glad i'm not a freak lol, that must be have been strange Pooch having your boobs react to a tv baby. Your poor friend, got a feeling i'll be like that, luckily have some pads ready and waiting although when I bought them I thought they'd be for after the birth :snigger:.

I've not had leakage as such but there has been a wee bit of white dry stuff I noticed so I can only imagine that that is what it is.

It is getting quieter over here Sooz with many people hot footing it over to 3rd trimester......Pooch is next then Poppit next week and me after that. It only seems like 5 minutes ago that I was joining the 2nd trimester.

We went to the shops for an hour after we handed my 24hr tape back in. It absolutely knackered me, but we did get one or two wee odds and ends for LO.
I went into Primark and got a lovely sleeping bag for £8. It is decent quality too which we were pleased about.

DH is watching the Scotland game which he taped whilst we were out and he's getting crabbiter and crabbiter by the minute! :snigger:

I guess we'll be heading over together!! :-)

I've only just been thinking that the first 14 weeks dragged, then it jumped to 16 weeks for my scan and the next thing I knew I was 21 weeks ...and now I've just jumped to 27 ...got my 28 week scan coming up soon and then I'm in 3rd trimester ...it's all just going crazy fast!

Almost as fast as the conversations ont his board ...I cant keep up with everyone!! :-)

leaky boobs cheryl....oh well does your DH know? as mine was petrified of going near them after lmao

yes leaving 2nd tri seems so weird as it wasnt long ago that i jumped ship from 1st tri! its gone quite quick really. i found 1st tri i was worying all the time, 12 weeks scans, bleeding n stuff. now peanut keeps moving about and keeps trying to turn X( then next week ill be 29wks and moving on itno the birthing pool! quite a sobering thought!

am knackered to day as spent yesterday in coventry watching the car racing..didnt get back til 3am. i usually sleep in the car but we were diverted off the M6 so i had to be navigator...im hanging today zzzz

Hope you have a good rest today, Poppit,x :D

Remember what I was saying about not really having leaky boobs last night?
Well, I went for a bath last night before bed and when I got out and dried myself, I noticed about 10 mins later that I was a bit damp on the right :8o: and then the left started!!!!!! It was only a very small trickle but it made me realise even more what is happening with my body as these weeks roll on. DH thought it was funny and seemed quite fascinated with it.

I've not had any today so far......well as far as I can see anyway but they do feel more tingly and raw feeling today.

Not alot planned today. Just did a wee bit for work there but we are just on our way out to get afew odds and sods from the shops,x

Hello!

Been swimming today! I went with DH, 2 of the kids and the in laws! Was a good day out! I stink of chlorine though now!

I felt all light and thin in the water! And my new maternity tankini swim suit was fab!

I've got to go to Newcastle tomorrow for training with work. Not looking forward to the long drive.

Been thinking about doing an open university course while I'm on maternity leave. What do you all think? I mean I know at first I'm gonna be crazy busy but as I'm having 52 weeks I thought it would be good to do something to keep my mind going!

Morning all,

Loads of posts to catch up on - loads of folk heading over the the 3rd tri, how exciting to get to the last bit :D.

Sorry not been on for a few days, was not well since Thursday, no energy to lift my head from the pillow, so was in hospital for several hours getting some tests and a drip (im anemic - so now trying to find lots of iron rich foods to eat) then had visitors for the weekend.

The blokes were in a mountain biking race yesterday and it looks like we got a wee scrape all along the side of the (new) car :bawl:, hoping it looks better when washed or we can sort it out with car wax or something - so annoying.

I tried to find a swimsuit over the weekend with no luck, all way to bright for me or due to my shortness the tops come down to low , think i will be looking on line, pity as i wanted to start aquanatal tomorrow night.

Anyway, hope everyone had good weekends and have good Mondays

Jane - Have a look in mothercare, thats where I got mine from. I'm only 5'2''. Its a halterneck tankini one so I can tighten it and shorts. And the front comes all the way down over the bump. And its dark brown with some pink which and blue circles on it. Have a look on the website, its called spot tankini.

Hello Ladies,

How's everyone? Hope you all had a great weekend. I am waiting desperately to feel the baby kicks. It's only the bubbles that I can feel ( I hope it's the baby ). Also, my doctor has changed the iron supplements as I am having frequent stools. Even after changing the tablets, I am still facing the same problem. I hope it's not bothering the baby. I am trying to drink more and more fluids so that I won't get dehydrated.
Last but not the least, my stretch marks are getting itchy day by day. Huh !

Apart from all these problems, I am going to be a mom- this feeling really excites me a lot. Sometimes I start crying with happiness. Thank you GOD !!!

Thanks Flic. i looked online at that swinsuit and looks really nice, may order it later (my local store is very small with not much choice).

Eternity - Im sure you will be getting big kicks soon, everyone feels movements at different times. Get loads of cream of your stretch marks if itchy, will help to cool the itch.

