hold your horses :D

I would say by the time you are 16 weeks you will see something there, that's generally speaking. I swelled early on and was in maternity clothes at around 12 weeks but only because it was uncomfy to wear anything that dug in a bit.

Won't be long till you are thinking I CAN'T EVEN SEE MY FEET, PUT MY SOCKS ON OR WALK WITHOUT WADDLING!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Firstly, clap Congratulations on your BFP sweetie, I am so pleased for you.

Don't worry about your lack of bump. I was the same, impatient and wanting it now. I did fill out but that was having to eat constantly to avoid sickness (that's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it :snigger:). At 16 weeks I seemed to 'pop' overnight and I am now struggling to pick things up, so if you see a fat bird waddling around Hanley, Duck, that'll be me.

Take care

xxx

At this stage your uterus is hiding behind your pubic bone. As it grows it will rise up and pop out above your pubic bone like a rising sun. Eventually it will be fully above your pubic bone and this is when it will begin to push outwards and you will start to 'show'.

I have been desperate for a bump, really want to look pregnant, have got a bit wider and my bum is def bigger but last week (week 14) noticed a small but def there bump. Everyone is different though depends how many times you have been pregnant and how big / small you are to start with.

After about 12 weeks, if you lie down flat on your back and feel for your pubic bone, (that is the part of the pelvis where your pubic hair is... just in case anyone reading isn't familiar). Feel for the bone and then move up towards your belly button. Don't be afraid of pressing down a bit, your midwife will have a good old poke when she does it. Where the bone ends and your tummy begins you will find something that feels firm, like the top of an orange, peeping above the bone. As you get further along you'll feel more of it rising up as I described before. That's your uterus... that's your bump.

Hi,

When did everyone start to see their bumps. I still haven't got one :( I have alot of bloating but nothing that resembles a baby bump. is this unusual? I kinda thought i would have something by now, even if no one else can notice it xx

I didn't get my bump until about 20 weeks and even now I'm due next week but my bump is still small and neat. I do look pregnant but it's great that I can still see my feet, put my socks on, shave my legs and other bits...!!!

You will start to show soon and if you are like me it's great saving a fortune on maternity clothes but still lovely that you look pregnant and have random strangers asking when you are due etc. xxx
