I feel exactly the same CB. Liz I am so sorry to read your news too, it's just too awful.

If there can be any comfort in a day like today, Liz, CB, Jen - so many of your friends here have been emailing/texting/pm'ing each other and coming together to send you their love. You've had their individual messages of course, but I hope that maybe a tiny bit of strength can be taken from the fact that so many people are thinking of you and caring for you all right now

xx

Gemma sweetie

I hope you haven't taken your lovely ticker off on our account. I know I can't speak for all of us, but to me its a positive reminder that this bl00dy TTC thing can work.

Eeyore, everyone has been amazing, its overwhelming and so very emotional. I can't log on without welling up, not out of self pity, but out of the enormity of how much everyone genuinely cares about each other.

How do you begin to thank people for that???

CB, Jen, Maria, Liz, Becs,as Gemma says you have all been very much in my thoughts this week, I really do care for my fz friends, and have been so upset, to see the pain you are going through, and know there isn't much I can do, and I know I keep saying it, but I really am here, if there is anything I can do, even if it's just to listen, and be here, when you need to talk/vent about how you're feeling...

Dear All but especially Jen, CB, Liz, Maria and Becs
just wanted to say again how sorry i am, been thinking about you all on and off all day. i know nothing i say can help but as a friend on here said to me in my dark days 'don't give up' and hopefully i can be a positive story.
i swear if i won euromillions or something i would donate the money to help people with infertility problems as i find it heartbreaking the waiting lists, prohibitive costs and the bloomin stupid postcode lottery.
rant over - stay strong girls, love and thoughts with you all

Exactly Gemma, that's what I think, they aren't worrying about every little twinge, or are the symptoms still there etc, and watching their bodies 24/7!....and yes, the hormones don't help!....I watched ER last night, it was so sad, and I was blubbing away!

Stardust, it sounds like you've got a good few pg symptoms there! It is hard waiting for the scan, but your 1st one may well have just been a bit too early to see a hb. That said, waiting for scans is such a worrying time, and until Tuesday arrives, and the scan is here, you are going to be worrying, I know I am about mine, so unfortunately, worrying is part of all this!
Keeping everything crossed for you Tuesday, and will be thinking of you.

Hi Stardust
everything you're feeling sounds like pregnancy to me! i remember the hungry and empty feelings very well and the wet 'down there' too - your body produces more of 'that stuff' when your pregnant - nice!
Star, Compley, Danielle and Gemma - can't wait to hear how your scans have gone! I had my 20 weeker last Friday and as usual was a complete cruying wreck beforehand, even though i thought i had felt a fluttery movement i was still convinced they would say something was wrong. The scan was really thorough, they measured everything and even check the top lip for cleft palate. i do feel alot more reassured now and am hoping i can relax a bit and TRY and enjoy this pregnancy!
On another note i've just read Jools Olivers book which has inspired me to write my own! I got a bit irritated by her 'fertility problem' (3 months of Clomid) and thought i hadn't seen anything written by anyone that had been through anything remotly like me (apart from FZ of course!) Just going through my old diaries is bringing back so many memories, how hopeful i was in 2002 when i first came off the pill! Needless to say my DH isn't that impressed by the book thing (i told him he'll love it when Kate Winslet is playing me in the film version!).
Maybe i'll post a bit on here someday to get some feedback
anyway, sleep well girls - not long til scans!
lots of love

Stadust thats fantastic news! Really really pleased for you, its lovely to have a pic isn't it? You'll be amazed at how much change there is in a couple of weeks, you'll see so much more at 9 weeks.
I felt a bit sore after my scans, not surprising really, all that prodding about, roll on 12 weeks when its an 'on the top' ultrasound!
take care of yourself

Stardust!! Wonderful news hun. Can't believe she fused the machine whilst the probe was still in you!! Dangerous!

I'm the same, the internal scans make me crampy too.

When I have my scan on Friday I'll be 9 + 1. Will they still have to use an internal scan or a normal tummy one?

They should be able to use the abdominal scanner Danielle - mine at 8 weeks used this. Having a full bladder can be uncomfy though :snigger:

edited to say: they do sometimes still use the vaginal scanner at this stage - have they asked you to have a full bladder ?(

Great news stardust! :D

When I had a 9 week scan with H, they used an external probe...I presume for my 7 week one on Thurs, it will be internal..

Had my scan this morning, and all seems well, sizes etc for 7 weeks. He did the scan externally, but we could still clearly see the baby, and hb, and we got a piccy. Am feeling very relieved now, know it's still early days, but glad all is looking ok at this stage.
