Antenatal Classes

Hi guys, probably a really silly question... (mine usually are ) just wondering, we have our first antenatal class tomorrow night, do we need to take anything? Will there be lots of hands on stuff from the start, i.e. is it best to where comfy jogging bottoms or something similar? I presume I don't need to take my nursing notes....? Sorry for the daft question, thanks for reading xxxx

Hello sweetie,
they are not silly questions, you can ask any questions you like :D.
Every Antenatal Classes is different- depends on area you leave
You dont need to take anything with you, they have everything they need to show you in there and whear comfy clothes because you will be there for 1-2hours.
Some smole change if you would like to have cup of tea in there, because is for donation, if you dont want a drink is up to you.
When i went for my 1st AC they ask us if we have our nursing notes, they say where ever we go now we mast have them with us, just in case if anything happen, so from that day a carry them with me in my bag :D.
So dont worry, wish you good luck.

Heya dusky, i had very similar questions before my first Antenatal class. I did take my notes with me and the MW did ask if everyone had their notes with them because we should be taking them everywhere with us now! I think if i took them everywhere with me i'd lose them!

The second class was a breastfeeding class and she actually signed something off on the notes so u'll need them for that class. I wore casual confortable clothes (jeans, trainers and a hoody) and we did have a couple of hands on activities so that was a good idea. The info in the first class was mainly stuff i already knew but was a good refresher but the info was invaluable for DP (he couldnt stop asking questions! lol). The second class was really useful and i have my hospital visit today so im looking forward to that. good luck! xx
