hello, can i join in? i am about 5+4wks. i am just so worried. yet again i'm awake worrying about what could/already has happened. i'm getting AF pains all the time and last night was woken up with them as they were quite severe. have got a scan on monday to see if there's a heartbeat. my DH is getting really stressed with me as he wants to be happy about it, but i just can't shake off this feeling of dread like something isn't right. i feel so awful. i can't eat not because of pg symptoms as i have'nt got any , but through worry i think. sorry for rambling at this unearthly hour. :-(

oh Hyacinth,

please try and keep calm. I know how difficult it is, but can you make an extra effort to keep yourself busy until Monday? I don't think there's any way of taking the worry away from you until you get that scan, but taking my mind off it by walking, baking, tidying has always helped me.

Thanks for your reply Jen. I do feel better now that I have taken a breath and realise that its not doing me or anyone else any good all the anxiety and worry. All I can do is wait till monday and what will be will be. I took your advice about keeping busy and have made an apple crumble and am now about to embark on gingerbread men!! Thanks again. x

Those anniversaries are still hard, even when there is a life inside you.
In a funny kind of way, I feel like all of the babies I have lost are wrapped up in the one growing now in some way.

Hey Girls
Havent been on in a while, and hope you are all keeping well, Jen, Queenzebra, DizzyD and Kel, hope all going okay with you

Suzy so glad your 20 week scan went well!! Thats was the first time I actually relaxed and started to really enjoy being pregnant..

Hyacinth - how fantastic to see that you finally got a BFP, I have followed you through the clomid chicks and you have had such a rough time of it!! Jens advice is great, I think all of us on here have had worries, both rational and irrational at some stage!! try to relax and know that being relaxed is best for the baby!

Things with me are going good, every day I wake up and cant believe we have made it this far! Have been to my antenatal classes only to discover that an epidural is not an option at the hospital I am going too!! :scared: I have been going for hypnobirthing, but it would have been nice to have an option!! its only available in an emergancy, so I have been trying to brain wash myself with the hypno birthing CDs and info over the past few weeks!!

Anyway, how is everyone else keeping?
take care

hi elvisnniamh - wow, not long for you at all now!! is your baby in a good position??

Hyacinth - been thinking of you today and hoping to hear news of a good scan xx

rosebud - are you feeling a little better now?

and queenzebra, how's that morning sickness? would you belive mine has come back!! nowhere bad as it was in the first tri but have had to rush off to the loos at work a couple of times, leaving the person I was tlaking to wondering what on earth is going on!

well, I am good. Started NCT & NHS ante-natal classes last week. am a little concerned that the hospital here will be well over capacity but trying not to think about that too much.
I have developed a rash over the last few days and the GP thinks it may be PUPPP. Had some blood taken this morning to check that my liver fucntion is okay. I'll be honest - looking forward to this pregnancy bit being over!! Jellybean is still living up to name and jumping about a lot, even though it is supposed to have less space in there now!

Hey Jens
Hope the ante natal classes are going okay, my DH came to one with me and asked me did he have to wear a pair of trainers??????????? lol....dont know what he thought we were going to be doing in the class!!! think the baby is in a good position but hasnt moved down yet, not really sure, have an appt tomorrow with the consultant, so will know more then, am very sore just under my right boob, think it might be a little leg or something!! Am due to get the swine flu vaccine after my antenatal appt..was very undecided about it for a while, but 6 pregnant women in local intensive care unit, so that was one of the deciding factors for me!! will discuss with doc tomorrow though....
Hope you are feeling okay..

Hey Girls
Hyacinth - WOW!! How exciting for you and your DH Twins!!, its great that they are keeping such a close eye on you over the next few weeks, and fingers crossed all goes well.

Hey Kel - I got the vaccine today, I spoke with my consultant before hand and he strongly recommended that I get it, the frustrating thing in N Ire is that they left it so late to release any information about it, the head of the Royal college of Obstetricians was on the News here the other night and he said that the UK, European and American societies were recommending that pregnant women get it, and also because its the only way to protect the baby from swine flu for the first 6 months, at the minute we have 6 pregnant women in intenstive care in our local hospital, so all that really swayed me, and the fact that I have a good relationship with my consultant.

As for my appt today, I discovered what the pain under my boob is...no,,,,not a foot...but the babys head!!! The baby is breech!!! Doc says she might turn by herself in the next 2 weeks if not there is an option for the hospital to try and turn her, which I dont think I want, but failing that I wil have to have a planned section at 39 weeks!! It was a lot to take in, this journey never gets any easier, but what ever way gets the baby out safely is the main thing!!

Queenzebra - good luck tomorrow....
take care

Great news Elvis! Not long to go now - can you believe it!!?
I'm OK - just started antenatal classes. My bump feels really solid and I feel really bloated - is that normal? I can feel the baby moving a lot but I thought the bump should be a bit softer.
Hope everyone else is OK.

Hi Folks,
I'm back again ...
I had a missed miscarriage and a D&C in mid September . I am 6 weeks pregnant tomorrow. I have no symptoms .. maybe a little tired. One thing I am is very indifferent to the whole thing because I don't believe that this time will be any different from the last ... and that I will have to go through the same hospital trip. X(

Don't get me wrong - I would love this to work out - but at the moment I am so negative about the whole thing. What are the chances of me having another miscarriage .. especially if I have no symptoms.

Hi wishdust,
Welcome and congratulations! On here we all know exactly how you feel, it's only natural. I had 3 mcs in a row and my heart actually sank when Isaw the blue line the 4th time as I thought 'here we go again'. I was in total denial and didn't even go to the docs to start with, but it has continued and everything crossed, hopefully this one will go all the way. It's impossible to predict - I had barely any symptoms either. Wishing you lots of luck. Maybe you should try and have an early scan to put your mind at rest?

Hello Elvis - you are so nearly there!! Wishing you luck for the big day!

Hey WIshdust...welcome and all the best for your pregnancy, I had no symptoms either at the beginning, and often moved from disbelief to anxiety within a few MINUTES!!! Hope everything goes okay for you, like DizzyD says, is there any way you can get an early scan?? I found that really really helped me in the early days...

Hey Dizzy D, so glad things are still going well for you...must be getting excited now!! Am still waiting on LO to let me know she wants out!!

Hi Dizzy Duck!

Yep - the scan went great - there was a little heartbeat and the measurements on LO were spot on for the dates.
So it looks like I am just a lucky symptom free one ..
Next scan is Jan. 5th

elvisnniamh - you still here or has LO arrived?? I can't wait to hear!!!

wishdust - wonderful news that the scan went well. hope it is plain sailing, symptom-wise for you cos the morning sickness really is awful!

hope everyone else is doing well.

I will 'hit' 37 weeks on Saturday and still can't believe it after all those lost babies. Jellybean is still really active which is sooooo reassuring. I have now finished work and pleased there is Xmas to keep me occupied until the baby makes an appearance!!

Hi Jensqui!
I can't believe we're all this far down the line now - does it still seem a bit surreal sometimes? I forget at times and then go to get up or catch sight of myself in the mirror and am immediately reminded of my colossal bulk!
So pleased you are still feeling well and lots of movements from jellybean! I guess it could be any time now for you - don't they count anything after 37 weeks as full term? Hope your hospital bag is packed and ready! Wishing you all the best on this final exciting part of the journey.
