discharge or brown blood?

I know i said i'd stop worrying at 12 weeks - but just one more question!! ha. I'm a little bit concerned by the increase in brown/creamy discharge. I had a definate increase in discharge from week 4/5 but the in last couple of days i've noticed even more. I keep looking at it and trying to decide if it's discharge or brown blood. It feels sticky in texture so am not quite sure. How do you tell if it is blood or discharge if it is light brown in colour? I had my 12 week scan yday and eveything looks good with the baby.

thanks

Hi Jen

I think you'd know if it was blood. A change in your discharge during pregnancy is not uncommon. But, if you are worried you should speak with your midwife or GP. Try and concentrate on the fact that you had a good scan yesterday and all was well with the baby.
