Natural BFP after IVF m/c March 09

Hi all

Congratulations everyone!!!

I cannot believe I am here again. After my first IVF in Jan 09 I sadly m/c in March, I was due to start FET this month. However I found out at the weekend I seem to have got pregnant naturally!!!! CANNOT believe it, it was so highly unlikely to happen naturally (DH slow swimmers or damaged and very few ok )

But I am so so scared now with what happend last time.

I go for a scan next week when I will be aprox nearly 7 weeks (scan at 8 weeks showed lost at 7 weeks last time)

Want to get excited but worried to allow myself this time until 12 weeks as I have that as my target milestone.

Anyone any experience / comments.

Kel xx

Congratulations hun! :D

Any pregnancy after a loss is worrying and those of us that have had losses all have our different ways of dealing with subsequent pregnancies. The best way I found of dealing with it was to enjoy every possible minute I could of being pg, I wanted to make the most of being pg how ever long it lasts so I could look back and say I enjoyed the time I spent with my baby inside me. I still worried sometimes and I still do but I don't let my worries take over.

Good luck hun and I have everything crossed for you and your little one!

lovely to see you here Rosebud!

As Polly P said, those of us with previous losses find our own way of coping. One day at a time is the best way to tackle it. Remember that this is a completely different pregnancy to your previous one.

xxx

p.s. there is a pregnancy after loss chat thread Pregnancy after loss which a lot of us have found useful.
