Hi guys
can't wait to hear how scan goes Gemma! We've decided not to find out what we're having, my thinking was its all been so traumatic getting to this stage that i want the surprise at the end! And you dont get many surprisies in life these days! I also think i may cope with labour better if i'm hanging on in to find out whether its pink or blue! Only annoying thing is can't buy much thats not nuetral but am going to try and keep to the decision, will let you know if i cave! Will you find out?

Thanks girls.

Had a bit of a scare on Saturday night, I started bleeding a little bit. I've written more details in my ICSI diary. My friend is a GP and she checked me over straight away, I don't have any pain and now it's just a little bit of brown spotting. I'm going to the Dr's tmr and then hopefully to the EPU for a scan.

I feel ok, just tired after a very emotional evening and a long journey home from the wedding we were at yesterday.

I've got a scan at my local EPU at 13.10 today. My GP didn't seem too worried as we'd had a positive scan on Friday. I'm still a nervous wreck though.

I'll be on later. xxx

Hi girls!

Our scan went very well. Baby is fine, wriggling, strong heart beating and growing fast. We heard the heartbeat too! Amazing!

The lady didn't actually say much about the bleeding apart from it's very common.

She was happy so we're happy.

Hope everyone is ok today xxxxxx

Brilliant news Lemms, i wouldn't worry about the size at this stage, up to 20 weeks i kept being told that my baby was HUGE! At the 20 week scan the midwife said all babies are pretty much the same at 20 weeks and you wont know whether it will be small or big until at least 30 weeks.
Good luck too this afternoon Gem, i'm feeling very positive for all of us today!

Danielle - when i say started on nursery what i've actualluy done is started clearing out a room that is full of junk. Then need to get painting and carpeting! Love the safari idea, it nice to have a theme that means something to you. I've looked through some catalogues but nothing has really jumped out at me! I may just go nuetral and get all the basics and get more creative after the birth when i know if its boy or girl!

Hello!

Gem, I'm so glad your scan went well. Did you have it done at the same place?

Sarah, I suppose you've got to start somewhere with the baby's room! Our spare room/soon to be nursery is like Widow Twanky's Laundry at the moment. I don't know where we'll dry our washing when baby's here! I suppose it should dry outside in August.

Gemma, so glad your scan went well.

Danielle, know what you mean about the laundry, H will be moving into the bigger bedroom, and that's where we dry all ours at the moment, so will have no laundry room!! :snigger:

Hi Girls,

I've got my first midwife app tomorrow, I'm very excited, although still a bit worried about this spotting. Still got some pinky brown stuff (sorry TMI) I'll speak to the midwife about it.

Feeling absolutely exhausted today and am going to bed in a minute. I've stopped feeling so sick now but have developed a bit of back ache where I think my kidneys are. ?(

Hope everyone is doing ok xxx

Not long till the 31st Liz, hope that puts your mind at rest, try not to worry, as long as baby is growing and you're taking care of yourself thats the main thing.

Gemma -glad your scan went well - i guess your next one is the 12 week?

Danielle, good luck with the mw and let us know what she says about the spotting, i know lots of people bleed on and off all throught pregnancy, sometimes when your AF would have been due?

Have any of you been offered nuchal (downs) scans or are you all too young, not an oldie like me!!

Hi girls,

hope everyone is ok xxx

I had my mw app today and it went really well. I got to here Marv's heart beat again!
My spotting has stopped!!!! So I'm happy again! She said it was very common and to make sure I don't have pain with it.

She gave me tons of booklets and leaflets and bits and pieces to read. I love reading things like that. I've got to go back next week for a million blood tests too!!!! Good job I don't mind have blood taken or I'd have a problem.

Laura, I've got my nuchal fold scan on 6th Feb at the hsop (NHS) I've got a blood test to be sent off with it.

So tired again and a needing another wee!! I'm going to count the number of times I go in 24 hours tomorrow. I;m sure I'll break a world record! :snigger:

Ok now thanks honey :)
Had to go to docs today as woke up at 4.30am feeling like i'd had 20 vodkas - room spinning every time i moved in bed and even after breakfast almost fell out of shower! Blood pressure is slightly on the low side and i'm not eating enough apparently(?). Just had a banana now so hopefully will have a good nights sleep!
Glad you still have lots of symptoms, the peeing thing should ease off for you soon which is nice if you're having to get up in the night.
Looking forward to hearing about the 12 weeks scan, we should get some scan pics on this thread!

Oh Sarah, I hope you feel better today and not so dizzy. I don't think I'll ever be told I'm not eating enough. Quite the opposite! :snigger:
