Induction ???

Well went to see my consultant today and had a quick examination - my cervix is favourable for an induction and he did a sweep while he was there --- nice of him!!! -- if my little fella hasn't arrived by Monday I've to go in to hospital at 8am to have my waters broken - glad that there is an end in sight but OMG if he is not here by Monday then he's coming then!!!!! Consultant did say that I had an 80-90% chance of going before then - whooopeee!!!

I know we have know for the last 9 months that he was coming --- and have been trying to have him for over 5 years but OMG he'll be here this time next week one way or the other - argghhhhh!!!!

Lets hope he's on his way in the next 24 hours and that your labour is as short and pain free as possible!

Oh now that would be lovely - but I'm really knackered today (been awake since before 4am) so if he could give me a couple of hours sleep - in fact until the morning - say 5am when DH gets up then that would be great - quick and pain free - yup I'm up for that!!!!

Bells - I've been suffering from high BP since about week 12 so they class me as having essential hypertension (although I didn't have high BP before getting pregnant because it started so early on they class it as this) - I;m on medication to try to control it but it is still fluctuating quite a bit - I've been up at day care about twice a week for the last 3 weeks or so having BP and baby monitored. Hoping he comes of his own accord between now and Monday xx

Oh I see, better out than in then.

Well if your cervix is softened and you've had a sweep then....... well I'll be dashing back in the morning to see if there's been any news ;)

Now don't you do a disappearing act like the others, we want you on here letting us know when you're having those first contractions! :D

Now go and sleep, you were feeling knackered this morning and you may need all your energy tomorrow ;)

Good luck Bluey. This time next week you'll be a mummy of two, how exciting.

Bells I think maternity wards should have little bedside PCs so that FZers can post as soon as their baby is out.

Thinking of you Bluey. I went into labour exactly 24 hours after my sweep, so I'm hoping that you're getting into the swing of it at this very moment! I wish you lots of strength and not much pain!

Sorry to disappoint guys but I'm still hanging in there - had a busy morning (shopping!!!! :D) and then had to have a lie down this afternoon before picking DS up from school. Getting loads of twinges but nothing that is making me think this is it - I'm off out tonight for a meeting so I;ll catch up with everyone tomorrow.

Thanks for your posts guys - it means a lot.

THis baby is either very hard of hearing or is very disobedient - neither of which pleases me much !!!!! - he dosen't seem to be listening to his FZ aunties !!!!!!

Keep asking him nicely to come out and play but he's not budging :P

Was quite sick again last night and having pains in tummy --- but as usual everything stopped!!!!

Never mind - maximum 4 more sleeps to go until he's here ---- it's like a count down to a holiday!!!!!

It's just one of those things that can irritate your tum and tip you into contractions if they are going to happen anyway. For some it's curries, orange juice, pineapple, chilli........ all more gentle versions of castor oil (which is to be avoided)