I felt the baby move from outside for the first time last night, was lying thinking 'goodness those are strong kicks' and put my hand on my tummy and felt it on my hand, had to wake DH to share the moment even though it was 4.30am, he was amazed he could feel it so strongly at 21 weeks.

Hope everyone is having a good Monday

Hi - can I join you?

Hi Ladies,

Would you mind if I joined you here on Second Tri? I have been hanging out on First Tri, but now feeling confident enough to make the jump. I already know a few people from First Tri - hopefully they remember me!

I had my 12 week scan on Friday - at 13w2d and all was good. Such a relief! One perfect baby, measuring 7.8cm (which apparently puts it at 13w5d!) and sleeping lots in there! So the new timings put me at 14w1d today - which is just amazing! I think I am maybe starting to believe it now!

So ladies, can I ask, the best places for getting a few bits of maternity clothes? The trousers I got for work a couple of weeks ago are already tight! I have a Belly Belt, which is great for my jeans, but kinda worried about flashing the world at work! I think I need to fork out for some proper gear now...

God - this is really happening, isn't it? Can someone pinch me please?!

Love to all ladies and bumps, hope everyone is well and happy.

Morning all,

Well first day back at work after 2 weeks :bawl:, its horrible and I had 150 emails to wade through before I could even start X(.

Poppit, yes DP has noticed the leakage, he's a tad grossed out by it. Was really funny yesterday morning, I spilt some (well quite alot, I was half asleep) orange juice down my pj top and DP saw it and presumed it was my boobs, the look on his face was hysterical, he was disgusted :snigger:

Oh Betty hope the sickness goes away soon.

Oh dear Jane, sounds like a bit of a trauma, at least they know what it was though and are sorting you out.

Eternity, dont worry i'm sure you'll feel some kicks soon. I went from practically nothing to huge kicks practically overnight, sometimes I think he's trying to get out they are that strong :snigger:. I know what you mean about the crying, I sometimes cant believe that its finally happened and get a bit teary xx

I think i'll have a look on that website as well Flic, really want to start swimming as I hope it will help will be back and hips etc.

Well back to work boo!

Welcome Sarah - im sure it will seem real to you soon enough (although sometimes i still pinch myself :snigger:).

You can get loads of maternity clothes online, there are quite a few places such as blooming marvelous and funmum, i got a few things from ebay as dont want to spend money on things i will wear for a few months. In the high street H+M are quite good and i got some cheap jeans and tops from Peacocks which are nice.

The hardest bit is the inbetween sizes, i can still wear 1 pair of jeans i have but at the same time my mat jeans keep shimmying down as need a bigger bump to hold them up - all the fun parts of being pg though :D.

Sorry your back at work Cheryl (never fun going back after a holiday is it).
lovely about the leaking boobs and freaked out DHs, my DH has a weird thing and always asks me if they are leaking yet, think he is imagining it being rather amusing for him.

Hi ladies, a brand new thread and we are 4 pages into it already. I have not been here for a week and lots has happened. Welcome to all the new ladies. Sorry can't remember the names. I am off from work this week. Not going away anywhere, just chilling out at home. My nausea has become worse this week. I constantly feel sick, and am physically sick atleast once a day. I am trying to eat different types of food but nothing seems to help. LO's kicks are getting stronger and DH was able to feel and see them on my tummy yeasterday. He was very pleased. I hope you all are having a good Monday. And any tips for second trimester sickness please suggest.

I found Primark had a few maternity stuff in which was quite cheap.

Welcome, Sez140 :D

Hope everyone else had a good day so far. I was working so that kept me busy and now I'm knackered!

My little girlie keeps bouncing on my bladder and then I go to the loo and do the equivalent of a small skoosh of perfume. :snigger: I was up and down like a fiddlers elbow all night again with the same. Still, it is reassuring when she does it because I know she is moving around and that is always nice! :D

I got the results back from my 24hr tape - the GP phoned me. He said there were about 30 ectopic beats but this can be normal, especially in pregnancy. He thinks once the iron kicks in that I should feel a bit better too all round and he will monitor the results of the bloods I get done with the midwife next week.
He has also written to my obstetrician so I may or may not get an appointment to see them.
I have to say I'm really really glad that everything was ok.

Just going to watch the soaps and then maybe get an early night,x

Good evening ladies!

Well I'm in Newcastle for a course. I've driven up and not had to stop for the loo or to be sick once! I am so proud of myself. I am shattered though now. Had a quick shower and got my pj's on all loose and baggy! I bought one of DH's work t-shirts (he's a fireman) so his t-shirts are all big and comfy for bed time!

I've got to share a room with a young lass (20) so I'm gonna appologise in advance for waking her up when I go pee in the night, my bad wind (and boy is it bad today!) and being sick in the morning!

I've noticed that normal pregnant women don't add the days on when saying how pregnant they are. One of my friends just says 6 months. Maybe I'm just obsessed!

I've got back ache today. Is this normal so early on? I'm 14 weeks + 2. Its really low at the bottom of my back. Also I need to pee loads but then hardly any comes out!

Ahhhhh, the joys of being pregnant!

Our miracle was born on 25.02.2010!!

 Hi everyone hope you are all ok? lots to catch up on when i log on in the mornings, hi Sez nice to see you again!!!
Flic, when you pee its not like a water infection is it sweetie? back ache and no wee coming out? just an idea...i know us pregnant ladies can be affected with those, i have to take a second sample in next week when i go to see my midwife as i was a bit borderline in having one....if not, could just be backache, i get that when i have been sitting down for a bit!
did anyone watch blue murder last night?!? i fell asleep about half an hour before the end X( and i wanted to know what happened!!!
love to you all xx

flic...get a jug of water and put it in the fridge with slices of fresh lemon in it. drink a pint an hour (yes you will wee a lot) but it will help get rid of any infection.... an old remedy but it does work quite quickly and no harm will be done if you decide to get an appt.to see the mw

my mw told me to do that in my previous pregnancies and i does work....never needed antibiotics.

Great tip Poppit not heard that before.

Good luck with your scan Sonia, i'm afraid I went to mine completely unprepared as I didnt get a list at my 12 week scan but sonographer did show me everything she was doing so I just asked questions when I didnt understand or wanted her to elaborate. Theres a huge difference since your 12 week scan, its really exciting xx

Hope everyones having a great day xx

Hello!

Thanks for the welcome guys.

Glad the test went well Lisa. Thanks for the welcome.

Sonia - hoping the scan went well. Having only just had my 12 week scan (at 13w5d!) I haven't really given much thought to the 20 week one, so will be interesting to hear about it.

BB - hello!! Hope you're doing well, nice to be back together with you and Flic, I was feeling a separation anxiety! :snigger:

Flic - hope you don't have an infection or anything. I have to say, as baby gets bigger it is weird that you feel the need to pee, but when you do, there's almost nothing there. So much baby in there now, must be even more so for you! I get the occasional backache and just need to find a new position to sit or lie in... I guess it does put more strain on your back and joints etc. All good fun!

Poppit - 30 week scan, wow, they'll be soooo much to see then! I am thinking about one of those 3D ones at about 26-27 weeks - it's my birthday then and I was thinking I could ask my DH for it as a present. We don't really have the money spare at the moment, but as a birthday pressie, how can he refuse me eh?!

I have told my team at work the "big news" today. Shocked silence - although how on earth they've missed the bump I just don't know! And then the only comment was "are you going to take any maternity leave?" - eh? No, I'll just pop it out in my lunch-break, back at work by 2pm and baby can live under the desk! :snigger: ?(

Loads of love to all ladies and bumps, Sarah xxx

Hello everyone

I am so busy at work at the mo I am rubbish at posting on here but do try and pop in as often as I can to read all the news.

Hello to all the ladies over from the 1st Tri.

Rightans - so sorry you are still being sick, I wish I knew the magic cure for you :hugs:

I have found New Look and ebay my fave's for Maternity Clothes so far, although New Look only do one length which is a bit long for me so I end up having to turn stuff up.

Sez - :snigger: at your work colleagues

I had my 20 week scan last Friday and it was great, had a great Sonographer who explained every part she was checking. I think thats the key thing is making sure you're not ignored, especially as they can take a while. We didn't find out what we're having so looking forward to a surprise in Jan.

I did my first Aqua Natal class last night and really enjoyed it, was really gentle but I did feel like I'd done some exercise so just what I was hoping for.

Hello to all other ladies, hope you are all well.

20 week scan!

Wow - you're all getting me excited about our 20 week scan now, it sounds amazing! And thanks for the tip regarding the possible 30 week scan, I will get my DH to feign surprise that we don't get one and see if he can wrangle us a 30 week one as well!

So - those of you that are further along, can I ask another question?! When did you first feel baby move? And what did it feel like? I am desperate to feel a movement, even though I know it's too early! I spend ages focusing on my bump and wondering "oh, maybe that was it?!" - but I kinda know it probably wasn't! In fact it was my lunch or wind!!

Hi everyone,

I can't wait for my 20 week can...not long to wait now. I went with my sis to her last one as her DH was away. It was amazing, it looked so like an alien (in a good way :innocent: :snigger:) what with all those bones, ribs and stuff compared to the little blob I saw on my early scans!

Sez your work colleagues must have been in shock.. to think you wouldn't take any time off  !!!

I think I felt our LO for the 1st time last night. I felt a sharp feeling and then after that I just lay still and I could feel little fluttery feelings. Made me wonder if I'd just sat quietly and thought about it for a while if I would have felt things earlier.... anyway it's truly an amazing feeling. Starting to get all excited suddenly, looking through catalogues etc. Just wait until DH gets back and I show him my shopping list :P :O
